***Official NFL Draft Thread***

Timmons in Miami D. Vince Williams taking his spot. He's ready. Hits hard as shit. Watt will play behind Harrison. Harrison will play as long as he wants. Dude was a beast down the stretch. Just have to limit his snaps early. Harrison is an excellent guy for Watt to learn behind.

Why are drafting learners in the first round when we need to be winning now?
Ben is 34, and his commitment to winnig maybe waning, especially if you
account for his comments after the loss to the Patriots...We need to win in this
or the next season...

Dalvin Cook smh, dude killed it in college

yeah..i thought he was going 1st round..
When speaking about first-rounder Christian McCaffrey, Panthers GM Dave Gettleman compared him to Hall of Fame RB Curtis Martin.

"It doesn’t happen very often," Gettleman said. "The best tackle-box runner I’ve ever seen is Curtis Martin out of Pitt. Christian is right there with him. Running in that tackle box takes unique vision and unique quickness, and he’s got it. Curtis had it, and he had a great career – a Hall of Fame career – and this kid’s got those kind of skills." That's a lofty comparison. Carolina has talked about "evolving" as an offense all offseason, trying to take some pressure off Cam Newton, and McCaffrey's unique skill set should allow it to happen.

Yea Gettleman is gone after this season. He's obviously senile the white boy is going to get torn apart in the NFL :smh:

Best I can hope for at this point is we get Cam Robinson and a WR. Wtf we got two second rounders and ain't made no moves???

Naw man. That white boy can actually ball. He's a good fit for Carolina. And they'll put about 10 pounds of muscle on him before he's ready to take over every down duties.

Yall need a rb that can do it all.. and you can even line him up as a slot receiver... gonna take a lot of pressure off of Cam. I thought yall would go with Cook but even though he's bigger, he's not a good blocker and struggles with fumbles.

Bruh they surprised the hell out of me! I already had my @RoadRage excuse ready for why I wasn't logged in for about 2 weeks!

Great, solid, expected pick...I was more excited for Corey Davis on offense, but he went top 5 as he should have. and I was more excited for Reddick and Foster because I have a bias for linebackers and safeties... But Barnett was the best for our scheme, He's young ..only 20 years old, has the production against SEC competition: is great against the run and can get after the QB..the best finisher of all edge players in the draft. pair him up with BG ---an edge who gets crazy pressure and has an explosive first step but doesn't always get home--with a young buck who doesn't have a necessarily great 1st step but has great bend and finishes strong is a nice combination. Curry, Chris Long, Marcus smith, Steven means and McAllister should also eat in the rotation...
Cox, Honey Beau Beau, and Jernigan providing the rush up the middle...man that line is gonna Be MEAN

Now we need 2 corners and a RB in the next 3 rounds.....Kevin King, Awuzie, Tankersley, Wilson, Sutton, jourdan lewis Corn Elder, Witherspoon, Rasul Douglas, howard wilson...lots of good corners for our scheme.

RB like Joe Mixon (best in the draft), Dalvin Cook, Wayne Gallman, Marlon Mack, Curtis Samuel, Alvin Kamara, Kareem Hunt, James conner would be great for us

Hey I'm not saying white boy will be a bust...I'd have his ass running back punts. But dude is like a slower Reggie Bush when he went to the Saints. They ain't gonna be retiring Bush's number . White Boy ain't gonna be running away in the NFL like that.

They said it was between the safety Adams, OJ Howard and McC.....I would have taken Howard or traded down. We could still get a power back but I wish we would get Mixon

He's not though.. Reggie was always scared to run between the tackles and the white boy isn't. McCaffrey is a complete runner not just a big play guy like Reggie. I think the only flaw is that he's only 203 pounds. He's not tiny, but he's gonna have to get stronger to be an every down back.

He's a good fit but I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger on an RB that early... it's a really deep RB draft.

He's going to be bust if he stays at running back. You can draft a kid kicked out 5 schools but not one who you says hangs with a bad crowd. Can't see how cook slipped

I thought he would go in the 1st round, but I'm not shocked considering how the draft board went. He'll probably be the 1st player taken in the 2nd round though because the packers really need an RB. Cook was dealing with multiple injuries and has a fumbling problem so not surprised he didn't go first round.

Yeah. Said that 'Bama grinds their players. It's good for wins, but by the time they get to the League, they're physically done.

they would always say that about the RBs... that by the time they got the NFL they were worn down from getting 30 carries a game.

That's the thing you ain't gotta be scared to get fucked up. Sure he can try to run between the tackles but one solid hit from Deion Jones from ATL or LeVonte David and he's out for 4 weeks :smh:.

He'll be used as change of pace back and put in the slot during year 1 while they bulk him up. They'll get him up to 210..which is solid for an RB... Emmitt played at 210 his entire career

Man look, white boy is not Emmit Smith. I ain't trying to be negative but there is a good chance Steward ain't gonna play all 16 games this season. We need him to split carries but he's little and white so he probably won't be able to carry 20-25 times if Stew goes down. We need to get a power back tonight. Mixon, Cook or Foreman can come in and might honestly push McCaffery to the slot full time down the road...which would mean it was a reach at 8.

I didn't think it was an issue either but that's what they said about Bama backs :dunno:

Yeah but overall you notice a trend with their players in general they have those dudes over there playing banged up when it's time For the medical evaluations at the combine it comes to light

And when they get to the League, they're already at their ceiling. It's like Nick takes every ounce. Outside of Julio and Hightower, who else is balling hard?
