Lord my heart goes out to him because I know his name is out there after the rally, but I would think he would have more help.

But why go live with this?
please give him strength to get through this. This really hurts me.

I'll keep my comments to myself about dude and the suicide attempt.


But I will say that Black folks need some serious debriefing before they plan to help others. We also need to study dianetics. Or something similar to it...before we try to help others.

I agree with you 100% dude ain't built for it. Get to know who the fuck you are before you jump out in front of people. Join an organization and be a part of something that helps people.
 
well I can judge if what they say is true, is son took his life,

Im sure he must be in a lot of pain, Im not a father but Im sure to lose a son from suicide,

would leave you with a whole lot of guilt..

Im sure there are those blaming him for it as well..

RIP to his son and I hope bruh man gets the support he needs..
 
it was his nephew but still ,its hard to listen to but yeah "mental illness' and fragile sensitivity, alot of activists are sensitive soul deep within, becos of the capacity to empathize with downtrodden folks they tend to feel alot at once and keep it inside and not have an escape but at the same time alot dont know how to balance self care and outter self care, and to replenish and to see the long term pic, i cant imagine martin or malcolm ever doing such things , for some people ,they see it as a divine occurrence ,like a lesson to be learned and gain strength from but some would see it as god rebuking them, u never know how folks will react to tragic events.. its sad really

He didn't know that trying to help and uplift the community was going to be a thankless job? Shit you can learn that by living life and having family and friends turn their backs on you...
 
thats why if ure out here on the streets doing activist work, if u aint strong minded or have that fragility gene, u might need to work in association with other folks and
if ure over 22yr old, U NEED TO HAVE A DECENT SISTA OR BROTHA ON UR SIDE at home or at ur sanctuary spot, its very VITAL !
DR KING OR MALCOLM COULD'VE NEVER WITHSTOOD and prevailed against WHAT THEY DID WITHOUT STRONG SISTA PARTNERS AT HOME!!,
THOSE SISTAS WERE VERY ESSENTIAL TO THE STRUGGLE ON AND OFF THE FIELD! thats why sista Betty & sista Coretta were and are so prominent in their husband's lives, folks tend to downplay the importance, its as old as any ancient afrikan tradition! but we live in a capitalistic society where individualism is so prominent! in afrikan centered VILLAGE u will have elders and companions to calibrate u when ure going off center
 
This is a prime example of why we have to support our ground troops. Expecting every brother to man up or be militant takes it toll, mentally, financially, psychologically, emotionally, etc, etc....
 
my man in his own hell. suicide is devastating to the surviving love ones. i hope he make it thru this crossroad with his moral compass intact and is able to transcend his Christian domestication. i know what it feel like to go from "all power to the people!" to "fuck the people!" the burning bush is a baptism by fire, the trials of heroes, it is a test to humble u and prepare u for an elevation if u are worthy. if u not worthy it can break u down to ur very last compound.

p.s. fuck that song, fuck that artist in the background. shits wack, its enough to make u kill urself
