Here is an Article from Essence... Read it and tell me what you guys think about it...

New studies show Black women have been receiving degrees at a higher rate for years.

A new report is revealing encouraging statistics about Black women and education.

According to findings compiled in a study by the National Center For Education Statistics, Black women have been obtaining degrees at a consistently high rate for the last eight years and counting. Information collected about the higher education among African-Americans between 2009 and 2010 shows that Black women accounted for 68 percent of associate's degrees, 66 percent of bachelor's degrees, 71 percent of master's degrees and 65 percent of doctorate degrees awarded to Black students during that time frame.

By both race and gender, the study also shows that Black women are enrolled in college at a higher percentage than any other group including white women, Asian women and white men.

However, while the study does shed light on many positive aspects of Black women and education, some of the overall statistics are still immensely troubling. For example, as of 2012, only 15 percent of students enrolled in college were African-American, a drastically low number relative to that of the 60 percent of white students enrolled.

I swear, there are so many logical fallacies in these responses it's ridiculous!!!

I disagree black women are going to school and getting their degrees

Dismissal based on personal anecdote and opinion

Someone needs to question the OP especially his choice of sources:

The Daily Caller is an American news and opinion website based in Washington, D.C.. It was founded by Tucker Carlson, a libertarian conservative[2][3] political pundit, and Neil Patel, former adviser to former Vice PresidentDick Cheney.

Right wing website

Word! Almost every sista I know has a degree and the majority of them either have or in the process of getting their advance degree.

Ad hominem attack

Just curious how many of you guys actually did your own research on the subject...

Someone at least tries to bring a reasonable response.

"Most educated"="highest student loan debt % by group"

Irrelevancy

Granted, the source article and author have their own agenda, the claim that black women are "the most educated group" is a statistically false assertion.

"But while black women have made enormous educational strides in the last few decades, Salon, The Root, and the rest are all pushing a completely bogus narrative. Black women aren’t the country’s most educated group, and it isn’t particularly close.

Defining what makes a group the “most educated” isn’t a precise science, since there are many traits that could be used to measure a group’s education level. One could look at high school and college graduation rates (Asian women are currently tops in both), or how many Ph.Ds or other terminal degrees a group earns.

None of these measures are used by the news outlets declaring black women the country’s most educated group. Instead, the assertion is based on two observations: that a high number of black women are currently enrolled in college, and that black women dramatically outperform black men academically."

Whats ironic is that anyone who is truly intelligent knows that an Ad hominem attack is the calling card of an unintelligent person..
But I will probably be called a sucker for pointing this out..

Damn some of you dudes are really looking to dog out Black women. The say its an Ad hominem attack yet at the same time you say this:

Granted, the source article and author have their own agenda

YOu can't have it both ways but hey...whatever floats your boat.

How is pointing out that the facts are not accurate dogging out anyone? As much as we with it was true, tell me how can you honestly look at the data can come up with that conclusion..
And if did do the research that proves it, all I am asking is for you guys to post it..
Logic should not have any emotions or agenda attached to it..

But I have heard this from several sources not just the right wing. Yvette Carnell mention it every other week but she also says they got a negative net worth.

We should learn to do our own research instead of just take the words of anybody..
This shit is not that difficult, the numbers are there.. The only thing you can do is question the numbers, that's why its important for people to site their source...

You really do have a disdain for black women.
You listen to that tommy dude huh?

Look at what the OP posted:

Almost out of nowhere, they say, black women have blown past whites and Asians to become the most educated demographic group in America.

But the narrative is false, a fiction created entirely from a mangling of U.S. census data and an inability to read simple charts.

http://dailycaller.com/2016/06/07/m...group-even-though-its-not-true/#ixzz4botmkvlW

Now, perhaps the OP has an anti-Black woman agenda, or some other agenda. You'll have to ask him about that. But he is correct in saying that the narrative at hand, that Black women are the most educated demographic group, is false. It is simply a false statistic.

And yes, the Daily Caller has its own agenda, which is obvious from the author wrote below:

The claim that black women are now the nation’s most educated group is used by The Root and other publications to complain that black women haven’t achieved a superior economic status that reflects this apparently superior education.

“Unfortunately, while black women may be the most highly educated, a recent study found that black women make up just 8 percent of private sector jobs and less than 2 percent of leadership roles,” The Root says. This complaint even made it across the pond, being repeated in The Independent, a British newspaper.

As a conservative newspaper, it's readily apparent that the Daily Caller wants to dispute the validity of what is a false narrative for its own reason - to reject racism as the reason for Black women's low representation in private sector jobs and leadership roles.

Whats ironic is that anyone who is truly intelligent knows that an Ad hominem attack is the calling card of an unintelligent person..
But I will probably be called a sucker for pointing this out..

I wouldn't say "unintelligent" as much as I'd call them intellectually lazy.

We should learn to do our own research instead of just take the words of anybody..

Everyone should agree with this.

Direct ad hominem attack that fails to address the narrative at all! Just proves RoadRage's point.

I agree roadrage but it almost make sense without doing any research. Black women are not getting married, black women are not getting home loans but on the other end they are one of the biggest consumers. I can keep going ..Just trying to make a quick point

Hilarious.

However its fascinating to see the responses in here based on the BGOl backgrounds some of the posters have shown in here.

I've been closely monitoring the OP for a while. I'm not sure who or what he is, but I find it odd he has "1933" as part of his username. The same year Nazi Germany was declared by the then appointed Chancellor Adolf Hitler.

Now I don't believe in coincidences because one thing I've learned, is that white supremacist posing as black posters, love to be slick with their references to white supremacy.

In short, OP needs to report to the hand verification thread. :hmm:

But where is the stats that prove that Black women are the most educated people? Notice all they are posting are personal attacks and how they feel about the people, but zilch when it comes to actual numbers and figures..

All these posts are showing me are the inadequacies of our men.

Frightingly evident.

You're overusing the word.

  • Ad hominem - (of an argument or reaction) directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining.

  • Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"[1]), short for argumentum ad hominem, is a logical fallacy in which an argument is rebutted by attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.
You really do have a disdain for black women.
