Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

not according to this hack in the code at allows you to create coins on the sneak tip. Moreno runs the same protocol and found the hack in their code and fixed it, they put the word out for coins that use this protocol in the code to make the fix and for some strange reason Bytecoins Devs have not made the fix yet. You may wanna research this before investing in it hard.

Yep. I saw that shit on bitcointalk.. :smh:

If I didn't sell my STRAT, i'd have an extra $8k right now

Well folks should make a plan to hold a least 3-4 months. Unless you taking some of the coin to fund others. But hold most of your balances.

However always trust your gut, if it says sell then sell. But with your 401k/457 accounts at work nobody even looks at the damn stock market they just let the money ride.

Most of us should do the same. But if you throw some large dollars in the game you can make a few bucks doing daily trades.

http://www.potcoin.com/news/

I think this one might be a winner long term. My sister work with developing technologies in the cannabis industry. There is literally shipping containers full of cash that people are sitting on. They are looking for a digital cash equivalent. It would help reduce theft as well. This may be the coin the industry gets behind. They are starting their own banks, these growers and dispensaries have sooooooo much money here in Cali. She asked me could they do just a cannabis card because she doesn't understand bitcoin etc however she will go with whatever works. There are about 4 weed coins, bot potcoin seems to be the one out there in the community trying to get support in real life not just online. However the industry is trying to distance itself from terms like weed, pot etc. So that's the main issue in if they will try to adopt this coin. However the industry is creating instant millionaires.

My sis had a meeting last week and went to the people's house, she said she sat on a nice leather couch. The lady asked, is the couch comfortable? She said yes. The lady replied "Cause you are sitting on about a million" All their furniture is stuffed with cash because they have no place to put it.

Take it for what its worth.

Just out of curiosity, would your sister have any addresses of said people?

I jumped on few when first mentioned. I wish had bought more. Do you think it's worth buying more at this point or ride out what I have?

In order to make deposits via CC on Bitstamp, do you HAVE to enable the two-step authentication option?

It seems like its making me do so, and then not accepting the 6 digit key. Any advice?

What a paper: Credit Network
PoC sucessfully executed 100% anonymous Ripple transactions in real time

PathShuffle: Credit Mixing and Anonymous Payments for Ripple
Abstract: The I owe you (IOU) credit network Ripple is one of the most prominent alternatives in the burgeoning field of decentralized payment systems. Ripple’s path-based transactions set it apart from cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. Its pseudonymous nature, while still maintaining some regulatory capabilities, has motivated several financial institutions across the world to use Ripple for processing their daily transactions. Nevertheless, with its public ledger, a credit network such as Ripple is no different from a cryptocurrency in terms of weak privacy; recent demonstrative deanonymization attacks raise important concerns regarding the privacy of the Ripple users and their transactions. However, unlike for cryptocurrencies, there is no known privacy solution compatible with the existing credit networks such as Ripple. In this paper, we present PathShuffle, the first path mixing protocol for credit networks. PathShuffle is fully compatible with the current credit networks. As its essential building block, we propose PathJoin, a novel protocol to perform atomic transactions in credit networks. Using PathJoin and the P2P mixing protocol DiceMix, PathShuffle is a decentralized solution for anonymizing path-based transactions. We demonstrate the practicality of PathShuffle by performing path mixing in Ripple.

I saw that posted on Twitter. But what is a "sat"?

satoshi. when you're buying an altcoin with BTC it's priced in satoshi.

"The satoshi is currently the smallest unit of the bitcoin currency recorded on the block chain. It is a one hundred millionth of a single bitcoin (0.00000001 BTC)"

So right now DBG is trading at 765 satoshi.

Got it and thanks. That makes since seeing that BTC is a global currency. Also they have an exchange named satoshi I think.

What you think DGB hitting a week after the Citibank tech challenge?

What you think DGB hitting a week after the Citibank tech challenge?

Man. I have no idea. It depends on how well the place as a finalist and if there is any real demand for Digusign. That is really like the launch for the company. So if they can start announcing customers, it's going to drive more demand.

What you really need is for all the people that purchased at 200 and less satoshis to get out. You want those people to be replaced with new buyers that are less likely to just dump. Also, you want it to knock down that big wall at 1000 sats before the event. Then it might go on a good run.

if you look at the sell orders, it's getting a lot of resistance right now because people keep throwing in 10+ BTC sell orders between 785 and 790

wild story...backwards ass shit...

Bolivian Authorities Arrest 60 ‘Cryptocurrency Promoters’

Since 2014, the Latin American country and its central bank consider bitcoin as well as all altcoins to be pyramid schemes. As such, it was the first country in the world that completely prohibited use of “any kind of currency that is not issued and controlled by a government or an authorized entity.”

You can see whales manipulating the price. After it dropped a bit, a whale threw in a 80 BTC sell wall there... let is ride down... he pulled it... and then threw in another 70 BTC wall as it dropped. Literally one person pulling the price down intentionally. Kind of interesting to watch real time.

Edit: he just threw it back up at 750... he pulled it down more.. now he's going to throw it back up again

lmbaoo..you can see the comments in trollbox...people just saw it and they're mad as hell.. that's the one problem with the smaller altcoins... it's not like nasdaq where you have billions of trading in a stock daily...all it takes is one person with $150k to manipulate the shit out of one of these alts.

Man. This is crazy..i wonder if this person has a massive short position or something because they're doing everything in their power to crash the price.

They're addressing the same market at SC and Filecoin. They have a forum here: https://safenetforum.org/

I don't know about it to say anything confidently. I'll try to read more this week. I know they have a stupid name though. It comes up at bitcointalk all the time and people complain about the team not shipping enough updates but I see they've published new updates on the forum. It bothers me when companies don't list the actual team members. It's usually a sign that one doesn't really exist or the ones that are there aren't qualified enough to be featured.
