The Walking Dead: All Seasons (DON'T POST SPOILERS)

Lot of build up and atmosphere this episode.
Some of it worked some of it didn't
Carl. Damn that's unexpected but a good twist.
I'm not mad at much on the finale I just know the two of them who ran that truck into the savior's compound need to go on ahead and hit the trails because they're the reason they're living like ninja turtles now.
Like really they should be killed. Yes, Darryl should be killed for that shit.

Rick gets the bat and says let me hit him with the handle to the jaw while holding the barbwire lolololol

Michonne got her mojo back she's slicing cats up then when daddy comes back turns into a deer
it's all good

So Rick gets his hand on Lucille but instead of bashing Negan brains in he jabs him with the handle:hmm::hmm:

this!! i said the same thing!

seems they both were trying to take each other alive.

Both were thinking a public execution.

:boring: They seriously could have finished this fucking arc by now. Can't believe he used the end of the bat and then ran away instead of just popping him. Rick is such a terrible leader. Those Junkyard hos probably want him dead now.

Can't argue with that. They Trashed Rick's Plan with that Garbage Truck Maneuver.

Ya'll must have been watching it on mute. They explicitly state that wasn't th ereason Neagan's people got out. 2wice.

Problem is there was no need to drive the truck into the building. Could have smoked them out. So many ways to play the situation. Driving the truck through created urgency. The threat of terror could have turned people against each other.

It could or could not have worked either way. Which is what was stated in the episode he drove the truck into the place. In retrospect now that we've seen past it, again they explicitly state that it wouldn't have worked either way. Whether they left them there, or whether they drove the truck into Neagan's, neither plan would have finished the Saviors..

That is never really made clear. They point to Eugene leading them away, but really it's not much of a leap given the sketchy way this war story is being told. Bottom line if they don't put the hole in the fence / wall then attacking the herd is much more difficult. I am sure it will be explored more next season. My bet is that Eugene will bite the dust at some point in the 2nd half of this season or in the 1st half of season 9 based on what he did or didn't do around the Savior's escape. My bet is that he screws the Saviors somehow and pays for it with his life.

It was made clear though. They showed Eugene about to lead the zombies away before they even drove the truck into the building. Dwight stopped him. Actually if you want to be honest, Daryl driving the truck into the building yielded Rick's group more W's than if he never did. After the fact though Eugene still implemented his same plan to lead the zombies away.

‘Walking Dead’ Star’s Father Rips Series After Midseason Finale Death: ‘I Never Trusted Gimple or AMC’

SPOILER ALERT: Do not keep reading if you have not seen the Season 8 midseason finale of “The Walking Dead

The father of a key “Walking Dead” character vented his frustrations with the show and showrunner Scott Gimple on social media following his son’s onscreen death in this Sunday’s midseason finale.

“Watching Gimple fire my son 2 weeks before his 18th birthday after telling him they wanted him for the next 3 years was disappointing,” William Riggs, father of Carl Grimes actor Chandler Riggs, wrote on Facebook. “I never trusted Gimple or AMC but Chandler did. I know how much it hurt him. But we do absolutely know how lucky we have been to be a part of it all and appreciate all the love from fans all these years!”

In the closing moments of the midseason finale, Carl revealed to his father Rick (Andrew Lincoln) that he had been bitten by a walker. He did not die at the end of the episode though, meaning he will get one more episode to say goodbye once the show returns in February.

“That is a bite on his side.… It will play out as bites play out on the show,” Gimple said Sunday on “Talking Dead.” “It’s very important to Carl’s story and the entire story, what happens in the next episode. I’m just focused on the fact that Carl right now is alive and he has some business to attend to. That is a one-way ticket. But I’d like to think that the things we see in the next episode are so important to his life and the other characters’ lives.”

In the wake of Sunday’s fall finale of The Walking Dead, the Nielsens delivered to the AMC drama news that was as almost bad as that which Carl shared with Rick, Michonne and viewers in the episode’s last seconds: According to our sister site Variety, “How It’s Gotta Be” was the series’ lowest-rated midseason finale since Season 2 back in 2011.

The plus-sized installment — in which Negan and the Saviors struck back against the AHK (Alexandria/Hilltop/Kingdom) uprising — averaged a 3.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 7.9 million viewers. That was improvement over the previous week’s season low (a 3.3 rating and an audience of 7.5 million)… but still the worst that a midseason finale had done in six years.

Overall, TWD is having a rough go of it in Season 8. Its premiere — which also marked its 100th episode — was its lowest-rated since Season 3. The first half of Season 8 averaged a 3.9 rating and 8.7 million viewers per episode, down significantly from Season 7 (5.7, 12.1). And you can guess where the show fell on TVLine’s rundown of Fall TV Winners and Losers.

Ratings are low as writing is shit. Does anyone watch this show without doing something else? It's filler shit while doing household chores , checking bgol, making dinner, etc.
I don't even watch on Sunday anymore. Been watching in on Monday after work while cooking dinner. Every episode can be summed up in two sentences.

Until they get rid of this Negan character and make RICK the top dog again ratings are going to continue to be low. I know the comic readers have been waiting a long time for Negan to appear but the show watchers are used to Rick being the "hero" and anytime you try to change that in a show, viewers are going to have a problem with it
