I think what happened is that they shouldn't have been the 3rd seed to begin with. They were one of the few teams to actually have a healthy roster aside from a few guys missing a few games. They aren't good enough to be the #3 seed.

Naw you aren't what you are though. Warriors had injuries. Pelicans lost Cousins. Spurs lost Kwahi. Jazz shipped out Rodney Hood and had to speed up the process of their rookie......., T-Wolves lost Butler, Thunder...a mess but they had to learn how to play with each other bringing in Melo and George.
Blazers got more chemistry than anyone. They brought the same team back as last year. The core has been there for some time except Nurkic who got traded there. Blazers are the most healthy and had the most chemistry. They just aren't very good. Lillard is a premier talent. McCollum is a solid all star who relies on his jumpshot but is undersized and not much athleticism. Aminu, Evan Turner, Harkless, Ed Davis, Napier...this team just isn't very good. They had no business being the 3rd seed. Pelicans look a superior team...and they probably are. The 3 best players on the court are Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday, Miroric....you could argue the 4th best player is Rondo. You gotta go to the 5th best player in order to get to Lillard. They gonna get swept if they don't find their way.
