Someone asked Tariq about this on his Ustream show...and he was like "thats his business and im not going to get into that...Perhaps Dr. Umar was expecting Tariq to come out stronger in his defense...

Well I'll take my L on Umar (even though I rock with his ideas on what Black students should be learning education wise). The rift started between them during that consious stripper non story which was blown up by people who hated Umar in the youtube "conscious community ". Tariq kinda made a light joke about how Umar was cupcaking through the texts he was sending her but he was defending him.

Also this was around the time Tariq started talking about how we needed to be on code. Matter of fact he started talking about it a few months before this whole thing. But once the whole stripper gate spread all over the net Umar got on youtube and said what he had to say about shorty and then took to facebook and Twitter to rant some more. Tariq happened to tweet reminding people his Code of Conduct tour was kicking off and he would be at the 1st city by the end of the week. The entire tour was already planned way before this. Umar mistook the whole thing thinking Code of Conduct was a shot at him and he replied saying "Oh you want to go on a Code Of Conduct tour huh? Okay I see you". They never spoke publicly since. Umar wasn't on Hidden Colors 3. Tariq linked up with Saneta who Umar had long standing beef with. He also shouted out Polight who Umar also had beef with. Tariq still shouted out Umar every now and then though.
Since it had been a couple of years since they were seen together they both were asked if they were cool with each other and both said they were. Tariq posted a picture with them together.
Jason Black did take some shots at him and other conscious community members stating he only deals with builders and didn't care about debaters or schools.

When Umar and Boyce 1st started beefing Tariq was doing his live show people in the chat were asking how he felt and Tariq quickly said he was neutral because last time he defended someone (Umar) he got attacked but he was cool with both of them.

Thanks for posting this. In a nutshell, Bro Umar’s beef is that Tariq did not inform him that his interview was going to be in “Hidden Colors.” It’s a legitimate gripe but something that could be hashed out by a simple phone call or a face to face meeting. However, when these new school cats got beef with someone, they got to call a forum and do a dozen YouTube vids.
