I agree its not illogical for black people to expect one of their own to benefit them. I think it is illogical to expect him to be able to do anything that appears to be specifically for black people in the racist society we live in. So anything he wanted to do would have to be included as a general legislation.
Black people work, the over time rules would have helped.
Black people retire, and are often taken advantage of financially, the laws saying that financial advisors have to work on behalf of their clients would have helped.
Both of which have been blocked by Trump.
Black people get sick and die from preventable diseases because they lacked healthcare. Obamacare allowed people to get healthcare.
Y'all act like we don't work and live like the rest of America.
Trump can do and say anything he wants because he has a congress that is going to fight for him and protect their own asses. Obama never had that sort of support. If Obama had even one of the scandals Trump has had, he would never have even gotten elected. Y'all sit on this site every damn day talking about how the playing field isn't level for black people, and how racist this country is. Did things somehow change for Obama? His white mama may have made people more comfortable in voting for him, but that background was no no shield for him.
Anytime he weighed in on any black issues, from Trayvon on, the rw media outlet got to work, and that is all we heard about. Everything he did or tried to do was painted as reparations for black people. He had people fighting him every step of the way, while Trump has people trying to give him cover every step of the way. Stop acting brand new. I know YOU of all people know better.
