Jay "Mr. Real Estate" Morrison claims discrimination at Houstons in the ATL ( video )

Foh... Its fuckin Houston's at lunch time. Not some white table cloth fine dining establishment. They sound absurd with that bullshit policy. Typically in fast casual spots like that they have a disclosure statement about automatic gratuity for parties 6 and over. A restaurant of that nature flat out refusing parties of over 6 sounds like utter bullshit baked in to give them a pretext to selectively discriminate.

This is all true. But I'm not going to stand around and talk for 30 minutes begging for any restaurant to take my money.

Dont know nothin about this dude but Houston's food is good and i've never had an issue there. Hell half if not the majority of the staff was black anyways.

only a party of 4 but all 7 leave

kick-rocks.jpg

:dunno:

why would I fight with a business to give them my money?

also that hostess with the DSLs looks like she can put in some work

it doesnt matter if they came in as 7. what if 3 people got pulled away and had to leave, they still couldn't get seated? This is ridiculous. the patrons are clearly right.

fay chic should have been slapped.
3 didn't leave
all 7 were there until the end

yeah i know, i'm saying, what if the scenario were different, 7 people showed up and 3, for whatever reason, couldnt stick around. then what?
4 would be eating instead of kicking rocks
when they tried that argument the first thing the hostess said was: but they are still here - no matter you play it you are asking us to split your party - something we do not do

I was surprised to see a black face on the restaurant's side. As soon as that fool said we're going to deny service I would have left and handled it legally. There's no way I would want to eat in that shithole after they handled me like that at the door. Glad you called out the name of the establishment. One less place me and mine will ever go to.

That particular place has a lot of black customers so this may hurt them as it should

can't have it both ways

this cat preaches financial independence and entrepeneurship

but cryin cus a cac restaurant refused to seat him

the answer is obvious and in atl he has zero excuse

And calling himself young malcolm?

Bruh got his ego hurt and would rather waste time with this shit then put a spotlight on black restaurants.

A brother got denied for an air b&b rental on some racism bullshit and created his own air b&b https://www.innclusive.com/

but "young malcolm" wants to boycott. Sounds more like a young John Lewis to me.

I have literally eaten at that Houston's for the last 15 years and have never had any racial issues. I also know how to act a a restaurant, and don't insult or talk crazy to anyone serving me food. I always tell anyone with me on my tab to not act stupid when I am eating at a restaurant. If I feel there is a problem or any issue I simply get up and leave. I won't beg anyone to serve me, especially in Atlanta. I can't vouch for dude on this one. Everything a'int racism, and sometimes your bad attitude can cause an establishment to not want to serve you, which is their right.
