Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

  • Game of Thrones introduced the hero(Jamie) and villain(Bran) in episode 1 Season 1 with a twist

it is a bit of a stretch (no pun intended)...I like it tho and it may have some legs...it'd be dope as fuck if it turned out to be the case

It would also require a heavy time travel element and most stories just always start to get a bit outlandish the further they delve into time travel. Its clear they are gonna have more time jumps and Bran interference (see Hodor) but I hope that isnt the reveal we are working towards.

The MOAR I read/watch on the bran/NK theory the more it makes sense.

And if he starts time warging like he did in season 6,to find answers it would be a great way to fill in gaps as to certain storylines and explain why each episode of season 8 will be damn near feature length.

Sadly it will also explain why it may not be ready until 2019 :smh:

Yeah I can believe it. Or maybe Bran in his "past selfs" warged into the man who became the Night King. Because Remember Starks descend from the first men.

That would kind of make Littlefinger a hero.
If he sent the killer to Bran, knowing it was not a little boy he was to kill, but the Night King.
They could also reveal that Littlefinger is of the Brotherhood, and a follower of the Lord of Light.

There is no way Littlefinger would know of the Night Kings lineage. Plus Joffrey sent the killer to Bran.

That's what happened in the books... not on the tv show.
Joffrey was only interested in Sansa.

He didn't care enough about Bran to arm an assassin with a fancy dagger.
On the tv show, Joffrey has no reason at all to send a killer to Bran's room. :smh:

Yeah but what reason would Littlefinger have? Starting the conflict? He could have done that without the dude being caught.

I think Littlefinger sent the Assassin to kill Bran…. long before Jamie pushed him from the tower.

Here's why....

He’s been pitting the Starks against the Lannisters ever since season 1… in order to ‘move up’ in the world during all the confusion. (ie “Chaos is a Ladder”)

It took King Robert a whole month to ride up to Winterfell.

So Littlefinger KNEW that all the Lannisters would be in Kings Landing when King Robert went to ask Ned to become the Hand of the King… But what he did NOT KNOW… is that Bran got injured the day before his Assassin actually arrived in Winterfell.

Hence, the 'timing' of Bran's injury... and the Assassination attempt... was purely a coincidence.

The King is in town.... For several days... and he hasn't been to Winterfell in almost a DECADE... so that's a VERY BIG OCCASION.

So you could imagine that many people from the other smaller towns in the area would come to Winterfell to ‘pay their respects’, or attend the big feast. Or do both.

Therefore, an Assassin could easily slip into town… kill someone quickly (i.e. slit a throat)… then slip back out again, (practically unnoticed) amongst all the ‘random visitors’ who might be coming & going at the gates.

Let’s look at Littlefinger’s history with the Starks…

- He convinced Lisa Arryn (Cat’s sister) to poison Jon Arryn (The Hand of the King) and made her write the Letter to Cat, telling her that the Lannister’s killed him.

- But the MAJOR CLUE that Littlefinger sent the Assassin is… after the Assassination attempt… listen carefully to what he says in the clip below… Littlefinger LIED to Cat and told her that he lost his dagger to Tyrion over a bet, on Prince Joffrey’s birthday.

Littlefinger said he BET on ‘Sir Jaime’ (Lannister) in a jousting tournament.
And that Tyrion BET on Loras Tyrell… TO BEAT JAIME. o_O

“I bet on Sir Jaime… as any sane man would…. (but) when The Knight of the Flowers (i.e. Loras Tyrell) unseated him… I lost this dagger… to Tyrion Lannister”.

C’mon Baelish.

First off, Tyrion would never bet AGAINST his own brother Jaime. :smh: In ANY type of COMBAT SCENARIO. :smh:

But he damn sure would NEVER pick Loras Tyrell (of all people ) to beat Jaime in ANYTHING that involves WEAPONS. o_O

But there’s more…

- In season 3 episode 4, Varys made a pact with Lady Olenna to marry Sansa to Loras Tyrell.

- In season 3 episode 6, Littlefinger admits to Varys that he ruined his plan to marry Sansa to Loras Tyrell.

Listen at the 0:53 mark he says: “When I thwarted your plan to give Sansa Stark to the Tyrells… i felt an unmistakable sense of enjoyment”

- Littlefinger conspires against Robb Stark.

- Littlefinger betrays Ned Stark.

Wait a sec, let’s recap…
  1. Littlefinger conspired against Robb Stark.
  2. Littlefinger betrayed Ned…. And got him killed.
  3. Littlefinger killed Cat’s sister & her brother-in-law
  4. Littlefinger ruined Sansa’s marriage to Loras Tyrell.
  5. Littlefinger convinced Sansa to marry Ramsey Bolton.
(This list is longer than the list of 'bad stuff' the Lannisters have done to the Starks. Just saying.)

Now let’s backtrack…

With Cat Stark sitting at Bran’s bedside almost 24/7… (and other people like Robb Stark & Old Nan ‘taking turns’ keeping him company when Cat isn’t around) a person would have to be ‘crazy as hell’ to try to kill Bran when he has someone with him all day & all night long. Literally.

Unless the person DID NOT KNOW that someone would be there with him all day & night, that is.

And the only person who would NOT know that someone is in the room with Bran constantly… is someone who IS NOT THERE in Winterfell… at all.

Remember, he killed Joffrey WITHOUT even being in Kings Landing when it happened.

He established this method early… because he probably tried to kill Bran WITHOUT being in Winterfell also.

In fact, Littlefinger is trying to kill off the entire Stark Family. One by One.

Because he had promised that Sansa would rule the North.

His very last words in this clip are: “The North will be Yours”

And this prolly still sticks in Sansa’s mind.... to this very day.

Pure speculation based on the conversation of Bran being the Night King.
But Night Kings lineage, indeed who would know who his mother and father are???
