NBA offseason 2016-2017...NBA offseason best in sports....This offseason is lit to the 3rd degree!!

 Low-key........Hayward did a poor man's Durant.

He left Utah a contender who had peaked in the West......and went and ran to the 2nd best team in the East who had the best record in the East last year.......but we not gonna call him a bitch or nothing like we did Durant though.

And for the record Hayward made the right move........just funny how shit works. Haven't heard a peep about Hayward being a bitch though.

Hayward is proof Durant is a bitch.

Lets say that last year, GS replaces Barnes with Hayward, they would still be massive favorites to win this year.

Might be in 6 games instead of 5.

So Durant's overall impact is winning one more game in the finals, despite having top ten ATG talent.

Thats why his move sucked so much.

I think this the most non publicized thing folks don't know. It been stated here a few times, I've even addressed it during last free agency but it steady get over looked.

Again team have to spend a high percentage of the cap(I think it 80% but that seems low).

Yeah I forget the exact number I know the NFL was as high or even higher than that......NFL has it to where teams spending bank on kickers to get to that cap space.......

which it makes sense.....if the NBA had its way....these niggas would spend NO MONEY because they know they gonna generate money and the less they spend the more they would make.

But trust these teams don't want to spend 100 million on Otto Porter or Tristan Thompson.....they have no choice. This is the market and this is way the cap is structured .

Nigga wouldn't even make the Allstate game in the west

SF's is loaded

You saw he ran out East......he trying to do what Lebron do.....stay out East and stay away from the West.

Did you watch them niggas? The 4th quarter came and they literally sat back and watch Durant play.

And I'm not arguing whether or not Durant made a bitch move. My point is lets be consistent. Hayward just did the exact same shit that Lebron and Durant did but i'm not hearing a peep from no one.

It was a great move for him lol.
And why are we mentioning Hayward and Durant.
For all the talent in the world the warriors have we still only had 1 guy who could get their own shot any time. 1 guy. You need 2.
When Utah needed a shot in this post season they didn't go to Hayward they went to Joe Johnson. Hayward wouldn't have been as impactful as needed.

Wiz don't care. Nobody going out of their way o go to the Wiz....to be honest....I wouldn't even care about free agency. Sign your guys because ain't nobody coming to your team if they haven't told you yet. Dudes gonna fuck their roster up trying to hold out for Durant or Lebron to come to their team.....I think teams finally have given up on that.....well except the Lakers but shit they deserve whatever comes their way.

New NBA tho fam. Players will travel to any city as long as their's other nice players there. You can't tell me another star wouldn't come to DC if you can play with Wall and Beal. PG13 may not come but Boogie is a UFA next season. If I'm DC, I'm atleast keeping the cap open to see if I can land atleast one.

And this is what our new GM does. He fucks up opposing teams caps. Did it with Portland and Miami last year and is doing it with Wiz this season. Sleazy but effective.

No they didn't.

They just ran plays for both of their stars instead of having to rely on 1 person to get it done. And in those 4th quarters it was pick and roll with durant and curry with each taking turns being the one setting the pick. it just happened no need to try and rewrite some shit we just saw a month ago.

Yup exactly I'm feed you crumbs while I make bank

Ok but how do you get nice players on your team to begin with? You have to draft lol......there ain't no "clear cap space and sign superstar free agents" type shit going on. That shit happened with the Heat and that was it.

And naw nobody going to DC man.....just not happening. They'll go to California or Miami or some shit but dudes not going to the Wiz and Wiz can't even afford Cousins....Boogie is about to get more than what Porter just got.

His market will be interesting......its gonna be over 100 mill though.

Yup exactly I'm feed you crumbs while I make bank

Yep....these owners would exploit the fuck out of the system.

No they didn't.

Naw man I seen that shit with my own two eyes.....all they did was pick and roll or ISO for Durant in those 4th quarters. Offensively, Curry, Thompson and Green didn't have to do shit. I know you a fan but let's call it what it was. Durant made their lives easier and put his shit on the line when it came to making big shots. Had he missed those shots he would've been destroyed but he didn't.

Since when do Gms get credit cause THE PLAYER choose them.

He was Boston bound the minute Stevens became coach.

Gms are trash if u can't mak moves

I heard ainge hasn't marc Gasol up his sleeve

Yup.. and they arent that smart either. They continue to put all these bullshit ceilings and caps in order to control players movements and income. But it ALWAYS backfires. Thats what happens when you are run by entitled incompetent clowns who insist on trying to rig the game instead of working at their craft .

And they're the ones who outbid for each other. They're the ones saying well we gonna pay mike conley 153m or lowry who don't show up 100m. or reggie jackson 80m or something ridiculous.

if you been on the job for 3 years and have 100m to manage and you haven't made the playoffs you should be fired PERIOD. then once you make the playoffs you gotta advance the object is to go forward not stay the same or go backwards
Ainge got a lot of work to do; roster is very redundant and still it's behind Cavs; their young players all play the same position; i don't see how they developed like that; not enough playing time to go around; I'm not sure why they felt the need to get Gordon; ainge should call the clips and see if DJ is available......

I hear you.

I just think people realize that Hayward isnt worth the "outrage" so to speak. Even in Utah Im sure fans are like oh well... Bye.

They needed a scorer.....and they don't have one outside of IT.....Avery Bradley and Crowder just aren't consistent scoring options.....

