[FLASH BACK] HBO'S THE WIRE QUESTION NEVER ANSWERED[?] LT DANIELS

I'm sitting here drinking binge watching season one for the 100th time.

And I just realized all through the series there were many questions about Lieutenant daniels being dirty Burell said he came into a lotta many back in his eastern district days. Also in a later season, Mcnulty was talking to his FBI friend he mentioned Daniels and The FBI agent gave him a look like Daniel's was dirty, and McNulty even asked Daniels did the bosses have something on him.

But I believe Daniel's was dirty in some type of way but how? was he just stealing drug money during raids? working with drug dealers? I don't think the series ever told what daniel's was guilty of unless I missed it. He seemed like a pretty upstanding dude that's why I love the wire they kept it 1000 if I was a detective and kick in a door find 200k in cash in the floor I'm sorry at least 20k or more coming home with me

Also, I had No Idea Shardene was the little girl from the spike Lee Movie Crooklyn until 5 minutes ago.

I don't remember what season, but he admitted it to either his wife or the lawyer chick what he did.

I think it was something about him pocketing money he found on crime scenes.

And it was why he went so hard at Carv and Herc when some money from the bust on either Ashy Larry or Wee-bay came up missing and he made them look all over the car for the money.

i`m not sure he ever said what he did....

he was talking to his wife ...not sure which season but he said something like burrell is not gonna do him if he was he would have done it already...

something like burrell didnt want any stink on him or the department while he was in charge why he didnt think he would but he never said exactly what he did ...probably money like u said tho ....

I think he was clean but everyone in his unit was stealing drug money and etc so they assumed he was too. He didn't snitch on anyone who did which caused him to be labeled with the rest of the unit.

200k? Nigga, I'm takin

way way more than just 20. Shit might take 75%

:lol:my nigga sneed you gotta play it safe you take to too much your going to retire after 6 months on the job and raise suspicion, but I feel you I ain't a dirty crooked ass nigga but in the line of work of DEA, SWAT, LOCAL TASK FORCE do I find a basement full of money I'm taking my fair share off the top no questions asked price of doing business :giggle:

Don't think that was her if it was a little girl in Crooklyn... cause this chick not a youngster. I know she was a singer in the Philly area back before the Wire, and I think she was up around late 20's maybe early 30's then. ...and she was kind of a brainiac type, which is sexy as hell. I think she sang in a club/bar band called Quake during that time. Saw her at a bar up on stage.... good shit. Almost had the hookup, or at least an attempt facilitated by one of her band members, but sadly, it never happened. I would have fucked it up anyway

Don't feel bad family I would have fucked up in real life too with her fine ass

Even though I fucked with string heavy but when he started fucking Deangelo's bm's I was like this nigga is pure evil how you going to get a nigga strangled doing a 20 year bid then fuck his girl string was a nigga you love to hate all the bitches in Bmore you got to fuck the bitch of the nigga you got killed :lol:she was a dyme no doubt but damn nigga.

Avon probably felt the same way like how many times you gone shit on my nephew? nigga fuck that I'm serving you up to brother mouzone:lol:

And another thing that had me tight about the wire Namond vs Dookie

You got Namond a soft ass nigga trying to be a G probably would get fucked in his ass in prison and juvie got bailed out by Bunny Colvin that nigga ain't deserve that free ride he deserved a life free of that thug shit but being adopted by a former police major and to live a life worry free is BS.

Then you got Dookie with a fucking mind of Steve Jobs is fucking beat down by society until the point he has to start running heroin through his veins just to cope with all the fuck shit he been through all his young life were the fuck was Dookie savior! Dookie could have been a fucking Ph.D.But everybody shitted on em because of his circumstances another brilliant mind lost until its too late for him to bounce back and become something.

Damn I have seen that ep but didn't take it in LT Daniels was filthy in his early days but I guess that's what you have to deal with as young cop seeing piles of untraceable money it would take an unbelievable man not to put some of that shit in the trunk of his car. you don't have to go crazy but to pay your bills and house note for a few months why not. The Wire was on point with reality.

I think it had something to do with Avon. After the basketball game he rode right by Avon and Avon waved his finger at him. Like when you reach for something and your parents wave their finger at you

Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you fuck everybody. @BAG fuck you too. Chino XL, fuck you too.

Y'all motherfuckers going to make me watch The Wire again from the beginning...in HD

"You want to put my shit in the street? Feel free."

Lieutenant Daniels was one of the coolest motherfunkers on that show. That show was full of so many perfect lines Perfect People perfect situations. It was the perfect show

Daniels was dirty back in the day. That's why Burrell handpicked him to run the detail cause he knew Daniels wouldn't get out of line from fear of being outed. In the last season Daniels was picked to be commissioner but resigned early on because the politician chick was gonna out him if he didn't play ball and cook crime stats.

@BAG fam, many of the characters on the show could have been PhD, used only for examples. Many of the Black characters from police (felt like Lester was a genius), kids and criminals were absolutely brilliant, insightful, and strong. I didn't hate seeing the boy get adopted but if I recall correctly, when I watched the show, I wished that happened to more of the kids. I felt like that was a way to show how much of an impact a stable home life can have on a kid.

but remember, Daniels and his crew didn't even know what Avon looked like until Lester went to the boxing gym and got the old poster with Avon's boxing picture on it.

Prez tried to help him, but couldn't do much else after Dukie got sent to high school. And once Duke's people got evicted and left him behind, he got kicked out of school.

Prez also gave him money for school and a place to stay, even though he peeped he was lying and already using.

And Mike tried to help him as much as he could, trying to help him get a job, gave him a place to stay while he helped Bug with school. He just didn't have the heart for the street shit. He would've got killed rolling with Mike.

Dag, I just realized how all the main kids were given help

Prez tried to help Duquan
Carver tried to help Randy
Cutty tried to help Michael
Colvin tried to help Namond and he was the only one who was successful.

I just re-watched Season 1. I never understood what the dirt on Daniels was until I focused on this from the last episode: More than the other scenes, including him sticking it to Burrell, this is where he's saying he had a boss in the Eastern who was about the BS and not "the work". Here he tells Carver that once he makes sargent, how he leads will influence EVERYONE good cops and bad cops, and things could go off the rails. So, to me, the dirt is stuff from when he was just a constable and was doing like everybody else. That has allowed him to rise, with the understanding that he was once in a dirty district.

I remember a long time back, on Reddit, someone took a scene from one of these videos posted & zoomed in on the report, showing that Daniels was investigated for taking money but there was no concrete evidence.

Like I said, it was a long time ago.
