Test audiences HATED Deadpool 2

Not done. Go ahead and post YouTube videos from December.

I'll post stories from three days ago.

"We’re still a ways away from that deal going through, but one wonders if studio chief Kevin Feige and his vast creative team are already thinking about the possibilities of having the X-Men, Fantastic Four and the like back under their own roof.

In a chat with EW, Feige was asked just that. His response was pretty much what you’d expect, but it’s exciting to know that even more possibilities await Marvel in the future whether or not the Fox deal goes through at all. Feige stuck with the party line about the next phase of the MCU that’s already been announced; they do have quite a few films to release over the next months and years after all. But he did add a little quip there at the end that teases just how anxious Marvel brass are to have their original IP back in the shop."

Uh, huh. Yeah.
This is the SAME Kevin Feige who didn't say shit about Spider-Man actually being in Civil War until 2 months before the movie came out.
Fuck the naysayers. I'm sticking with the proven winners.. :bravo:

  • The total compensation is tied to the closing of Disney's planned $52.4 billion acquisition of film and TV assets from Twenty-First Century Fox and meeting performance targets.
Also included in the link above:

"The Fox acquisition is undergoing a regulatory review that could take at least a year and has been complicated by Comcast Corp's bid for one of the assets, Britain's Sky PLC."

What comic storyline do you think Marvel will use to incorporate the Xmen into the MCU?

New Secret Wars? Age of Apocalypse?

They've spent a decade not mentioning mutants and focusing on the wack ass Inhumans.

When they bring mutants to MCU I expect timeline / alternate universe gymnastics to make it work.
no need for all that - MCU core is established, the universe just keeps expanding

All they have to do is take it back to the tone of 1960 books - stories about an underground feared misunderstood group of people that are emerging at first as urban myths through the MCU
introducing 2 or 4 mutant characters that are scared lost angry before doing an xmen movie
Nick Fury knows Logan from spec ops and is aware he is a mutant and has files on a few other mutants
simultaneously intro Latveria and a herald of Galactus before doing a F4 movie

or use Scarlet witch to intro Magneto - who is no longer a jew, instead a muslim survivor of the Yugoslav / Serbian war

or start with Hank Pym and Banner trying to help Kitty Pride

No disagreement here.

Too bad they cast Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin in IM3, I would have loved to see him cast as Professor X, with Rutger Hauer as Magneto.
I always thought ed Harris would've been a good magneto if they gave him the role in late 90s early 2000s... His voice, his facial features, and rage rant moments to me would've been the perfect fit

That's the only one that touched on the ideological differences between Xavier and Magneto juxtaposed over the Civil Rights movement.
Yes.
Peace to Darvin...
:hmm:
No doubt. I just think Marvel/Disney, if and when they do get the rights back, will want to start off from complete scratch.
It has to man... XMen is such a rich franchise with soooooooooo much material and so many great complex characters.. MCU made Capt America vanilla ass a compelling hero. Imagine what they would be able to do with that XMen lineup..

Corporate legalities aside.
It's still a done deal. The acquisition of Fox by Disney has been OFFICIALLY announced.:dunno:
Goddam, why is it so hard for you to either understand or admit?

Until they walk down the aisle, sign the marriage license and finalize the marriage, NO, it ISN'T a done deal.

Disney and 20th Century FOX announced a damned engagement to wed. Engagements have been broken off before the wedding.

no point in arguing. dude has been hit with multiple current articles of news that explain that this is not a done deal. it was just an announced deal.

he chooses not to understand.

as you said announced mergers commonly fail. he chooses not to understand that. even after being provided with proof of other announced mergers failing.

Ummm...
Yes dude.
Deadpool IS now a Marvel movie.
Disney now owns the ENTIRE Fox movie and TV library.
This includes The X-Men franchise, The Fantastic Four franchise and yes, The Deadpool franchise as well.

Now, I'm pretty sure Marvel will allow X-Men Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2 to be released as planned by Fox before both properties are absorbed into the MCU completely.
But yeah bro, Deadpool is now totally a Marvel Cinematic Universe property....
No
you are very misinformed
Deadpool 2 is NOT MCU - do you also think Venom is MCU?

Disney doesn't own Fox... yet

all the productions you are seeing: Dark Phoenix New Mutants Deadpool etc are
solely Fox financed produced and distributed

Until the federal gov't (anti trust) approves the deal,
Disney has no control or input on Fox' creative or business decisions nor do they get a cut of profits outside of existing licensing

As for Wonder Woman; it was plagued by multiple reports of it being a bad film prior to its release. In the end though, it was all a bunch of bullshit and the movie was great... :D
That's what I figure will happen with Deadpool 2...
:giggle:

to each their own -

but keep hope alive

Captain America: Civil War
CaptainAmerican_15-150x150.jpg
did far better than Captain America: Winter Soldier
Captain-America-The-Winter-Soldier-Movie-Poster-HD-Wallpaper-150x150.jpg

Civil War: 1.15 Billion
Winter Soldier: 714.30 Million.

$$$$ Of course Civil War is gonna do better it was pretty much another Avengers movie.

But as far as stand alone Winter Soilder was the shit

you need to read better reporting - in perfect conditions no deal like this can move forward without anti-trust oversight from the federal government - in this case Comcast is doing a good job of preventing it from consummation

Here is the complete initial agreement
Disney to Buy 21st Century Fox Assets for $52.4 Billion

here is the complete business side of the deal - its very far from done

Recent news on the deal:

Jan 30, 2018 - With a potential Disney-Fox merger on the horizon, how much has Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige thought about integrating the X-Men and Fantastic Four?

Comcast May Make Another Bid for 21st Century Fox (Report) – Variety
Feb 11, 2018 - Comcast is considering pursuing 21st Century Fox yet again, according to a report published Sunday night by the Wall Street Journal. Comcast's initial bid was rejected by Fox, which instead struck a deal with Disney in December — a $52.

avengers vs x-men storyline

j3SOktP.gif

rode Avengers' coat tails

It's close but blade 2

Go back and look at it in context

Very very early CGI and mixed with practical effects were great for their time.

Fight scenes with sword play

they pioneered a while lot of camera tricks and effects

That first blade was gritty I get it

But that was a SOLID sequel.
