UFC 223: The Cursed and the Damned (Links Please)

Man no one is talking about this but, they might make the fight between khabib and Diaz. Diaz would probably sub him get the belt and fight Conor again.

Just a thought.
Diaz don't wanna fight. He just wants the Conor fight for the money. He ain't got tbefire for nothing else.

I think Diaz would get tossed around
His best bet would be to stay standing but I can't see that happening
Diaz doesn't deserve the opportunity though

Kabib got exposed a little
I dunno why people are acting surprised about his level of striking. And he actually beat Al on the feet. But his striking only worked against people scared of his takedowns. Al kinda wasn't. I always thought Conor was the best matchup for him because he has KO power , far superior striking , and decent takedown defense.

With them two, it's one of the other getting beasted on.

This fight actually made him better

although Khabib has never been a stand-up guy, he took 2 rounds off. You can tell.

he jabbed and didn't commit to anything.

His only shot at fighting Conor again is getting that belt. Plus he has been beefing with Khabib.

Diaz has good BJJ and crazy cardio. He is also long I think his guard we be problematic for Khabib.

I don't think he deserves a shot either but, we all know how the UFC works.

I expect to see Diaz become real active on Twitter soon.

I hate to say it about the Diaz brothers but at this point , they don't have it. Nate can get up the energy to fight Conor. Mind you, at 155, he prolly wouldn't even look good against Conor. That's just the style tbat he would match up with. I don't think he can fuck with Khabib on the ground, even though He's got great BJJ. And he won't be able to keep Khabib from taking him down. I guess it's worth a shot for the money though.

Good performance from Evans-Smith on the prelims over Rawlings. Smart of Lawzon's corner to call off the fight after 2 rounds. Their guy has taken plenty of damage already over a storied career. Nothing left to prove. Fighter safety is key. Great fight from Zabit M & Bochniac. Them dudes are wildly tough! Great job by JJ and Rose. That fight lived up to the hype. Very competitive. Crazy to see Mercier get the big upset over Dunham. Props to Iaquinta. Very good toughness and durability shown versus a highly-ranked competitor on short notice. Just didn't have the volume of offensive output to contend with a higher-ranked guy. No shame in that. That's not number one bullshit.

Lol@ja rule intro music

LOL @ dude walking out to Ja Rule's song
Someone should've told him how Rule's career ended
Kabib gonna body him like Fiddy

:giggle::giggle::giggle:

Funniest moment of the night at the fight party. People heard Ja Rule's song and started randomly yelling out Ja Rule and Murda Inc song titles, lyrics, and hooks. I asked them what they knew about Ashanti and told them to check Google Images, IG and YouTube for her bikini photos and lap dance footage from her concerts. People were distracted for several minutes before fight talk resumed. Plenty of people appreciating her thickness!

:roflmao3::fucking:

Khabib would rag doll Nate Diaz easily. Connor would only have a chance first 2 rounds! But if he didnt put Khabib away by then it would be over for him.
Connor’s cardio has been his weakness plus after grappling with Khabib that would drain his punching power. Sucks we didnt get to see Tony vs Khabib.

Probably never will

Yeah Nate is just not a factor.

But Conor /Khabib is an interesting matchup and always has been. More than even Tony or Max imo.

Cuz Conor does have great striking and KO power. His weapon is just as deadly as Khabibs, except the fight STARTS standing up. But if it gets to the ground, he's a wrap. One of them is gonna get fucked up.

Tony or Max are more complex matchups for both of them. Anything can happen. And let's not forget when Brian Ortega gets in that mix! And plenty of others.

It's a good time for this game.

Meanwhile boxing can't get the best to fight the best

Agreed re: Nate Diaz. He's tough and durable ... but really gets chopped up with the leg kicks as evidenced by the likes of RDA, Ben Henderson, Conor & others over the years. They really wear / wore him down.

Khabib wants to fight GSP.

Yep - looks up to him, and acknowledges him as one of the best athletes to ever do the sport. Mentioned it in interviews, and to the UFC on Fox panel yesterday. GSP has hinted at wanting to try his hand at 155lbs ... after having won the 170 and 185 titles previously. Unsure if GSP could ever make it down to 155 healthily though. He experienced side effects from putting on mass to get up to 185, and he already carries a fair bit of musculature on his frame. Don't know how his performance would be on the back end of his 30s cutting down to that weight class via depleting himself physically with the weight cut (and then facing a beast like Khabib). The takedown attempts & defense on both sides would be interesting. As would the control positioning, grappling, and escapes though. They are both quite dominant with their ground work.

After last night, there is a lot of people not scared of fighting Khabib anymore... I always thought the reason he was still undefeated is because he never fought someone who could negate his style like Ben Askren or Kevin Lee.

Aight, I just woke up, and I'm way too hungover to read the last few pages...

WTF is up with this Mayweather shit?

And why does Khabib all of a sudden wanna fight GSP? Does he not know that GSP is on an entirely different level?

Can someone please start the Wrestlemania thread? I think I'm still drunk from last night. :(

I can't do it.
