Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

if ripple falters for w/e reason it'll probably be stellar...thread may need another breakdown of what these coins do...to find out which ones are competing w/ each other...which ones are legit vs. pump n dump shit etc.
Yeah stellar is related to XRP

We still gotta but up ripple. Probably can't get as much all at once as you would like but when that shit blows up you wanna have some.

Man I am gonna travel but I'm be low key. I need to start hitting entrepreneur/real estate/venture capital books hard so I know what to do with mine. Ain't nobody gonna know nothing.
My man, I was thinking the same thing except for these 2 managers I used to work for that always threw dirt on my name/reputation and one was a sr manager that was garbage. Sigh but you are right....its hard to take the high road some times.

i want to buy thru my non-profit

i know i'm late but funds just came thru

how do i do that i am havin zero success

What's the risk, and does it work?
You have to pay fee for the time you borrow the coins and a fee to Poloniex. if you take the wrong position, you will lose shares. However, if you choose the right position you will can more coins minus the fees.

wait a year and its capital gains through and through
the year is halfway over already

Incorrect, Bitcoin is a taxed as an asset class subject to capital gains, yes.

However, The Service takes the position that if Bitcoin is traded for alt coins that's not a like kind exchange therefore that may be a recognizing event subject to taxation.

It's not as simple as we'd think, but give me a month and I got the fam. This is my wheel house.

ya man @clitsational even tho this is a lengthy thread...the first 10 pages are more than enough to get you setup and feeling comfortable about what you're doing...I was just rereading it to see if there was any one post that made me take the plunge and it was everyone man...even mailboxpimp put aside his beef w/ the board and came thru dropping knowledge to help spread info...the first 10 pages imo are a must read and you'll be fine after that

Real quick, what's the deal w/ New York? Which wallet can I use to buy/hold ripple if I'm an NY resident ?

Seems like New York has some sort of bitlicense requirement and a lot of these wallets don't fuck with NY.

Any suggestions?

At what point would you recommend to not buy ripple anymore??

at .50?
1.00?

I'm not really qualified to answer but in my opinion even if it's a dollar I would buy a few...shit will probably be $10 at some point.....but if it did hit a $1 with the amount I have now I'll be in a really nice position....

1 dollar is a bench mark of mine. I'm not sweating these cents. Either ya have faith or ya dont. We can scroll back and see how many tried to shit on this thing and come up with reasons why it ain't gonna be shit.

I'm not going to say what I think it'll hit. But. I'm not worried about it. You can't. It's not pump and dump it's casual let it hit that high and be like oh shit let me cash out 5k of them and collect that 50k and oh btw 5k ain't even a percent of how many i have

that's what I was talking about way back when the shit was at 0.006

I will have to confirm when I get back. but I'm pretty sure capital gain is 3 years.
If you sell an asset you have held for one year or less, any profit you make is considered a short-term capital gain. The clock begins ticking from the day after you acquire the asset up to and including the day you sell it. If you can manage to hold your assets for longer than a year, you can benefit from a reduced tax rate on your profits. (Long-term capital gain)
