Oh boy Killer Mike is on Real Time

If you didnt know the answers to those questions when you typed them, they are pointless.

my mayor is still being decided at the moment. I can't legally vote, but will gladly provide fundraising services to any nominee that will make affordable housing accessible to the city. I was going to put my weight behind a particular Transit supervisor, until he made it blatantly obvious that he doesn't understand the problem of racial profiling.

I agree

The biggest problem with Hillary Clinton is that she was a status quo candidate in a country that is tired of the status quo.

I'm also tired of people equating not voting for president with being politically complacent. How many of the people who voted Hillary Clinton also voted for their mayor? How many of them can even tell you who their mayor is?

Mayor is kind of a big deal but ask them about the school board

Or the judges seeking retention

County and state legislators. ..

The didn't have much to say when the DNC slandered Ellison so they could plug in Perez and we see the Democrats doing the same shit.......2018 should be a massacre for the GOP and they might not even lose congress

No I just have no use for talking politics with Republikkklans

I have never voted republican in my life..

You just another cat that wants to make stupid posts with no substance..

It was a simple question...if you unable to answer then just ignore it instead of more stupid hyperbole

Its only stupid because it doesn't fit your narrative....
No man it's stupid because it's stupid

What's my narrative scout? You don't even fucking know my position. That's just a standard thing you empty headed bastards say because you do not seek discourse, you do not seek to understand nuance, you are the one pushing a narrative.

It's a cac tactic, accusing the "other side" of what you are doing as a means of obfuscation. It's dumb ass niggas like you that function as fucking stumbling blocks. You wanna be smart so fucking bad you lose sight of the entire point of what's going on out here. You're not helping, you're fucking shit up. But knowing your lying/trolling history on this board, I gotta just look over you.

What's my narrative though? Receipts please.

Anyone who could not see the danger that Trump posed is suspect imo. It was clear he was unstable and double minded from the start. It was clear he knew nothing about government. It was clear he would not be making policy decisons and we knew far enough in advance that the people surrounding him were white supremacists and anti government, and he would be under their influence. We knew there was a vacant SCOTUS seat. We knew the GOP blocked all Obama's federal judge appointments so they can appoint folks. We knew he had signaled they would do away with the consent decrees set up with police departments if they could. We heard all the Chicago, law and order, anti-BLM dog whistles and bull horns. We saw white supremacy groups endorse him. We saw him show his ass time and time again. He gave no concrete plans. His lies changed daily. This is just a portion of what we knew well before election day. Yet and still people did not do everything legally in their power to stop this man and will not say their vote was a mistake or even say they would do it differently if they had a second chance. This is mind blowing to me.

If Hillary had lost and her supporters refused to support Bernie, I'd be talking shit about them. They thought we had the numbers to win anyway, and thought their lil protest vote didn't matter. I had warned before that the GOP cheats and the election was not in the bag. Just like the upcoming midterms, those aren't a given. Yet we still have folks around here complaining about dems not being exciting enough for them. Newsflash: maturity isn't exciting. In government, we don't want excitement, we want stability and competence. Trump can be considered exciting, and we are losing ground globally every day. I like charisma as much as the next person, but the folks who are good and knowledgeable are often going to be the awkward studious person, not the peacock.

:bravo::bravo::bravo:

Interesting....

Have you ever heard Rev Frankilns sermon "The Eagle Stirs The Nest"

basically means wit comfort comes complacency. ...

Kids that are allowed to do nothing will still be living at home into adulthood because there is no motivation to leave..

In this case politically without these exteme fuck ups what is the motivation to get up,get involved and demand change....

So the question remains with Hillary in the WH would it be complacency

I will admit that I don't know the answer to those questions, except that Nancy Pelosi will probably still be my congresswoman long after she's died.

Seriously though, seeing Killer Mike on real time ( yes, I started watching it again) really made me think about giving serious support to candidates in this upcoming election.

I didn't mean your answers to your own questions. I meant the people you accused.

The answers to the questions you asked man, read.

Lying history?

Yet you ask for receipts. ..

You make statements in stead of answering questions....

Had you been interested in discourse you would have created it by answering the initial question

Oh don't get me wrong I agree with you completely here I'm just not willing to give up on Killer Mike just yet.

He is a good dude. I appreciate his distrust of Clinton and can relate/sympathize with his commitment to progressive ideals which like it or not is about as far as it gets from the muted, "conservatism light" offered by the DNC and Hillary campaign. So I get where he's coming from.

