Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

I swear I saw this dip coming. I just do it off the ole eyeball test so I didn't want to post my thoughts without charts etc. I had some bitcoin waiting to go for either tonight or by friday at the latest. But I sense a big run coming. This market is crazy as hell fellas there is clearly new rules for this one.

We have to find out what's causing the market shifts. Charting a few coins is one thing but these are total market moves, that's something else altogether.

The stock market is run by news information about events. This is not the case with this market.

But fellas stay the course the market expansion may be the cause but all in all the market continues in an upward trend. It's going to be a good xmas around here folks!!!

Do you think this drop will hold till Friday???

and will probably be right back at 3k in a few days.. the volatility is insane. but bitcoin has been doing this since inception

I gotta start cashing out BTC when it's at a all time high. Then when it crash buy right back in. I'm slowly learning the game....I don't see this crypto currencies losing my attention anytime soon.

When you decide to sell, you should tell us when you're doing it not a week later. That's a significant sell and especially for INFX because it's a small float. I want to actually see in on the sell order list.

This is for all.

I typically give a notification within 24 hours for most things that I share on here. As a general rule, any significant move should be shared with the group. I also shared when I got out of things like Digi, Sia, XVG, etc and explained why.

If people don't share that type of stuff, I'm not going to keep dropping gems in here.

Quick question, what do you think is the best way for people like myself that's still a little confused on how to pick a coin to contribute? I post news and any info I find but it still kind of feels like I'm not giving enough. I want to do anything I can to keep this sharing of information going.

See I made my deposit early today before I went to work from coinbase just in case but I thought prices would hold till the weekend selloff started. But looking at the one month chart for ETH it has nowhere to go but down its been climbing for 5 months striaght. Next few couple weeks gonna tell a big story either falling back down to the $200-178 range or its not done with the current wave. But if it falls dont panic however if you got in late like me might want to sell then buy back in.

I am not talking about the whole market just ETH. It looks to be on the third wave up followed by the forth wave down I was being conservative but it has room to fall till about the $136 mark, due to how high it climbed. I would say don't try to cut it too close but if it gets near $150 buy back in with the bulk of your ETH funds but save some money just in case is tries to hit that lower mark and buy back in again.

Now about this all red shit we see on the screen, this happens way to frequently to be market corrections. IN A NORMAL MARKET. However, this market is far from normal and the growth may be too much. Don't think bubble more more like growing pains. It doesn't know how to act. The people don't know how to act because there are no expectations. There seems to be a short window of 3-6 months from investor to rich man that's crazy fast, maybe too fast for the market can handle. People are making so much money they are constantly pulling money out of the market. Pump and dumps aren't helping the shit either.

This shit is the wild wild west for sure. But I saw Digi about to make this move along with XDN, RDD, and ETH. I don't know what the fuck BTC is doing (could be all the fork business). But the whole market moving might reset things kind of unaturally for these coins. Everything around here is accelerated.

Anything you want to contribute is good enough.

Yeah. It always runs up towards 3k and falls. At some point it's going to cross it but that's the resistance point. It's $400 for ETH. I bet some experienced highrollers just keep trading and rebuying.. probably running a bot that does it automatically.

It's just remarkable how something could lose $1000 in value in a few days and possible regain in a few days, I'm not an expert on the history of stocks and commodities but this has to be no man's land

Ok this shit aint a product or lack thereof. This ain't about news good or bad. This ain't about the economy because this shit is global.

What has an effect on these coins besides greed? We mean well but all the investigation on to if something is shitcoin, long term hold, etc. None of these explains these huge market swings. I would hate to think its a coordinated effort butttttt. In the long run prices will increase but I see a min of 3 years before shit around here starts to act normal. Saying the market is volatile is accurate but there has to be another reason besides quick flips when prices rise. Or make the market is not big enough to absorb these normal cash grabs. Maybe it needs what it can't seem to handle and that is more investors and more money to offset some of these swings.

Bitcoin has a history of wild fluctuations. I bet a lot of the current wild fluctuations are being driven by bots as more sophisticated investors are jumping in. The algorithms on some of these bots senses momentum building in one direction or another and responds by making sure that it doesn't miss buying opportunities or doesn't endure big losses... so increased volatility

What's the deal on sonm? It open in 9 hours.

Just read " US citizen cannot participate."

ya it's a shame...cuz I think SONM and STATUS are gonna be huge...just from the hype aspect alone it could be a quick flip...although they both are potential holds...I'm curious to see what price they'll hit the market @

I'll probably jump on it if the price is reasonable

Overall I don't think anything is wrong with giving each other the heads up on our ideas/moves, however, I don't think it's realistic to think people are going to give hours/days notice before they move. The market moves way to fast.

I know there were talks of some people attempting to move markets and that should be the exception as far as a heads up, but generally I think it good enough people even say what their moves are and overall most people seem to be open about their moves late or not.

This is still investing or worse gambling at this point and everyone should take personal responsibility for what they decide to do or not do.

If anything we need to continue teaching each other the fundamentals, saying the why behind your picks and cut back a little on price movement talk, so people can make educated decisions for themselves and not be dependent on a select few for guidance.

personally I'd hate to be the reason anyone lost out on money they could have earned because I said don't fuck with it, i told you to sell earlier or I said to hold.

No disrespect to anyone here and this really applies to people in the space in general but I think some people may really think they are better at predicting the market than they are. The truth is in the current state of things it's not hard to be right in a bull market or wrong because of the volatility of the market.

Told yall last week that 3000 was near the top of the fib extension.

If Bitcoin does not maintain this 12-hr support at 2k it's the beginning of a market reversal.

Not getting shaken out of my positions yet but its getting close to break evens in a lot of alts. Today is judgment day.

Exactly. This is not a game for the weak. Let the chips fall where they may...

What's the consensus of everyone holding and hoping everything rebounds soon or selling to avoid any major losses?

There is no consensus, it depends on your trading style.

For me, if I get confirmation of a down turn I'm taking a large portion of profits to cash. The remaining digital assets will be used to make money shorting the market instead of going long on coins.

Most are still bullish on Bitcoin and this may just be a natural correction but if it dips back sub $2k and shows signs of serious down pressure then its a wrap for a few months.

Any "bottom" would be $1400 or so which isn't terrible but your portfolio would be diced to shreds if you hold and do nothing until then.
