one thing i didnt like about Black Panther

The only thing I didn't like was that it was too short. I expected a 3-hour movie and was disappointed when it was only 2. When it finished, I was like "That's it?" I thought it was lazy writing, but then I found out that Disney cut 2 hours from it.

I didn't like how weak he was without the suit.
He didn't have the potion flowing thru him. Once it's stricken, he's basically on par with all the other warriors. T'Challa is a A black panther. There have been others and there will be others. The potion enhances the abilities of whoever is worthy of having the title of Black Panther. He and Eric are pretty much equal when it comes to fighting.

Man i swear i said the same exact thing. Totally agree. She is so underused. Im glad she made the film at all tho.. I was skeptical when she appeared in that WW trash (underused there as well).
wacky woman shit lol. you right bigbro

I agree. I could be wrong but I thought T'challa had super human strength like Captain America. I feel like if I trained for 3 months, I might have a shot at beating his ass. Plus his dialogue was too limited.
See my post above. He had enhanced abilities when the potion is in him, which is why they kept removing it before he fought Eric and Man Ape. It would not have been fair.

The heart shaped herb is a natural form of the super soldier serum that enhanced Captain America. With it Black Panther is as strong as Cap.

During the first two challenges with M'Baku and Killmonger T'challa had his abilities removed so that the challenge fights would be fair.

Seems like a lot of people didn't catch this. Might have been due to Forests accent.

Ok. Did he have a legit fight scene without the suit? He basically had the South Korea scene with the suit, the killmonger and ape man fight scene w/o his powers and the last scene with the suit. Can't remember him really showing his abilities w/o the suit.

He doesn't have any abilities. He is just a skilled fighter, same as Eric and M'Baku. If either one of them were to drink the potion, they would have the abilities that T'Challa displayed while wearing the suit. That's why they brought the potion to MBaku, for him to drink it and fight Eric. T'Challas father was the previous BP, he didnt have any abilities either unless he put on the suit and took the potion.

He beat M'Baku without the suit or any powers.

During the casino brawl he fought without the suit & his kicks were sending katts flying. The suit doesn't give him powers. It just makes him bullet proof & absorbs kinetic energy that he can use for energy originated attacks

During the fight in the casino BP jumps up to the balcony from the first floor when he was chasing Klaw.

The movie was not that great. It was hyped up like it was a classic or something when it was far from that in my opinion.

In my mind, I'm comparing Boseman's fight scenes to Cap A. In the 1st Cap movie they showcased his strength & the benefits of the super serum w/o using the shield. The BP movie made me feel like he was super human only when he had the suit on.

This is just nitpicking, it was an outstanding movie regardless.

My two gripes:

how advanced a society like Wakanda but they still using medieval weaponry and tools?? that made no sense

Why they got M'Baku barking like a dog?? This film is purported to be about black empowerment & superiorty but they still reinforcing old stereotypes. that was unnecessary imo :smh:

To me, it was better than any other Marvel movie. Especially the directing. But I'm not that much of a fan of Marvel. The Guardians of the Galaxy are my favorite ones along with Black Panther. I also liked Age of Ultron because they had that fast superhero guy in there even though people dont like that one for some reason. I'd put that one above the first Avengers, all the Ironmans, all the Thors, Hulk, Spiderman and all the Captain Americas except maybe Civil War.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is my favourite.