But certainly, once Hill dawg was the candidate any intelligent person watching the clusterfuck emerging from Hurricane Trump would have held their noses, battened down the hatches and voted Hillary. Folks just hate admitting they're wrong is all.

Killer Mike can't partner with a black gun rights organization to support gun ownership? He made good points about black folks carrying and seemed to know history of some actions taken against black folks, but after not standing up for Philando Castile and the video below, the NRA can go fuck themselves.

And considering Hilary won the popular vote overwhelmingly. Not extacly sure how Black third party voters would have changed anything.
specifically- this is how slim the margin was-

If 70% of black registered voters in Miami turned out - following the historical percentage of votes shared to gop dem and 3rd party -Trump wouldn't be president.

or Milwaukee, or Detroit or Philadelphia...

libertarian or green votes to Dem in any one of those cities - would have killed Trump, higher black turnout there would have killed Trump
a lower white turnout in Pittsburgh would have killed Trump

That being said -the real villain is white women, most of those pink toed hypocrites now talking about times up and metoo - wearing feminists t shirts and buttons overwhelmingly voted for Trump

I have a question...

Had Hillary won do you think all the districts that are flipping nationwide would have flipped with her in the WH ?

Do you think the Democrats would still have had a chance of retaking congress ?

Without the extreme fuck up in office that has been enabling crakkas to come out the cloder would the pressure be on them ?

Or would it be status quo ?

And do you think we would have a conservative supreme court for the next 30 years to rule on all the laws those newly flipped districts might pass?

I agree. White women really are to blame. However...

The difference is, white women will be just fine under a Trump presidency. So their voting their conscience.

The Justice Department is actively looking to put more Black people in jail and to undo civi rights legislation, so we were (or should have been) voting for survival. We had WAY more at stake in that election.

Possibly but most cases don't get to SCOTUS so personally I am more concerned with state and local judges as well as DAs

I get your point but don't agree that we were as black folks would have any sort of guarantee. .

The polive became militarized and we were targeted under a democratic president. .

There was no legislation that protected us as much as policy or EO..

Sentencing disparities still were present..

Which was the basis of my earlier question.

We're we satisfied with status quo. .

Will the global cluster fuck that is Trump cause change because it is life or death.

I have no doubts about our survival because we have survived more...There are many who came up without much struggle that have been comfortable that are learning the hardway

We did vote for surcival there is no should have been
We hold zero responsibility
Black men and women voted for Hillary like that voted for Obama period.

Do you honestly in your heart think that these things are more easily attainable under republican rule? Yes or no, serious question.

I’m talking about Bernie Sanders Supporters the fuck you ranting about, he’s a Bernie lover who happens to be Black, he’s a problem all them Bernie supporters cost Hillary the election, stop seeing shit as Black and Cac
You're a fool if you see it as anything but black and cac my man.
Except I haven't mentioned race of voters one way or the other..
Never said you did. I asked that you stop falling for the ookie doke of assessing this as anything other than what it is. And to hyper focus on Mikes support of Bernie is just that.. And its a waste of time.

Lololololol

Stop blaming the white ppl for what they did
So you don’t think Bernie Sanders supporters gave us Trump? Most his supporters are honkies, Killer Mike is one of those supporters. Nobody is saying it’s Black peoples fault it’s Bernie Sanders supporters fault I dont give a fuck if you Black or not , if you didn’t vote because you were mad Bernie lost you a fucking clown that gave us a piece of shit Klansman for a president

‘We suppose to be brothers’

It’s a whole lotta Caine’s ass niggas and that light skin nigga ass niggas who was tryna kick knowledge on the board

Always slippin

Point blank period if the majority of white people had did they job like they did in ‘08 and ‘12 we wouldn’t be in dis predicament

You should give a fuck if you black or not
Because black people spoke at the polls and voted for Hillary those are the facts

So when you aim your hate aim it specifically at white people

White hoes def gave it away

I have a problem with anyone out here passing out bad instructions though

No downside of better turnout

No I don't think it easier...

That wasn't the point if the question though. ..

I think because Trump won, people who were comfortable are starting to get off their asses and I don't think they would have don't that if Hillary was elected. .

And easier is also a dishonest qualifier because those things were not attained under democratic rule...

But I have complained consistently that we allow our votes to be taken for granted and the most we get are crumbs...

We have to gain a powerbase and that starts by being involved and it starts at the local level...

