Kyrie Irving requesting trade out of Cleveland to find bigger role

If his ass don't answer I'd have him in BK or Sactown....for a complementary player and 5 draft picks that's protected
Yep. Thats exactly where i would send his ass. Give him what he want and bury his bitch ass out west.. Sac gotta bunch of young talent too so they would get some decent bodies back. They will also be a lottery team so future picks would be valuable as well.

Doubt it. We letting Russell take the wheel and putting shooters around him. Our offense is predicated on ball movement. Kyrie is the antithesis of that. He'll work well in Manhattan.

Bro you been 100 for ass I've seen, don't start been foolish today.
If I was you I'd never doubt talk front office after the way they let Danny Angie fleeced them......I'm just saying

Not the same front office tho. You do realize that tho. New everything.

Sixers fan can vouch for Billy King's Gm ability or lack of it

He wasn't going to have it because the fucking roster was completely trash
Period
Bron came and got rid of all those bum ass niggas kyrie was supposed to win with

Something else Kyrie should be thankful for.

How much did you watch Kyrie early on? Was he playing a winning style of basketball?

To me he wasnt.

His game was already beautiful but if he wasnt scoring he was invisible.

What is the Cavs record the last 4 years when Kyrie is playing and LeBron isnt?

So this coon drops a "supposed" quote...

from an unnamed source

SAS is MAD that Lebron said he NEVER threatened to "beat Kyrie ass"

SAS this is why you got FIRED in Philly

Lebron has a RIGHT to respond in kind

cause he DID NOT say that

but you REPORTED it as such.

And NONE of you co-workers (who were quick to name)

reported or co signed it.

That tells you something.

Sometimes you need something call wisdom decorum and class.

Look it up

Cause saying a BLACK MAN gonna kick ANOTHER Black man's ass is NOT responsible

Cause this long as speech you giving NOW?

you aint say all that BEFORE...

just like when you attacked KD and Johnathon Vilma.

He'll go after black men,but won't go after his white colleague that twisted his word,a few years ago...:rolleyes2:

Not only, his white colleague twisted his word,ESPN made him do a prerecorded apology before the show...humiliating him for the world to see.

Yea he was...he's last two been his healthiest...done know if things changed in Phoenix but I'd be trying to go there...

yup

and let me say this all his "colleagues" aint exactly supporting him

either is ESPN

cause even these white folk think CLAIMING a player made a physical threat

is no laughing matter.

notice Woj and Winhorst keep stressing you NEED 3 confirmed sources

and to show you ALL these sports dude just talking out they ass?

Pablo on 1st take claimed Lebron made calls to the Suns about Josh Jackson...

and then ESPN ran a story that it wasn't true.

so a media conglomerate had one of its future headliners make a statement and then a few hours later completely go the opposite way and essentially discredit him

OK...

sports journalism is a real thing or isn't it?

No wonder SAS talking all this bullsh*t and STILL getting paid.

Whoa....I think the earth would collapse on itself, fam

I want this saved on the record...

What they gonna say IF Lebron wins a chip WITHOUT Kyrie?

And Kyrie NEVER wins another ring?

Same thing they said when he won a ring without Wade, Bosh, and Allen who never saw another Finals again. That he needs to prove himself, he's an underachiever, he only got 3 rings.

Yep!

Remember when it was "Why he going back there? He will NEVER win in Cleveland.. If he do the discussion is over its him and Mike!".

Narrative changed once he won in Cleveland.

Would have been nice to see him say take some younger Dudes and invite them to his camp, help them work on their games, show them some nuances, wisdom on how to adjust to the NBA life, etc, or maybe even some rookies or college players but hey.... The humanitarian thing to do is take established All Star millionaires and hang out with them... Wonderful human being, the gift that keeps on giving...

Not really, the narrative changed when the passive aggressive SOS call during an interview was placed to Adam Silv.... Never mind... :D

An update on the Kyrie Irving situation, as Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and GM Koby Altman say ‘things are fluid’

MIAMI — If the Cavaliers are indeed planning to trade point guard Kyrie Irving, they won’t admit it publicly.

In a Wednesday press conference scheduled to introduce new general manager Koby Altman, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and Altman declined to answer a direct question of whether they plan to trade Irving. Altman even referred to Irving as “a core piece of who we are and what we do,” as they sidestepped questions regarding a possible trade.

News surfaced Friday that Irving, 25, asked the Cavaliers to trade him because he wants “to play in a situation where he can be more of a focal point and that he no longer wants to play alongside LeBron James,” according to ESPN. The Heat are reportedly on Irving’s list of preferred landing spots, along with the Knicks, Spurs and Timberwolves.

Bovada.lv, an offshore gambling website, has the Heat with the eighth-best odds to land Irving. Miami is listed at 20-to-1 odds to have Irving on its roster for the first game of the 2017-18 season.

