Star has joined Everyday Struggle

Yeah I get it. I get that's how Nadeska is.....I think she should speak up more though honestly. Maybe she needs to get acquinated with Star and gain more chemistry as time goes on I guess.
If you check the history she did the same thing with joe. I mean I thought at one point she was even scared of him or hated him but then they begin to flow better before he left.

I never liked Star. He tries too hard to be contrarian, obtuse, argumentative... Just for the sake of attention. Any intelligent person sees him for who he is.

Joe Budden wasn't/isn't like that. Joe may have unpopular opinions and stances but he always had something rational to back up those opinions or stances...

Add to that fact that Joe Budden really raps, raps well, has always rapped well, and has an extensive body of work that rivals that of rap legends.... he's respected by rap's elite so his opinion/stance holds some weight, a lot more than these fucks.

Somebody tell whateva the fuck his name is to crawl back into whateva hole he been in for the last 20 years.

Aye brah. Don't chase em. Replace em.
Let joe go

Show was better today than yesterday but i'd rather have Star in the Morning back, I need my daily dose of Star and Shampoo turned up to the max

So I've seen every episode since Star has been there.....I might be in the minority.....but these last few episodes.......were better than when Joe was there. I never liked Joe's entitled attitude and his contradictory statements he would make...and his tweaking rants.

there’s a poise that star brings to the show...despite his hater schtick there’s a level of professionalism that he brings...idk if younger fans can/would appreciate it...I agree that joe was all over the place and for me it was unsettling...it led to some drama tho which folks (including myself @ times) liked but there were other times where he just seemed spaced out for lack of a better word...like he just wasn’t fucking there...as a result you had some shows that were good and others that just weren’t worth watching cuz he brought nothing to the table on those days...I initially started watching the new season to see how star would get @ ak but I find myself enjoying the show and the quick rapport they’ve developed...I’ve watched every show so far since he’s been on...hope they keep it up...it actually feels like a professional show...again idk how well it will resonate w/ younger audiences tho

this isn't a music podcast anymore
-its only fan reaction now.

Last 2 episodes especially - either Star didn't know what the fuck he is talking about or is happily trolling Ak n Nedeska - most times there is no analysis on the industry or business, he rarely gives any logic, analogy, facts or personal experience to back up his opinions...
really listen to this shit here

- this dude literally spoke in gibberish - so young heads should love him

there is very little debate now- mostly Ak and Nadeska trying to get a straight answer out of Star or get a follow up or get clarification on his vagueness....

today was the Grammy episode and it was 45 minutes of nothing - no edge, no real perspective, no hot takes, no deep dive...

shit was just Star trolling about guessing the winners without shedding light on:

- why the white girl had more "impact" among Grammy voters than Sza...

- why Jay didn't campaign to win any awards this year

instead all we got was Star trolling with contradictory false narrative
Star's logic: Alessia Cara won because of limited impact - Jay lost because of limited impact

Everyday Struggle? is now SAFE, it fits in with Complex's other drivel - in two weeks they'll start having sponsors.

There is no longer any reason that anyone with industry curiosity, knowledge, or access should watch the show...

This won't have a viral moment again until Star is better prepared and takes off the muzzle (exception: if a guest with real smoke for Ak gets booked)-
Every fucking episode Star deflects by bringing up his resume, when cornered he retreats to attacking Ak with what-about-isims...

Troll the audience, not your co hosts...

Unless I misunderstood what Star was saying....I thought he said Alessia Cara was big with the youth. And she is. She also sung in two hit records this year on that Zedd song which he mentioned but didn't speak on the Logic song.

I think he's trolling the misinformed. I never took this show serious because I don't believe these people believe the shit that comes out of their mouths.

They've gained popularity and as a result they aren't being 100% honest. Post Malone and Uzi ain't shit but they want me to believe they are?

This is my exact thoughts thoughts to the T. Mind you I actually don't like Star. But this show is better with him then it was with Joey. That reckless shit they was on was fine for a episode but I had to stop watching. Joey was unwatchable at times.

It felt too much like the Joe Budden show and now at least everyone contributing to the show now. Like how are you going to be discussing a topic and mid sentence just forget what you are saying and start going on those tweaker and clucker rants.

Star never said anything close to what you said... anyway Ak would have killed that argument with metrics, pop culture, and social media
Thats like someone arguing Magnolia's impact was comparable to Unforgettable or Wild Thoughts

If you imagined the comp in that category was like Despacito vs Shape of You vs What I Like - you're uninformed

The fact that you wrote "I don't believe these people believe the shit that comes out of their mouths." means you too are part of the misinformed / uninformed

Everyday Struggle was a hit because it was REAL - as fucked as it may sound: The show was an honest window into how the music/ entertainment industry works...
Thats why many in the industry watched and reacted to the content so quickly

it doesn't matter what you believe ...
you don't know shit about this
and my guess is you are well aged out of the audience that made those two artists hot since 2016

So it's what I thought it was going to be?

Star knows his gossip because that's what he studies but he doesn't give a fuck about the music.

I don't think that it's going to work in this format

:dunno:
we'll see -
they are still trying to figure it out - but I'm starting to think Star may not care enough to really invest his time on home work

He's pretty much said fuck rap for 20 years and that he likes rock, so I think he can fake it

There was nothing honest ever about this show.

Star didn't say Alessia Cars was popular among the youth? That's what he said verbatim lol.
