The REAL reason CACS don't want to help Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico exodus underway

The trickle began as soon as flight service was restored between the mainland and Puerto Rico. The trickle is now a stream and growing everyday as Puerto Ricans abandon the island and come to the mainland. It won't be long before that stream becomes a deluge.

The implications for Florida are staggering.

While some of the migration will be to New York City and other major metropolitan areas, the vast majority of migrants are likely to come to and settle down in Florida. Most likely will never return to Puerto Rico.

The biggest destinations in Florida are Miami-Dade County, the Tampa/St. Petersburg greater metropolitan area (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Pasco and Polk Counties) and the Greater Orlando area (Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties).

This could greatly effect Florida politically, pushing it Democrat both at the Statewide and the legislative level. Florida is currently a down the middle purple State, so it is easy to see how thousands of migrants could tip the balance. But they will be settling in areas where they will be tipping a number of individual districts the other way, perhaps enough to give Democrats a good shot at the State Senate and an outside shot at the State House.

The effect will likely be somewhat muted for the 2018 cycle, as these folks have more on their minds to deal with then politics. After that, who knows.

From a economic angle, it will put a strain on the housing markets, with immigration well exceeding new construction. Business will likely benefit from a flood of cheap labor.

It will clearly change the landscape of Florida in many, many ways

Stupid. Cuz if they helped Puerto Rico then they would be more likely to stay in Puerto Rico and not be here turning districts. But white supremacy eats itself from the inside out in its efforts to show cruelty toward colored people.

Nice investment until the next hurricane say, next week? Next year maybe?
So what, should everybody just pack up & never set foot on the island again? Cac's & asians already plotting how they gonna buy up everything. Of course there is fear of a natural disaster but that's why you have certain things set in place, i.e insurance & making sure you cop on the very low.

I can get safer investments here in the mainland. I almost bought a house in St.Croix 2 years ago (where I was born) that area is flattened now. Me and wife both breathed a sigh of relief

I hear you brotha, you dodged a bullet but at the same time vultures are swooping in St. Croix right now and theyre gonna get rich off minimal investment. Too each his own.

Yeah these white folks are nervous these coming Ricans will turn FL from a swing state to Blue. Nice counter balance to these wannabe cac cubans.

Plus

Ricans are my favorite latinas :mike:

de-population is real...people been talking about decreasing the population for yrs well why not start with people of color especially if u have a euro agenda... kill them than take their land we heard about this and ancestors have witness this b4... them islands are bout to become prime real estate and its gonna be cheap..get rid of the natives and take it over..sounds like a bigger version of gentrification... if you want to throw the tin foil hat on for a lil bit ya like talking about haarp, ya talked about 3 straight category 4's , wouldn't a natural disaster be a great way to move the "unwanted"... tin foil hat off

CACS don't look at puerto ricans as americans, Im glad spanish people are getting there ****** wake up call.

It's the same reason why PR will never be granted statehood, it would tip the balance of power towards the Democrats.

Living in the Orlando metro area, there is already a huge PR population here and yes, I've already been hearing of folks leaving the island and relocating.

I do hope, for the island sake that people go back and rebuild and not let CAC buy up all the land and basically gentrify it.

Maria's effect may be felt for generations.

Just to be spiteful, the Donald is only allowing statehood to PR is through being annexed by Florida.

If that's the case, Republicans may want to start drawing up impeachment papers now.

A Democrat hasn't won the Governor's race in FL since the early 90s.

Also, although there are conservatives and progressives on the island, the political parties in Puerto Rico are not strictly aligned with how Conservatives and Liberals lean here on the mainland.

Case in point, the governor, Ricardo Rossello, is the party leader of the PNP (New Progressive Party) of PR and although they are a conservative party, they lean and support statehood. Most Republicans on the mainland do not want PR statehood.

The PPD (Popular Democratic Party) supports continued Commonwealth and the PIP (Pro Independence Party) supports PR Independence.

CaC Republicans in Florida would kill that whole argument through gerrymandering the fuck outta those districts. How do you think PA ended up begin a red state for Trump :(
