People forget that wrestling was not PC until a little over 10 years ago. 30 years ago racism was another tool in the Heels tool box . Racial stereotypes were rampant. I remember Classy Fred Vlassie making watermelon jokes in references to Tony Atlas back in the 70s. I aslo remeber George Steel with Fred Vlassie doing promo and he says "Atlas George". Steele rocks back and forth fighting to get the words out then shouts "Blaaaaaaack!".
Let me tell you if it was like the old days now you would have a wrestling stable mimicking Isis. Running to ringside screaming Allah Akbar. They would have at least Kayfabe blown up one wrestler. Probably John Cena.

Flair threatened to have him firedand started the conversation with this statement, "n$&@er do you like working here". Teddy said whatever he was doing no one thought was a big deal and said flair just had it out for him for some unexplained reason.

Other rednecky wrestlers include Stan Hansen and the Funk brothers(Dory and Terry). Dick Slater was rednecky as hell also. I hated Dick Slater's program with Butch Reed. Slater had a black valet named Dark Journey. There was also another wrestler named Killer Karl Kox. His initials are KKK.
I met Flair at a bar in Myrtle Beach. Sat right next to him he treated me with respect bought all my drinks and ordered me food.
