Planet of the Apes poster features ape with vest similar to DeRay Mckesson

It's easy to understand the underlying message in this movie as soon as you see the part with Woody Harrelson explaining to Caesar that they had to exterminate the apes because they (the apes) would eventually overtake them, it's the law of nature. I'm paraphrasing that statement, but you get the gist of it, and I'm sure you've heard similar statements made about us. Look up 'The Browning of America'. Between interracial romance and the UV rays of the sun, they really don't stand a chance. Even SNL made a skit about their being no white people left by 2050 or something like that. They didn't write that into the script and have those various images for no reason at all. Some may feel it's reaching, but the title 'Planet of the Apes' itself has always been a bit of a knock. Think about it.
Man if folks still question that after your post I don't know what to say

This new Planet of Apes series is prior to the originals series. The Apes win the war and enslave white people. And y'all think they are portraying blacks as the Apes?

It reminds me of Dr. Francis Cress Welsing's similar title, "Fear of a Black Planet".

I'm glad I'm not the only one sounding crazy lol.

There's definitely a strong correlation between the plight of the Apes and the plight of black peoples worldwide.

Naw my G, I'm happily sounding crazy right along with you.

You'd be surprised fam. I mean really and truly surprised, at the depth level of ignorance amongst our people. Notice the root word ignore within ignorant. Ignorance is defined as a "lack of knowledge", but the root word further explains it as a "choice to lack said knowledge". This is why the insult and disrespect us to our faces. If you watch movies and notice when they choose to bleep out the word "******" you see a key as to the way things work. If Boyz in the Hood or Menace comes on TV, that word will be bleeped out. But if Roots comes on, you'll hear it with such brazen callousness that it has to have an effect. If the word is bleeped out because it's offensive, then it should be done so 100% of the time. The fact that it isn't lets you know that it was never done because it was deemed offensive, rather it scares the absolute ever loving f*ck outta white people when we say it.

If you look at what I have written in my sig, you see even further into how we're just persistently blind with intention to be so. Of course it's all mainly explained away as people being crazy or forgetful, but when something changes from one day to the next, and thousands of people are seeing/hearing the same thing, it's more than false memories. There's so much more going on in the world than just the obvious fuqery. But as it's reported, a day will come when 100% of news reported on TV will be fake, but will still be believed by the viewer. Once that day comes we're in major trouble. There's no elaboration as to what's supposed to happen, but with all that is happening, nothing s too far a stretch of the imagination. We're really in trouble anyway. Just look at what all we allow to transpire. Pay attention.

Reaching....Really really reaching.
THIS.......and posts like this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not even gonna read anymore replies and just rest in the fact that at least comment101....has common sense !!!
There are always those that are looking for conspiracy theories and while there are some sometimes....they will ALWAYS MAKE MORE !!!!! :hmm:

Yea bro I like what you're typing, I'm keep in touch with

Even Deray responded:

lol hook line and sinker...they've gotten him to publicly reinforce the stereotype (and therein lies the real joke for cacs IF this was intentional)

@ best they'll issue the standard statement about not meaning to offend anyone but apologize if anyone found it offensive

after that nothing will happen...the show will go on...the trailer is pretty underwhelming tho...wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do as well as folks expect

Man what in all the heck is going on here... this new series has clearly been an allegory to the Struggles that black people have endured.. where people just saw us as a thing... until we rose up. That was the obvious premise of the first movie of the reboot. The second movie was a better example... because it showed an ape that was beaten down in captivity and was no longer willing to sit back and be nice with his oppressors.

The original film had the similar theme except it was flipped and the Apes/blacks were the cruel dictators of the world. Basically.. what happens when black people take over.

This movie has shown the Apes as being the intellectuals while humanity is cruel and phobic... why shouldn't the film show a correlation to the black lives movement...
I mean everyone knows the Apes win this war...

If you want to get upset go rewatch the first movie and look at the skin color of everyone that was a slave and the skin colar of the apes and then look how evil the apes were portrayed except for the like skinned one.

This is a reach to me. We've got to let some things go.

I hear what you're saying about the apes being the good guys but I still don't want to see black people compared to monkeys :smh:. Some things should just never be ok imo.

Fam - I never said anything was OK. I get what the OP was saying. I'm saying sometimes black people are too damn sensitive and we be looking for smoke where there aint no fire. It almost invalidates the real times when some racist shit is happening because some nigga always pointing his finger at ANY kind of conceivable race baiting that he can see. I get it. Sometimes the shit is on point, sometimes it makes us look stupid. And weak. And petty.

There are APES in these films that are based on real life people and historical figures in war that WERE NOT BLACK. I'm not saying whitey hasn't compared us to monkeys before but THIS is clearly a different case of switcheroo where the ape has bested man and takes over!

CAESER IS THE PROTAGONIST HERE.

Easily comparable to Khan, Zulu, and the guerrilla warfare tactics of The Patriots in the American Revolution. This is easily on par with Avatar or Dances with Wolves or even Return of the Jedi or Last of The Mohicans or any of those old flicks where the "lesser" being actually wins. Only difference here being that there aint no lone white savior.

And that is what we need - to erase the great white savior.

This is a prime example why we aren't taken seriously. This is the epitome of niggas reaching.

I'll say that it's you niggas who are racist. That black man doesn't look like an ape tocme but somehow on this so called black board you niggas see a comparison of this man and a fucking chimp. Smh.

Your right we don't look like apes but, white people think we do.

:hmm: Black people cannot be racist.
Ok, I wish someone would've told me that today is the "say the dumbest shit you can think of" day.

I wish people would understand this.....

Its still problematic even if its just a coincidence.

I guarantee they went though all their designs and set pieces to make sure there was nothing that could be confused with a Star of David or a swastika.

And if something were confused, they would issue an apology

Peace,

The blue vest. It's far too obvious. So is the "The only good monkey is a dead monkey" shit. They're transitioning from suggestive to explicit.

Whoa! :smh:

Movies are scripted so they are well planned and thought out. That mean's what you feel and about the images you see is intentional and done to elicit emotion either anger, fear, happiness or sadness.

The script writers know exactly who they were reaching to portray with this and the POP toy makes it that much more obvious. :smh:

This was done to drive controversy and attention for the film at the expense of our humanity. They want us to come out and make the comparison to bro Deray so we can indirectly admit we are the apes.

Co-Sign. That word wasn't designed for us.

I'm so confused. Not sure what stance you're on...

Do black people have a system in place to disenfranchise, deprived or kill white people without impunity?

Yes or No because Racism is White Supremacy.

This. Racism is oppression of a race. We are in no position to be oppressive against anyone. Jeanyus makes a case against reaching and he might be right but then says we are saying dumb shit and we are actually racists.

This is part, an example of what confuses people now that don't understand context. Black niggas and white ones too.

There's a lot of truth to this. The original POTA films had humans adopting the oppressed role. These recent films have reversed that.

Negro please..expand your brain! Everything isn't white and black.. There are plenty of other non white people to hate. Fuck the white supremacy system. I'm racist against Indians, Dominicans, and pretty much everyone else.

You guys somehow believe that there are only black and white people on earth. Blacks can be racist... we can hate Chinese, Indians, anyone.. so please, stop wasting my time with foolishness
