sign up for an account on coinbase.com its a trading platform. link a debit card to transfer funds over as setting up ACH transfers will take several days. without doing all the extra validation (uploading your id) you can transfer up to $400 a week instantly. submit a buy order for Ethereum using your linked account. Since coinbase doesn't offer ripple you will need to sign up to another platform such as binance to transfer the ethereal over to that platform. Once your transfer is completed you can perform a order of ripple using the ETH.

I see something in a coin, then i research it and then if I feel it, then I buy it. Then I just hold it and not worry.

My one mistake has been not buying more when it goes below my buy price. I started correcting that though.

OK so I have a question... So I bought in to an ICO Called Presearch.... It's currently number 183 on coinmarket's cap... I have about 1000 tokens....its sitting on their website though... When I go to withdraw them it asks for an ethereum wallet...is this normal for ico's

It's not unheard of especially if it isn't on an exchange yet. It's more than likely an ETH based token. I normal send them to a MEW wallet.

Yes, judging by what you've provided the tokens were erc20 tokens which can be loaded into an eth wallet.

Fuck coinbase. You'll lose money with their bullshit limits. Bitstamp allows for a much higher limit while you wait for coinbase to drag its fucking feet.
