A pregnant 19-year-old Texas woman was fatally struck by a train while having photos taken of her on the tracks in a bid to launch her modeling career.

Fredzania Thompson attended Blinn College in Bryan but wanted to put her education on hold to begin modeling, her mother told the Eagle.

"That's definitely what she wanted to do," Hakamie Stevenson told the newspaper. "It's what she had started to do the day she was deceased."

Thompson was standing between two sets of tracks Friday in Navasota when a BNSF Railway train approached, according to the paper. She moved out of the way, but was apparently unaware that a Union Pacific train was coming in the opposite direction.

The teen passed away from her injuries on her way to the hospital, according to the newspaper.

Fredzania can be seen smiling in a photo taken on the tracks taken just before the accident.

"Zanie had the most beautiful smile," fiancé Earl Chatman told the Eagle. "I believe she would want everyone to know what a kind and caring person she is."

Chatman, the father of a 7-year-old son, found out in recent weeks that Fredzania was going to give him another child.

"She said, 'You're going to be a dad again,'" the 25-year-old Chatman told the Eagle.

The funeral service for Fredzania will be held on Saturday. She would have turned 20 this past Monday.

"If you ever needed someone to talk to she was always there," wrote a description on a GoFundMe tribute.

They did a report on something like this awhile back (can you hear a train before it's too late). Basically, if you can hear it and you're on the tracks but can't see the train...it's too late.

RIP.

But young women need to SLOW down sometimes. I mean seriously a modeling career? already pregnant at 19. and engaged. Its too much, stop trying to grow up and let life live.

She should have been focused on her studies and not modeling. Plus already pregnant and engaged and she just left highschool.

so sad.

Word. Trains are mad crazy quiet when they're running. I spent some time on a train yard, and you literally wouldn't believe one was moving near you sometimes unless you saw it.

That's why railroad safety rule one is "don't foul the tracks". If you have to be on tracks, don't linger. And if you hear anything, don't be on any tracks at all. Way too many people have dodged one train only to be hit by another one on a parallel track.

Man but you have to feel the tracks shaking or some shit. Nothing that fuckin big and fast can be that quite. RIP.

This never makes sense to me. I live almost a half mile from a rail line and can hear that bitch every time it comes through. How do you not hear it that close?
My thought was maybe it was music playing in the background and she couldn't hear it coming cause of the music. That's the only how it makes sense that she didn't hear it to me.

who was taking the pics??? is there video footage?? how was her and her babyfather relationship going the past few weeks??? these are the 3 questions i'd have if i was homicide uhhh i mean law enforcement:hmm::hmm:..something sound a lil fishy

What kind of trains you're around, because the trains where I stay at are loud as hell....but you're right though, folks need to stay off those track or at least stop lingering on them.

Now that makes sense. I remember this chick I knew lived right by some tracks. You can hear the fucking trains coming from inside. They must have been seriously distracted.

I think it was foul play involved.

yeah i'm thinking foul play to... "modeling" while preggo sounds kinda off in general... could it be she wanted to abort the baby cause she wanted to start a modeling career?? and babyfather wasn't feeling her canceling his unborn child??? so he set up a "photoshoot" near a train track to submit photos b4 she went to the clinic.. u exterminate my baby i'll exterminate you..i'm saying stranger things have happened..need to kno who was taking them pics

It honestly depends on how fast they're moving, vibrating, whatever. And in this case, they heard one train and didn't realize that it was two. So nothing could have stopped that except making sure that you weren't on any tracks. Story is tragic regardless, though.

Yeah that's true. One train may have drowned out the sound of the other one if that makes sense. Really sad though.

Yeah and sometimes they run silent, I've heard some be real quiet when they coming.
