Well my dad is black and my mom is white and they have been married for close to 40 years. They go on trips all the time and live it up together. They started out as best friends ever since they were little kids.

First of all, you can't find a single race on earth where the people of that group ONLY date within their race. I met a Native American chick from Cali who only dated black men. I know of some white men and white women who ONLY date black. Yet, if someone in our race do what EVERYONE else does, we act like they just committed the ultimate sin.
A fact of life is, everybody within a group ain't gon' be wired similarly, and a minority are going to always do something different - sometimes vastly different - from the majority. The majority of black folks date and marry black. The majority of RICH blacks date and marry black(I know because I did the research). That holds true for every race on earth. Most are going to stick with their own.
...as for white folks not being our friends - look, bro - while I do acknowledge that it wouldn't be wise to assume that white folks have no racist views, we're not going to set here and say every white person is some fire-breathing, KKK hood wearing racist.
On of my ex's mother and father had been married for 40 years before he died of cancer, but they got along pretty well from what I could tell, and he wasn't one of those white-washed brothas, either.
Depending on how much black pride you have, if you date outside your race, that is going to determine the type of white person you date. If you have no black pride, then you'll end with some blatantly racist white woman, and don't care when she's talking greasy about your people.
