***Official NFL Draft Thread***

man... we're living in bizarro world right now.. trump is president and the fucking browns getting an A on the draft :smh:

And,white folks still not happy about the Browns improving.

One minute, they complain about the Browns not caring about improving, the next they're complaining about the Browns improving.

It's crazy, because the majority of them isn't from Cleveland and wouldn't spend one day there outside going to see a sports event or going to work.

I shit you not,one caller were mad that the Browns drafted Myles Garrett,I was like wtf.... :smh:

Rudolph isn't bad. Evans should have definitely stayed but will get signed somewhere. Noil was a major recruit but looks like nothing more than a special teams player. In the vids that I saw even when he caught a TD pass he had little to no separation from the CB.
I don't know how to feel about the Bears draft. I'm not happy but I've seen worse. What they gave up for Trubisky is my main issue. I've heard good things about the TE, Jackson is solid and I assume that the kid from NC Central is a special teams play cause he's explosive. Apparently they worked with the lineman at the Senior Bowl this year.
The fact that they ignored WR is an issue. Would have liked another CB as well. Right now those DBs they got last year along with Ben Bauneker and Daniel Braverman better really develop before the season starts.

You know shit is Fucked up when the BROWNS and the 49ners had way better drafts then the Bears. They Bears had a pick of the litter at impact players and wiffed.
As a Browns fan I like our draft. Top to bottom. Look out for Howard Wilson, CB from Houston we got in the 4th. He's a baller with swag

I don't see how you could possibly complain about the Browns' draft and they still have 5 picks in the 1st 2 rounds for next year.

The white Browns fans always complaining about shit.

The organization is getting praised from the national media from every sports site, sports radio and etc..And,they still complain about the draft....lol

From what I've been read,he got better hands than Trindon and doesn't have the fumbling issues.
Trindon was just
I'm kind of hype to see what Carlos Henderson can offer. Not that we needed him but i'm a little upset to part with Bibbs. If they would've played him him more I think Bibbs along with C.J. could've been how Tatum Bell and Mike Anderson were. Tatum was kind of like our "home run hitter". Busting off those long runs. I guess we'll see if Booker can live up to his potential though.

Bell stayed hurt all the time..

Browns had a solid draft but in that division Bengals, Steelers and Raven are still better. Won't be surprised in two year the Browns win 9 games and finish in last place in the AFC North.

Jerry and them was calling it a "Dak friendly" pick. I think they want to move the ball on short and intermediate routes. He's not taking Beasley spot but he can potentially cause some matchup problems out there when they go 4 wide with Beasley, Dez and T-Will.

I hated the pick at the time......but they ended up getting Woods anyway so I can live with it. Not that excited about him. Wouldn't shock me if he has a career like Cole Beasley but wouldn't shock me if he ended up being Danny Coale. Niggas don't remember that year we drafted Danny Coale and signed Beasley as a undrafted rookie free agent and Danny Coale was the one who got cut.
I remember it very well..I was pulling for Coale cause he was a Hokie. Beasley quits and goes home and then comes back..Danny Coale gets hurt and stays hurt and never gets any serious time..SMH:smh:

I was done with Beasley after that shit. He quit after taking some lumps in PRACTICE. PRACTICE. So I knew he couldn't take NFL hits. I Was wrong on him.

Cowboys could also be planning for life after Beasley. Unless they can get him for the low like Terrence he's probably gone. He's a cac and people love to overpay cac receivers.

Jeff Fisher is trying to ruin another young quarterback and he's not even coaching in the NFL

The Bears are already taking some heat for their decision to trade up one spot in the first round of the draft, a move they probably didn’t need to make to get North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Either way, he’s the new face of their franchise, and that’s a job that takes a special level of mentoring and coaching to make it successful.

Head coach John Fox has got his work cut out for him. Fortunately for the Bears and Trubisky, Fox has turned to a friend, a long-time NFL head coach who knows a proven track record for developing rookie quarterbacks — Jeff Fisher.

Yes, well-known quarterback whisperer Jeff Fisher. Who better to turn to for advice on turning a highly drafted quarterback into the cornerstone the team imagined he would be when they drafted him.