Would Hillary have been a better president for all of America than trump is? My guess is yes...

But my point is Hillary doesn't have a history of being good for black people either..

Trump being bad for everybody is why you see activity that HOPEFULLY results in systemic changes

I commented on the topic of the thread and comments he made on the show.

If he doesn't have an remorse over his vote, then he hasn't learned anything.

Killer Mike let himself be used by the NRA. They basically said, ignore all the racial dog whistles we have issued in the past, this black guy here says we are ok, so we MUST be ok. They are using him as a shield to say they can't be racist because this one prominent black man agrees with them. Like I said, there are other ways he can promote gun ownership without going through the NRA, who spent the past 10 years using black folks to scare white folks into buying guns. I've had the gun discussion with gun enthusiasts at work and other places. They have good points regarding assault rifles, some of the same points Mike made on Real Time. Many are scary looking and scary sounding, and people respond to that. However, the NRA is not out advocating for black folks. When John Crawford was shot in an open carry state, they didn't come to his defense. They are full of shit and so is Killer Mike if he supports them.

Like I said earlier, we have some black folks who want to prove they aren't "sheep" like all the other black folks. They've evolved. They make more money or are in a different class. They have risen and now have a higher perspective than the average black person. Anyone who doesn't agree with them is still on the "plantation". They are educated. They make different choices from the herd. The problem is, in this country, the dem herd is the only thing we have at the moment. It has been prove that with all white folks voting, the GOP wins every time. Whether it is all white men or all white women. Third party candidates who can't get above a certain percentage in the polls or win a primary are a no go. Only the combination of black folks, other non whites and white liberals allow dems to win. White liberals and folk like Mike and some of these asswipes on this board let us down last year.

Dems are the ones who want to provide health care and get rid of private prisons, not the GOP. Most black folks don't have the luxury of wealth or fame to protect them, and even when they do that is no guarantee they won't get caught up like everyone else. When it came down to Hillary or Trump, no matter how much he wanted Bernie to win, he didn't have a chance so the responsible thing to do is act like an ADULT and vote for the best choice that has a chance to win. Ballscout posted a vid in another thread about Maxine Waters going off in congress. With a dem in charge, she wouldn't have had a need to because the protection still would have been there.

I have a whole thread here of the changes made that we otherwise wouldn't have had to worry about.

Now that Trump has been elected, yeah you make the best of it. I'm glad we know how deep the Russians have been involved. I'm glad we have learned about all the money laundering and outside influence that has been going on under the radar. According to this, a Qatari group was trying to infiltrate a group Ice Cube is involved in. Had Hillary been elected all the Trump stuff would have been getting investigated in the background and we would have had the GOP tying her up in hearings every chance the got, but that still doesn't make Trump the better choice. This is not a game. This is not fantasy football. Real people are being hurt behind his policies.

If all these third party voters have learned anything it will be proven soon. If they have, come midterms, we don't make the same prideful mistakes that were made in the general. We get out and vote because we know dems are better on the economy and issues for black folks. We know with a GOP congress they will continue to cover up, and even if Mueller recommends Trump be charged for treason, they don't HAVE to release his finding. So smart people will work to get dems elected, regardless of whether or not they excite them and make their naughty parts tingle. To not do so means that you think things are fine with Trump just as they are now.

Why do you keep saying "we" and "Mike" and internalizing this shit while finger pointing at blacks? You're misguided and making this far more convoluted than it should be. 3rd party voters didnt cost Hill the election. WHITE PEOPLE did. White people including Hill who admits that she should have took her ass to those states she flew over. And this notion that we some how can no longer criticize Hill or point out her flaws because Trump turned out to be a colossal piece of shit is fucking idiotic. Trumps deviance doesnt negate Hills imperfections. And if Mike wants to bring up those flaws when asked about his decision to vote 3rd party then thats his God given right to do so.

Further, you're issues with his NRA commentary are just that, YOUR issue. I watched the clip posted here, and i wasnt nearly as offended by what he said as some of you seem to be. You guys act as if he got on the platform and spoke against black interest or rights. He did not.

You people having more vitriol for Mike and his ilk than you have for the cacs that put Trump in office are fucking ridiculous.

Again, if every registered black voter went for Hill she would still be watching her grandkids today. Black people did their part. And the handful that went 3rd party are inconsequential.

Arguing against a 3rd party platform is counterproductive and a diversion from the real issue at hand.
