Can a gorillas killed a lion?

A gorilla's neck is well protected. You can barely even see it. Without a neck to attack, the lion would have a hard time killing the gorilla. Lions primarily kill their prey by compressing the jugular veins or throat of the animal.

  • Their natural habitat is the tropical rainforest of Central Africa.
  • Silverback Gorilla is the name given to the adult male Gorillas because of the silvery fur running across their backs and hips.
  • Humans and gorillas have a very similar genetic makeup. These close relatives share 98% of our DNA.
  • Gorillas live in groups or communities with a clearly defined social structure. A dominant alpha leads the group of other males, females and young in daily activities such as eating and sleeping.
  • Adult male Gorillas are approximately six times as strong as a man.
  • Standing at up to 6 feet tall (182 cm) with arms that extend up to 8 feet (243 cm) wide, Gorillas are the largest living primates.
  • Gorillas are mainly herbivores that feast on a variety of roots, plants, herbs, fruit, bamboo, tree bark and occasionally, insects. Adults can easily eat up to 66 pounds (30 Kg) of food per day.
  • Gorillas in the wild can live from 40-50 years and slightly longer in captivity.
  • Gorillas spend the morning and evening hours actively searching for and eating food while midday is spent playing and resting. Each evening they make their own nests, mostly out of vegetation, before going to sleep for approximately 13 hours.
  • Gorillas are known for being very intelligent animals. In the wild they communicate through vocalizations, body language, facial expressions and gestures. In captivity they have been known to learn sign language.
  • Although generally quiet and calm animals, they can become aggressive towards one another. Dominant males, in particular, will beat their chest, scream, roar and bark while standing upright in a show of power.

  • Breeding for females usually takes place around age ten but can sometimes be a little earlier. It is around this time that the females leave their original family group in search of another group. Males leave their families a little later at about 11 years old.
  • Gorillas give birth to one baby at a time and just like humans, the gestation period for Gorillas is nine months.
  • Newborns are kept very close to the mother for the first few months. When they reach about 4 months, the mothers begin to carry the young on their backs.
  • In stark contrast to the adult Gorilla that can weigh between 200-400 pounds (90-181 kg), the newborn babies are born very small weighing in at just 4 pounds (2 kg).

Question wasn't answered... but my guess is gorilla could kill a lion but would later die due to mortal injuries dealt by the lion.

wasn’t there a thread w/ BGOL niggas saying they could go toe-to-toe w/ a silverback??

Is there video proof of a gorilla benching 4600 lbs? Is that a one rep max or can they do it for reps?

I would also like to know a gorillas 40 yard time, 3 cone drill, vertical jump, and can it drop back into coverage or is it just a run stopper.

You know....for research.:D

Man these dudes are fucking crazy if they believe that bullshit. There is no fucking way a gorilla bones will allow him to hold up that much weight.

4600lbs...come on man

Plants break down nitrogen to make protein and only plants can make protein

The largest and strongest terrestrial animals are plant eaters, elephants, rhino, gorillas, buffalo and so on

Animal protein is just recycled protein

Okay, I'll play nice with you. Especially considering you gave a crude explanation. The natural follow up question, at least to me, based on that response is the following:

HOW does that make Plant Protein BETTER than Animal Protein. If as you say it's just recycled? What properties defines it?

:rolleyes2:

You think the “veggies” is what gives them that strength?

I ain't no tree hugging, veggie warrior but I have begun to eat mindfully. That being said, it goes to show that animal protein isn't the only way to support great strength.

I just told you that plants break down nitrogen to make protein, an animal like a gorilla uses that protein stay strong.

Our bodies are designed for plant protein absorption, we have long intestines like these plant eating mammals.

Meat eating mammals have shorter intestines.

Eat nothing but animal meat every day for a full yr and tell us how it works out for you.

I understand; My purpose is geared towards accuracy; Protein "can" be a source of energy. But it's not the primary source. Additionally, Protein, as is being defined here, is NOT what provides "great strength" . That's a completely different anatomical and physiological mechanism all together.

I asked and you provided an answer; Thanks!