“There were several scenarios discussed at that time,” Gilbert said during the press conference of his recent meeting with Irving. “I don’t feel it’s appropriate to really get into the details of all those scenarios. So, again I don’t know the sources of the report that there was a trade request made. … These things are fluid. We think that Kyrie Irving is one of the best guards in the NBA. He was part of a championship and three years straight to the Finals. We value his talent significantly.”

Altman had a similar response to a question regarding Irving’s future in Cleveland.

“We’ve had dialogue with [Irving’s] representation,” Altman said. “It’s a fluid situation and something that we’re just not going to address right now.”

Irving is set to make $18.9 million next season and has three years left on his deal, but he can opt out of the final year before the 2019-20 season. Although he can’t dictate where he’s traded because his contract does not include a no-trade clause, Irving can use his list of four preferred teams to control the situation by scaring away teams not on his list by telling them he will leave in two years as soon as his contract allows.

But Cleveland tried to take some of the leverage back Wednesday, as Altman and Gilbert refused to commit to trading Irving and spoke about the four-time All-Star in the present tense. Gilbert even compared Irving’s situation to when Kobe Bryant requested a trade from the Lakers in 2007 but ended up staying with the franchise for his entire career.

“Right now, Kyrie Irving is under contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the next two or three years, depending on the last year,” Gilbert said when asked if he expects Irving to be with Cleveland at the start of training camp. “So as of now, he’s one of our best players. Sure, we expect him to be in camp.”

While there has been external discussion about the Heat trading for Irving since they are on his list of preferred destinations, there has been no indication whether Miami is actually interested in dealing for the disgruntled four-time All-Star.

But ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne believes the Heat will end up with Irving. ESPN polled its panel of five reporters on the Irving situation and one of the questions asked was, “Where will Kyrie Irving play in 2017-18?”

“Miami,” Shelburne answered. “The team that gets Kyrie is going to have to be OK with giving up a lot of young assets for a player who could leave in two years. So the four teams on his list have an advantage in knowing he’d be likely to stay there beyond his current contract. Minnesota can probably offer the most, but it’s hard to see the Wolves parting with Andrew Wiggins, given coach Tom Thibodeau’s valuation of defense. The Heat are dying for a young star, and Pat Riley and Andy Elisburg are both creative and bold enough to find a way to get this deal done. I think the Cavs will be worse after dealing Irving, because right now there’s no real leverage for Cleveland to push for multiple picks or young players.”

Shelburne was the only one of the five reporters to pick the Heat. Two of them chose the Suns, as Phoenix can offer guard Eric Bledsoe in a deal.

The list of assets the Heat can offer the Cavaliers to bring Irving to Miami is limited.

Free agents signed this summer can’t be traded until Dec. 15 at the earliest. So the Heat can’t include James Johnson, Dion Waiters, Kelly Olynyk, Udonis Haslem, Matt Williams or Derrick Walton Jr. in an offseason deal for Irving.

In addition, draft picks become eligible to be traded 30 days after signing. First-round pick Bam Adebayo signed his contract with the Heat on July 1, which means he’s off the table for now, too.

This leaves Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside, Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson, Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington, Rodney McGruder, Okaro White and A.J. Hammons as the only Heat players who can be traded right now. All of this means that a trade package to land Irving would likely need to be centered around Dragic or Whiteside.

As far as draft picks, the Heat don’t have much to trade in that department. Miami doesn’t own both of its picks in a draft until 2022.

NBA Rumors: Kyrie Irving ‘Very Badly’ Wants To Be A New York Knick

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports
The NBA offseason is beginning to wind down as most teams have filled out their rosters. However, just when things were beginning to get quiet the NBA world was shocked when word came down that Kyrie Irving had requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The news was completely unexpected as Irving and the Cavaliers had made three straight NBA Finals, winning one championship, and were widely viewed as the favorite to win the Eastern Conference again. Nonetheless, Irving reportedly would prefer to land with one of four teams: San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, or New York Knicks.

While it was originally believed that Irving’s top landing spot was the Spurs, ESPN’s Pablo Torre says that Irving would actually prefer to go home to New York (transcription via Pro Basketball Talk):

“I got a phone call, and the voice on the other end of that phone call is a trustworthy person. And he was saying to me that Kyrie Irving very badly wants to be a New York Knick. Kyrie Irving wants to come home.”

Players wanting to play for their hometown team is nothing new. In fact, the Los Angeles Lakers are holding out hope on that belief leading Paul George to choose the purple and gold next summer.

A deal to the Knicks would likely have to center around Carmelo Anthony, who would have to waive his no-trade clause for it. Irving and Kristaps Porzingis would give the Knicks a great core to build around. Unfortunately for Irving he has no leverage to choose where he wants to go.

Irving doesn’t have a no-trade clause so the Cavaliers can send him to whoever gives them the best return. One team who has been mentioned multiple times is the Phoenix Suns. LeBron James is very familiar with Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe, who is represented by James’ agency Klutch Sports, and the two workout together every summer.

It remains to be seen where Irving will land, but a trade anywhere will alter the NBA landscape.
