I got my business license in 1996 to open blackgirlonline.com to sell videos, the board came along later around late 1997/1998. To be as close to accurate as possible I changed it to 1998. I quit my job in Jan 1998 and the board was up at that time in its infant status, so I let 1998 stand as the board start year.
