In the opening scene after Thanos breaks the tesseract, one the his kids say that he is the first person to ever wield two infinite stones at the same time.

But didn't Loki technically do that in the first Avengers. He came to Earth with the mind stone which powered his scepter to control people's minds when they tapped their chest. And he stole the space stone which powered the tesseract.

Dammit now I have to rewatch that movie to see if he ever has both items in his hands at the same time.

asgardians are/are not gods. the avg asgardian can lift 10 tons..... heimdall can press 70 tons loki 35, valkyrie 50, so it didn't make sense how they all got slaughtered.

So the one thing that stood out to me is how different this movie would of been if it was made a little later. One of the reasons TAhor was in this one so much was because of how well Ragnorok did and Marvel wanting to jump on that. This movie was filmed about the same time as Black Panther. If this movie was pushed back even 6 months I guarantee that we'd have a lot more of Okoye, Shuri and Black Panther.

I went on Saturday night to watch it again..Man, this movie was very good!!....Thanos was the real deal in this movie!!..one of the best super villains in the MCU...It's still alot of questions that happen in the movie need to be answers..but overall, Damn good movie!!

Thanos was more amused by Caps resistance than Cap being really a threat. When the Hulk took his L and got the anger beat of his ass, Thanos wasn't even using the Power Stone.. that's his normal skill set and power level. They didn't even show Thanos' goto move -- The PIMP Slap!!!

In the comics when Odins 2 older brother's die, he gets their powers. So when Odin kicks the bucket Thor is supposed to get a power boost. The shot he was doing on Nidavalier was stronger than we have seen him.

Hulk was able to push Thanos back some, Thors punches did nothing. He was boosted after they blew up his ship.

Oh, and merged Banner/Hulk is going to put hands on Thanos once the glove comes off.

Anyone holding the power stone cannot be beaten in a physical fight.

Thor gained some new respect from me he's been consistent as a character but he stepped up and him and the "rabbit" as he kept calling him, made a good team, Rocket tried to buy bucky's gun and arm in the middle of a fire fight

That being said, I don't think this movie was meant to appeal to a casual movie-goer & I get that, so I won't judge it.

One thing that Im not sure was explained was the thing that Gamora knew that Thanos didn't know (a reason she gave she told Starlord to kill her if Thanos ever got to her).

Because her told her sister about the soul stone, I didnt think that was the piece of information. I thought it was something no one else knew but her.

Anybody have any guesses (or clues from the comics) what that is?

She knew where the stone was and Thanos said out of everything I taught you I didn't teach you to lie, so when he looked at her sister's memory he knew she was lying about destroying the map and knowing the location, that's why she wanted peter to promise to kill her bc she was the only one who could lead thanos to it, which happened

I also find fault with those 3 Avengers beating Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive. Especially the 2 of the weakest Avengers, thats total bullshit. However, I know its a movie adaptation so I'll allow it.

The characters power levels are not the same in the movies as in the comics. We don't know how strong Heimdall and the rest are in the movies...just that they are stronger than humans. The same goes for Proxima and Corvus, they are clearly less powerful in the movies. Ebony Maw had an entirely different power set. But even still you are right that it didn't make sense that Cap's crew could beat them because even within the movie universe Scarlet Witch and Vision are among the most powerful member of the team (granted Vision was fucked up so he couldn't help that much). It's just one of the flaws of the flick.

It is a kings weapon. Odin has a shit load of them. Thor and Beta Ray Bill had to fight over Thor's hammer. In the end he gives Bill his own.

No. We see Warlock's cocoon at the end of Guardians 2, which takes place in 2014. Captain Marvel's movie takes place in the 90s.

Exactly. Spiderman 2 coming out after the next movie so you already know that he is coming back. None of those people are really dead. They're comic book dead, which basically mean they're gone until the next big event and then they'll find some way to come back to life.

Maybe I'm jaded because I've read comics for most of my life. But I felt nothing seeing The King and Spiderman 'die'. People near me in the theater were tearing up. Especially with Black Panther. I saw an older black couple and what looked like their grandkids walk out pissed. I'm jealous that I couldn't feel it as strongly as those people.

But I've read comics for so long that I know how this shit works. Spiderman's death meant as much as the time Darkseid killed Bruce Wayne and DC swore up and down that he was really dead and never coming back. Like bitch please, I'm not new here and you ain't killing Batman. See you next summer Bruce. Same with all the people who died here. See you next movie Spiderman.
