More than a few brown people solicited support for the current leader of the United States, Donald Trump. Those efforts, for the most part, were rewarded with a one-way ticket on the ever-growing “cancelled” list. Now two of Black entertainment’s biggest Trump Stans, Tina and Chrisette Michele, are looking to make a comeback with their core fans, and finding out it’s not so easy.
First up, Tina. The Mary Mary singer has come under tremendous scrutiny since copping to voting for Trump “because he’s a Christian.” Bye Tina. Following her convictions has resulted in the singer managing potentially serious financial toll. Campbell recently cut short a tour promoting her new album, It’s Still Personal, due to lackluster sales. She shared the news with fans via Instagram:
“We are grateful for those who were planning to attend but our overall ticket sales haven’t shown that we have the support that we need to continue to tour at this time. We’re convinced that that many more would love the opportunity to attend this praise filled, faith filled, entertaining, worship experience, so we have dcided to give ourselves time to reach all of those people and bring this amazing tour back in the spring of 2018.”

Then there’s Chrisette Michele, who came under fire in January when she decided to perform during Trump’s inauguration for a fee of $250.00 $250K.
