NBA offseason 2016-2017...NBA offseason best in sports....This offseason is lit to the 3rd degree!!

Yes, I've seen Ball play, he played at UCLA, dummy. And I've seen Porter? Have you?

Lavine is in the last year of his deal. So either he's gone or he gets a big contract. He isn't close to being as good as Jimmy Butler though, so you lost.

You traded a player with a good contract according to todays terms making 19 a year. You traded him for the opportunity to pay another player probably that same thing. Only one player is all NBA.

And you would have to be one of the worst teams in the league to get Porter, as if that's a good thing. :smh:
Ricky Rubio at best

Dam.

I could be slightly off but Harden got a 4 year 169 million dollar extension. Wall was offered 4 year 168.

Can't blame GM's, the sport is more popular and more money is coming in.

Yep. It is dumb to use 1990s salaries as benchmarks. Minimum wage was $4.25 in 1995-- It's only $7.25 today because it hasn't gone up for 10 damn years but there's a fight for 15 today and nobody could imagine a sub-$5 minimum wage today. 2017 dollars are simply different from Jordan era money.

Think about it, Otto is making more in the next few years than Air made his entire career....
Man you don't even have to go that far back. Otto is currently the highest paid player on his team!!! That will be problematic in that locker room. Especially with John Wall pocket watching ass.
Agreed

Wall is that you? Nigga still mad at that "Reggie Jackson" contract :roflmao:
Exactly. Wall is a fucking hater . Always complaining about other niggas deals and endorsements.

Report: Jamal Crawford is the Cavs’ to lose

The 2017 NBA offseason has been fairly quiet for the Eastern Conference championCleveland Cavaliers, although they did manage to make a few moves, including the re-signing of sharpshooter Kyle Korver and the additions of two new faces in Jose Calderon and Jeff Green.

As most fans of the team know, the Cavs are keeping an eye on veteran guard Jamal Crawford, who was traded by the L.A. Clippers a few days ago, reached a buyout agreement with the Atlanta Hawks earlier today. That makes the three-time Sixth Man of the Year award winner a free agent, and the two sides reportedly have mutual interest. In fact, Joe Vardon of cleveland.com recently reported that Crawford spoke with Cavs superstar LeBron James, telling him that he would be “very interested” in joining the team. Now that he has reached a buyout, it seems Crawford is ‘Cleveland’s to lose,’ as Vardon writes in his article.

The Cavs, who are now labeled as repeat offenders for being over the salary and luxury cap in consecutive seasons, have but limited funds to offer Crawford for his services. Cleveland does have one mid-level trade exception at their disposal, which is valued at $5.2 million, but would Crawford accept that amount to play for the wine and gold? Perhaps… Sources tell Vardon that he would — if the Cavs offer the full amount. However, there are several other teams hot on his trail, including the Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves, as well as Los Angeles Lakers, and the Cavs originally planned to use part of their mid-level exception to pay their rookieCedi Osman. If Crawford takes up the entire MLE, it complicates Osman’s move to the Cavs.

In his career-high 82 regular season games with the LA Clippers last season, Crawford averaged 12.3 points (41% field, 36% from beyond the arc), 2.6 assists, and 1.6 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game. While it’s true he isn’t the greatest defender, there is no doubt he would be a fine addition to any team’s rotation.

Jamal Crawford has agreed to sign a two-year, $8.9 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves once he clears waivers.

The second-year of Crawford's deal with the Wolves will be a player option.

Crawford was released by the Atlanta Hawks following his trade by the Los Angeles Clippers.

Crawford has played 17 seasons in the NBA.

Bruh... You're better and more creative than that. I'm really gonna need you to pick up your creativity between now and the season Fam. You alright?
Wack ass passive aggressive shit ain't gone work. Embiid ain't played one full season yet and cannot stay healthy. He is another Greg Oden. Simmons probably will be another tall Rondo who can't shoot. Looks like yall will be tanking again

Poor little fella will wave the flag til December then hop right back on Steph Currys dick. Part time Warriors bandwagoner.

He was already salty ass fuck because Lonzo was getting talked about more. Yep by December when Philly is about 5-24 he will call it a season and post trust the process:lol:

He rooting against Lonzo cuz he in my sig. His sports opinions are based on me PERIOD. If I put Steph in my sig he'd troll the Warriors. If I put Fultz in my sig he'd be hyping Ball. He waits to see what I say then tries to troll it. Either way by seasons end he's gonna be on a dude from Charlottes dick. Either me or Steph, take your pick.

He showed he ain't a max player though lol
Man everybody a max player at this point. I agree with you tho.. No way i tie up that much cap space for a midget who cant play D and whose team plays better without him.

Wow. At this point y'all really don't like this dude because Thomas is a baller. Yeah he's a defensive liability but so is Curry and Curry is actually tall enough to match with the bigger PG's in the league.

Offense sells tickets, gets big contacts. Harden doesn't play any D. Melo never played D. IT's biggest problem is his defense. Not a lot of players actually play real defense anymore anyway. His height doesn't mean shit because clearly he bust folks ass every night. 28.9 a game at 5'8? Come on bruh. Stop it. He's a lot better than all these other players getting max contracts.

Sixers’ Joel Embiid Fined After Instagram Live Words For LaVar Ball

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, known for being the social media king in the NBA, was fined $10,000 by the league for using using language on social media that it deemed on Saturday to be “inappropriate.”

The fine handed down by NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Kiki VanDeWeghe came following an Instagram Live stream from Embiid on July 4 that included him cussing regarding LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.

Embiid has been engaged in a war of words with the elder Ball since tweeting this on draft night.

LaVar Ball responded in a radio interview, noting how given the losing and injury history that the 76ers players had experienced that they should get off Twitter and get in the gym. The 76ers had traded up in the draft to select Markelle Fultz with the top overall pick, and Lonzo Ball was drafted second overall by the Lakers.

Embiid seemed to acknowledge the fine on Twitter.

For LaVar Ball, content coming out of his family might soon be found on Facebook, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Quick analysis: Green a nice get for Cavaliers

Jeff Green should be a nice acquisition for the Cavaliers.

JULY 8, 2017
Sam Amico
Jeff Green is coming to the Cleveland Cavaliers for thebargain-basement rate of $2.3 million. That makes him a low-risk proposition. And if he pans out … well, you guessed it. He will be high-reward.

Green is coming off a season in which he averaged career-lows of 9.2 points and 3.1 rebounds with the Orlando Magic. But that’s OK. Imagine if he can compile those numbers off the Cavs’ bench. That is actually more than the Cavs are expecting from Green.

What they are actually hoping is that Green can give LeBron Jamesa real breather during the marathon of a regular season. LeBron is clearly hoping that too, as according to ESPN, LeBron played a big role in landing Green.

Green is 6-foot-9 and 30 years old. It will be nice for the Cavs to have a forward coming off the bench who’s not debating retirement every summer.

Of course, Green’s presence doesn’t necessarily mean the end ofRichard Jefferson, nor should it. Jefferson is still very good in small doses. And the two can certainly play alongside each other in this era of small-and-smaller ball.

But Green gives the Cavs options, a player who remains a borderline starter and who should make a top-notch reserve. The Cavs can also continue to shop Iman Shumpertand Channing Frye (and perhaps Jefferson) without feeling desperate. Green is the type of player they hoped to get in return for any of those guys.

Is Green the final answer to the Cavs’ summer?

No, of course not.

But he is a nice find and a good start to what the Cavs hope is an offseason makeover for the bench.
