I think Idris is fantastic and under utilized but...
Ppl forget that Blade literally began the resurgence of comic book flicks. Also...Wes is a rare talent that can do it all, Comedy, Drama, Lead in a RomCom, Action... he could have been an all time great if he didnt get derailed and he got the right projects imo. [/dickriding]

So studios can sell him fairly easily opening up a few more roles than he normally would receive just based on his skill level. Washington has some certified classics so I don’t know if he will get to that level

Idris' career and star power is dependent on the scripts & roles he agrees to play. He has yet to make an iconic movie yet like "Shawshank Redemption" or "Goodfellas" where 20 years later fans are quoting dialouge. Most cac Americans have no idea who Idris is. That needs to change if he is to become a global STAR.
