Kamala wouldn’t beat Trump.

No one knows who she is, and she’s a black woman not named Oprah.

It’s either Oprah or Joe Kennedy. All the rest of the Dems would lose.

P.S. there’s no way Trump would win Michigan, Ohio, or Pennsylvania against a Kennedy. If he can’t win those states, he cant’t win an election.

Outlook is bleak

Nah. This isn’t the dozens. He’s smarter than Trump, he gives a damn, and he comes from US royalty.
He was in front of the world with a yuckmouth and has has zero presence.
That Kennedy shit is done just like Clinton and Bush.
People don't want rehashes
Oprah is looking like the one to me but I can't see this country electing another black president for a minute

And he’s damn near a Millenial. By 2020 they’ll be the largest voting block or close to it. You get them energized, and it’s a wrap. joe Kennedy and pick Juaquin Castro from Texas as his running mate. Give Latinos and Texas a chance to elect the first Latino VP in history.

Trump would be finished. There aren’t enough old white people to out vote millenials, latinos, and black people if they get engaged.

Done in Florida maybe. But not in the midwest.

Young whites voted trump too.
Pray for impeachment

Everyone thought Hillary was good $$$ too.
Trump would destroy Kennedy
He looked like a fish out of water up there sweating.
Imagine if the economy is still good.
You won't be able to tell trump shit.

Not all millenials are white.

Millenials voted 55-37 for Clinton.

And impeachment ain’t happening. No way 67 senators will vote to remove Trump. You’d need 15 to 19 Republican senators to vote to remove him.

we're fucked then
Unless we flip a lot in November

The 37% don't mean shit imo
One because the polls are unreliable
Two, his base will show up and vote. You can't count on the young people.
Another thing I been saying is by the time the election rolls around people will be used to trump and his shit talking.
"Oh that's just trump being trump, my 401k is booming though "
what was once unthinkable will be normal

Just because you give the response to the state of the union doesn't make you the next nominee. There will be more of these before 2020.

Exactly. There is no chance Joe wins the nom (well after this Trump shit we should never say never). He didn't help himself tonight imo with the shit all over his mouth..bad optics. I couldn't even listen to his message.

Kamala should have done it. The problem is the Dems are still chasing white voters .. that's why they put Joe out there.

People choosing flash over substance is what got us Trump. Dems need to grow up. If Cecil the Turtle runs for office against Bugs Bunny and the dems don't choose who can and will govern vs who will be jerking off with Elmer and Daffy then we deserve another 4 years. It's not fucking highschool where we choose the cheerleader and the jock. We need brains. Choose the nerd who will get the job done and do it right. I know a certain amount of charisma helps, but we are supposed to be choosing a leader, not reality TV entertainment.

I kind of disagree with you here. Being charismatic had always been a huge part of national politics. Dems do have a problem with wanting a perfect candidate, but Joe Kennedy ain't it. I do agree with the GOP in that you can't talk about trust-fund babies on the GOP side running things and then put a Kennedy up there (regardless of his liberal history)... it's a muddled message.. reaks of hypocrisy. I also think the dems are still chasing the white voters they think they can win back instead of rebuilding the Obama coalition.....and thus they put a Kennedy out there.

and real talk... i couldn't get past the shit on his mouth... im sorry .. what was that? what were they thinking.. this isn't radio.. this is tv.. optics matter.

Whoever is running in 2020 needs an organization in place this year to get ready to start campaining in 2019. Whoever is going to throw their hat in the ring needs to get going.

If young people don’t vote it won’t matter who the Dems run. They will lose.

If hypocrisy meant anything at all, Trump wouldn’t be president.

Also, Obama did well enough with working class whites to beat Hillary in the primary and to hold onto the Midwest. The thing that helped a lot with those voters was the first big endorsement Obama got.

From Ted Kennedy.

Don’t sleep on working class white’s affection for the Kennedy brand.

And don’t sleep on Millenials.

I don't know. I saw a thread on another board that said he was drooling, the pics looked to me like lighting, but my eyesight is horrible so you can't go by me.

I'm not saying Kennedy is "the one". I've seen him speak better in the past, and there is no telling who we will have to choose from by the time 2020 rolls around. However, wanting a dem version of Trump is not the answer.

This past year seems like it's been 10. Regardless of who we put up, if after all the protections he has rolled back, all the racial strife he has stirred up, all the Russia stuff and criminal activity he appears to be involved in, and the stress and exhaustion the nation has had to experience, if we don't do everything in our power to GOTV behind what ever candidate then we have only ourselves to blame. This shit is NOT normal. Freaking Stolkholm syndrome, dysfunctional critters or something has warped people's minds.

For the life of me, I don't understand why the number one priority isn't to vote him out. Yes I'd like a good, solid candidate, and we should do everything possible to produce one, however we need to make the decision to get behind whomever wins the primary.

Does DT stop being a danger to the country and someone we should let stay in office because the dem candidate is a lil less than exciting? SMH...

"Black people need to wake up". Well I'm fully awake and I'd like to be able to sleep without wondering if my country will still be functional in the morning.

If hypocrisy meant anything at all, Trump wouldn’t be president.

If we've learned anything, it should be that Trump is an exception to the rule. This isn't a new reality for politics bruh.

Kennedy's have a liberal brand. The Dems are already getting those voters. Bernie had all the Millenials too.

The Dems win when they get the black vote out, period.

Dems often struggle with messaging. GOP are horrible at governing but they know how to drill down the same stupid shit repeatedly. Look at small things like "Chain Migration"... look at how horrible that makes immigration sounds. It's always been called "family migration" as immediate family members are often eligible. That's how Melania's family lives in the U.S. now. But they picked up white supremacy terminology and repeated the shit so much that mainstream media has now adopted it. Just using that term alone means you lost.
