I've seen MANY times (even with my own brother, who married a Japanese woman) that after you go ahead and get married and HAVE KIDS, an uncontrollable "softening" happens - even with some of the most racist-assed Asian parents - and they often end up coming around and gradually accepting the relationship. I WATCHED it happen with my brother. Once his in-laws held their grandson in their arms and looked into his eyes, THEY WERE HOOKED. Then when his daughter was born... she might as well be queen of the universe - children can have a MAGICAL effect! As long as the rest of your life is basically in order (financial, emotional, educational, etc. - notice I left out RELIGION), the new grandparents will get in step and end up being supportive and engaged.