Over the course of his mediocre 22-year career, Fisher’s teams have drafted three quarterbacks in the first round. The most successful of the bunch was Steve McNair, a first-round pick in 1995. He didn’t break out until 1997, when he finally took over as the starter. His best years came with Mike Heimerdinger as offensive coordinator, the one OC who Fisher actually trusted to run something other than a dollar store version of the 1985 Bears.

Fisher’s other two first-round QBs were Vince Young and Jared Goff, and wooooooooooooo boy, those picks didn’t work out very well at all. In fact, fallout around both players helped Fisher get fired from the Titans and the Rams, that and the thrilling results he was able to put up with barely functioning offenses that he coached.

But John Fox is undeterred. Good luck with that Trubisky and the Bears! Good luck.

I just don't understand it at all :smh:

I didn't think Vince Young was that bad...his problem was more mental than anything...

Danny Coale was beyond ass

I'm not expecting much from this CAC if he does well cool but some people really got their hopes up

Yeah you know people get excited by these little white cac receivers. They losing their minds about McCaffery.

At the end of the day this team is going to be dependent on Dez, Beasley and Zeke. Those are Dak's options.

So gents, what grade will you give your team's draft and why?

To keep it funky I gotta give the Cowboys a B+. IT has potential to be a A depending on how Taco plays. I like the Taco pick I'm just not overly excited. Like we needed a top 10 DE in this draft but we had the 28th pick. Taco is a 28th overall prospect. So I expect for him to get snaps.

Love with the Cowboys did in the secondary. Great value on all those secondary picks. Jourdan Lewis, Chido, Taco and Woods are all potential starters for this season.

I didn't think Vince Young was that bad...his problem was more mental than anything...

IMO, a lot of black Qb's suffered due to playing on shitty teams. Jay Cutler was out here at one point playing with Matt Forte, Martellus Bennett, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey's......Carson Palmer at one point was playing with Rudi Johnson, TJ, Ocho, Henry and Gresham...........

What Mike Vick had in his prime was disgusting. Just disgusting. Vince Young was no different. He had Chris Johnson but man his wide receivers were not up to par.

But shit has changed drastically now. Dak ended up on a stacked offense, Deshaun Watson is ending up on a stacked offense

Broncos- A-

Like

Added speed at the KR/PR and Slot position

Got another pass rusher

depth at the running back position

upgraded at the tight end's position greatly

Dislike

I don't like the Bolles pick,I don't understand why you drafted a tackle that's slightly better than our currently tacke. With that said,I hope he pans out and I will support him.

On the fence

Read Brendan Langley needs a little bit help with technique with press coverage but raw and has the ability to disrupt the reciever.

Me personally,I think he will be great for the "No Fly Zone".Elway's draft record with defensive backs has been great.

Yep and most importantly dependent on Dak

You see how ass we were in 2015 with no QB. Same line lol

One of the things I liked about Dak is he throws to who is open he ain't forcing

I'll never forget when Dez got hurt and they asked him about it he said nothing will change he doesn't look for players he looks for who is open they will still run the offense

That was another sign like ok this dude the real deal

But yeah back to the draft I gotta give it a B+

Good work for the Dallas Cowboys

You right. I heard today they said he was at The Star practicing and shit. He's not letting these dudes catch up to his game.

What intrigued me about Dak was when he was selling himself.....he didn't say he had a great arm or who he was fast or any of that shit. First thing out of his mouth was "I'm the smartest QB in this draft...."....Never heard anyone use their football IQ as a selling point........and you can tell.

Yeah the draft was solid.

I said with everyone they let go they were gonna have to revamp the defense and I Thought it was gonna take a few years.

In one draft they may have already revamped it.

Factor in that Jaylon may be ready and Charles Tapper may be ready.....the defense is gonna be young as fuck but damn is it gonna have some potential and youth to it.

Y'all needed a linemen and got the best tackle in the draft. Can't complain about that. He's 25 or 26 but that's light with a tackle. It would be different if he was a running back.

