Yea Alpha G has a GTR package that'll take it to 1500 to the wheel on the first shot. I think their 10 & 11 packages are maybe $5k more but will put you closer to 1800-2000.

Absolutely not. Tuning packages always include transmission and clutch upgrades to handle the added power.

I don't know the going rate for one, but I'm guessing even a high-end GTR is going for $140k? Give or take?

You could pump double, if not triple into that and still be under a third of the cost with a machine that nothing could touch. Talking 2000 hp to the wheel. No real comparison for me.

Personally, I'm still dreaming to do this with a 2JZ.

It's been done time and time again. There are Supra's and Skyline's that are dominating Qatar & Dubai for this very reason.

Then 10x upcharge for the likes of the Bugatti Veyron or the McLaren F1 are simply for its name and status, not necesaarily its performance.

They just made a track version that ran a 6:43. Which, I suppose could be considered a record. But that car had enormous slicks and a honking big rear wing. Not really a production car at all.

It still wouldn't be a McLaren. Just like you could hook up a civic to be faster than a Ferrari but ultimately it wouldn't be a status symbol no matter how fast it goes.