It was the right move. Those rookies and young players they got....they not gonna be ready yet. Celtics are rebuilding and contending at the same time right now....Hayward was so they can contend right now.....

Well sometime folks feel like they have to add to improve...

Haywood probably goes to Boston with Danny courting him...

That like Les Miles got credit for recruiting classes yearly when truth be told. Kids in da boot first love is going to LSU, the coach only helps but really is secondary.

 Probably.

I don't know about Utah though...Utah had promise. Hayward was their best player.....that move is gonna set them back....unless some of these guys finally step up and they have a few guys who should be showing some of that promise by now.

Wouldn't shock me at all if the Jazz make the playoffs next year even without Hayward.

Of course when i say it sucked Im talking about from a fan's point of view.

For Durant, GS and their fans, it was the best move.

Ill just mention something right quick. I made the argument on this board that Draymond CANNOT create his own shot 30 feet from the basket. GS fans all attacked me. Im waiting to see if they attack you too.

He was their best player and deserving all star but Im sure they all realized they were going nowhere with him as the best player.

On the other hand, it is true that they cant attract free agents. Developing their draft picks is the only way they can get to the top. So yeah for sure losing one of your own has to hurt.

OH naw to my knowledge Jazz wanted him back. He just didn't want to go back. Fans burning his jersey and calling him Gordon Coward. His fans giving him that Durant treatment.

Kinda like you didn't read what I wrote. I said it was pick and roll with curry and durant in the 4th quarter.
Both of them did their thing. Thompson and Green you're absolutely correct they didn't have to do anything offensively just defensively

They didn't play Brown enough he was the only person on the team other than IT that could get his own shot.

during the season people were saying draymond was getting exposed defensively... the dpoy lol
when i said the worst thing is when draymond is scoring points people said i was tripping. that's not his role on this team. so when he as 36 points that means something went terribly wrong.

Ok but how do you get nice players on your team to begin with? You have to draft lol......there ain't no "clear cap space and sign superstar free agents" type shit going on. That shit happened with the Heat and that was it.

Boston didn't draft any of their stars tho. Traded for Thomas and signed Hortford and Hayward. None of their draft picks have become stars yet (Bradley is good and Tatum may end up being an All star tho) so the clearing caps and signing is still a thing.

Don't sleep on players coming to DC

Well first of all it's Gordon Hayward.

Nice player but he isn't a superstar

He wasn't leading Utah anywhere but a second round type of team

We all saw this move coming anyway

Man who is Al Hortford and Hayward? They aren't stars. I mean maybe all stars out East but I'm talking about the Lebron's and Durant's and the Paul George's. Guys of Haywards and Hortfords caliber are always out there......but teams can't be clearing cap space for guys like that? I hope not.

I'm just going based off history......and these teams like Dallas, the Nets, Wiz....clear all the space you want but these dudes not coming there.

Its such a luck of the draw........you just have to hope one day a guy wakes up and decides to come to your town......but don't bank on it because at the end of the day these dudes already got what they want and know what they want to do. Wiz should be thankful they at least got Bradley Beal and John Wall.

Because they no getting no free agents of that caliber to come there.

Kinda like you didn't read what I wrote. I said it was pick and roll with curry and durant in the 4th quarter.

I read what you wrote and I stand by it. It was a one man show in that 4th quarter with Durant.......just because you set a pick doesn't mean shit to me. Brian Scalibrine could set a pick or a screen......Durant did the work and put the work in. Steph came through and hit some shots every once in awhile but for the most part when that 4th quarter came you couldn't find him when the Warriors needed a big shot that was KD.
They didn't play Brown enough he was the only person on the team other than IT that could get his own shot.

He could get his shot and then miss the shot.....he was a rookie though.....they mainly had him out of position and just playing that 3 and 4 spot for them. He's gonna be alright...Boston got a squad......like I said the other day, I don't know why they were so quick to try and get rid of it for Butler or George but they have enough youth on the team to be patient and let it work itself out.

Warriors not gonna be around forever.

Thats a good thing or a bad thing?

Honestly, I don't know. But after the Javale McGee reclamation project they've earned a little slack just a little. Also he'll always be playing with the 2nd unit which picks up that 2nd unit scoring that we honestly were lacking at times last season which is why we had to turn the 2nd unit into a purely defensive unit instead of the scoring/keep/extend the lead unit it had been.

He was the #1 option on the Jazz though who was a contender......he's not Durant but he did the same exact shit Durant did and I haven't heard shit about him being a "bitch"......like I said above, I'm not arguing whether what Durant did was a bitch move or not.......dudes sat here and talked about how Durant ain't shit just two seasons ago talking about how he chokes in big moments and shit....

With brown yea he was a rookie but he wasn't scared. Give me someone that's not scared and trying over the rest of them niggas getting blown out by 70 at home and shit at least TRY and that included IT as well in that shit. before he got hurt he was just standing there letting it happen.

Large_GIF__1264x694_.gif

niggas said ill double team curry and leave durant wide open in the 4th quarter
and you talking about well he ain't do nothing lol
it's all good.

I wouldn't have him nowhere near my squad but shit if you over the cap and need someone to sign for the vet. minimum then shit its hard to do much better. Probably be a 11th or 12th man.

Kerr ain't worried about defense that far down...that bench probably gonna be able to balloon leads quick

Draymond getting in his face might change his life.

I hope so for his sake.