:roflmao::roflmao2::roflmao3::roflmao3:

Man I'm not going to lie that shit was worse then the Farm that the Browns gave to move one spot up and to get Trent Richardson. At least he was VIEWED as a Can't miss player before the draft.

Man Bears fans are livid.....:smh: You actually got some sports analyst here on talk radio trying to convince the fans that this was a good pick. Saying that we don't know what Trubisky will be.... We know what he is and what makes it even worse is people are like ok if you are going to take a QB all you had to do was wait and draft Watson at #3 but our bitch ass GM thinks Trubisky is better than Watson so he was dead set on getting Trubisky. It's over for him! I mean I hope I am wrong but history tells me that I dead right about this. Dudes here are furious that we have to watch Jamaal Adams in a Jets uniform.:angry::angry:

I understand that, but we wouldn't need to draft one,if Elway gotten one in free agency.

Elway put all his hope on Romo getting released, while top notch tackles were getting signed. He knew before free agency this year's linemen wasn't good and yet he put everything on hold so he can get Romo...makes no fucking sense at all.

I agree FAM these trades Rarely Work out... Honestly I can't remember the last time this has worked when it comes to QBs, but 4 picks to move up 1 spot is insane and this draft had defensive guys that the Bears needed in the 3rd and 4th.

As a Browns fan I like our draft. Top to bottom. Look out for Howard Wilson, CB from Houston we got in the 4th. He's a baller with swag

No Bullshit... I'm happy for you FAM. You have endured much hardship and despair. I questioned the Browns plan last year, but I can see what they are doing. They only issue is will they give Hue the time to do this, because this is at least a 4 to 5 year project. I just don't want to see him fired right when the browns have built a team for the guy.

We fucking won with Vince.... Dude got Rookie of the Year. Vince was just a head case back then and Jeff Fisher never wanted him That was a straight up Bud pick and Eventually Vince did turn into a legit passing QB. So I'm not going to completely hate on Jeff for that. Vince is never going to be a bust in my eyes. Hell the last time we beat fucking Indy with a Healthy QB was with Vince.

As for Goff yeah... that was all on him.

And I'm in no way defending Fox talking to Jeff to groom a young QB... I just fucking hate articles like this that are fucking flat wrong and try to throw shade at Vince.

Never understood the hate Vince got through the media.Did he made some bad decisions,I agree, but people act like he didn't do shit in the NFL.

He wasn't bad,the way Jeff Fischer treated him was bullshit

In the end they were both in the wrong... Vince did some odd things here when his EGO started kicking in. Fisher humbling him by putting him on the bench for a season was the best thing to happen to him.

But then Fisher fucked up by keeping Vince in that Steelers game after he got piledrived by 3 steelers and Vince was in the wrong by disappearing after he hurt his thumb after the Jacksonville game.

I didn't think Vince Young was that bad...his problem was more mental than anything...

Agree..

Never understood the hate Vince got through the media.Did he made some bad decisions,I agree, but people act like he didn't do shit in the NFL.

Exactly...

It still bothers me... I mean dudes Record is 30-17.

To be on the real... I think Vince just game out just a little too soon.

Now almost every team in the league is running the offense that we were running in 2006. Back then the Read Option was a gimmick and now even Peyton was running an extremely modified version of it.

If Vince came out now.... and was throwing the way he was after that year on the Bench... He would be a hands down Number 1 pick.

So gents, what grade will you give your team's draft and why?

B+ / A-... (but in any other draft it would have been a C+)

This draft was weird from jump.. On Day one I fucking about to have a fit for taking taking Corey Davis with Jamal Adams on the Board.

Based on the Mock Drafts... Corey or Mike would have been there at 18. Especially Mike....

I was about to blow up the Draft... but I was wrong..

When we got Adorre I thought we were reaching because OJ Howard was there..
I felt that clearly we would have had a chance to get a good corner in the 3rd..

and I would have a been wrong..

So in any other draft these picks would have been reaches but in this draft.... they were miracles.

The rest of the draft filles every one of our areas of need and he didn't reach on 1 pick.

Plus 4 of these guys will likely be contributing from day one. That's great value right there.
