LeBron James airs out Charles Barkley

Lebron thinks he is not going to get called out for whinnying for more help on an already stacked team that he himself put together?

What Barkley said was correct. Barkley said Lebron acts like he wants all the best players on his team.

Was the hall of fame Lakers Bulls or Celtics stacked? If you know basketball the word stacked is all about perception. The cavs need a playmaker possibly two
and a big man. Personally Jones and Jefferson and both guards need to go. At the end of the day you want a ring if I know I have to be in a gunfight with the warriors and I know my team is comparably a knife I would try to get better also. They won last year because Bron put on nba history's greatest performance period while leading both teams in every statistical category. He will get burned out if he keeps that up

...........

Barkley never personally attacked Lebron.

Lebron James was out of line with his comments. Barkley made a comment about Lebron asking for more help on a championship team that is already stacked. Barkley comments were very fair.

Lebron does not have to like Barkleys comments but to take personal shot at someone for making purely basketball comments is out of line.

Tell that to Garnett people are sick of the round mound of coon

First of all fuck Charles Barkley

Let's just get that out the way what Lebron said is all facts about Chuck we know he is a clown and hypocrite

What we can also see is how personal Lebron took this cuz there was some truth to what Barkley was saying man I don't care how you slice it

We can shoot the clown ass messenger all day but the fact still remains

He's more than a clown and a hypocrite, he's a fuckin' coon. And most of the time all this no championship ring having asswipe does is criticize black stars.
He shit on Durant for doing the same thing he did by signing with the Rockets trying to get that ring. He shit on Curry and the Warriors because of their pass first, perimeter shooting style of play.
Now he shitting on James because he voiced his concerns to management, something his ass kissin' self would never do. Barkley is the type of yessah boss buffoon white people like. FUCK HIM!!

IIRC, Chuck criticized management in Philly, but 'Bron is wrong?

He was badly coached against Dallas while leading that series and depleted against the Dubs. If we are going to mention hypotheticals, then he could easily be 5-2 in the finals.

BOOM

I love how all the bgol experts forget how many shots Kerr and Paxton made...

and when Lebron makes the SAME pass to the open shooter...he scared.

How many games Pippin dominated in the playoffs

How many playoffs and finals Magic messed up and Isiah messed up and Bird messed up....

Can some of you historian tell me when a NBA team has won without being stacked
When has the lakers won with out play makers on the squad
When has the spurs without play makers on the squad
When has the celtics won without play maker on the team
Kats talking like you don't need a stacked squad to win a NBA championship

Its ok to have a stacked team if they are facing James, but he should not be allowed to have 1. James shouldnt be allowed to use his leverage or be given resources. Anybody can win BUT LeBron. HE MUST LOSE. BGOL will clown Bron if he loses to a stacked Warriors team this Final and say "no excuses"

Charles Barkley won't apologize to Michael Jordan, says Nerlens Noel should shut up

Back in 2012, Charles Barkely and fellow Hall of Famer Michael Jordan had a falling out.

According to Barkley, Jordan stopped speaking to him after over 30 years of friendship after the TNT analyst and former Sixers great criticized the way he ran the then-Charlotte Bobcats, saying on ESPN radio, “I love Michael, but he just has not done a good job.”

Over the years, Barkley has said things have gotten better between him and his former friend. They even appeared to publicly squash their personal feud by hugging it out following the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame ceremony back in October.

But Barkley told 97.5 The Fanatic's Mike Missanelli Wednesday that the public thaw wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

“We bumped into each other. He treated me great, I think I treated him great, but our relationship hasn’t been the same since I criticized him on his business,” Barkley told Missanelli. “You know me … I’m a always do my job. He did not take it well. We shook hands, we said hello and that was it.”

Barkley’s TNT colleague Kenny Smith suggested to Barkley that he apologize to Jordan on the air. But if Jordan is expecting anything remotely along the lines of an “I’m sorry,” Barkley says he shouldn’t hold his breath.

“That’s not going to happen, number one,” Barkley told Missanelli. “These guys all got thin skin today. … We’re trying to do our job! What do you want us to say? It gets frustrating at times. I actually didn’t think what I said was that bad, to be honest with you.”

Barkley also spoke to Missanelli about Sixers center Nerlens Noel, who the team can’t seem to figure out what to do with.

As the Inquirer’s Keith Pompey reported, Noel was taken out of the rotation on Sunday after he public criticized his lack of playing time, only to be put back in on Tuesday amid chants from the crowd to “Put Nerlens in!” and “We want Nerlens … we want Nerlens!”

“He needs to just shut the hell up because he ain’t proving anything,” Barkley said, ignoring the current logjam at center and noting that Noel is athletic enough to play around the perimeter.

“If he was playing well, they’d play him more than eight minutes,” Barkley said. “If he just goes to practice and kick their butts, they’ve got to play him at some point."

Charles Barkley says the Golden State Warriors play ‘little girly basketball’

imrs.php

Charles Barkley has never been shy when it comes to criticizing the Golden State Warriors.

The 11-time NBA all-star said in 2015 that the Warriors would be no competition for the legendary 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls squad that won 72 games. According to Barkley, Kevin Durant jumped on the “gravy train” when he took his talents to Oakland in July.

On Thursday, we may have possibly found out the root of Barkley’s angst. Speaking on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” the “Round Mound of Rebound” just let it all out.

“Maybe I’m old school but I’m never gonna like that little girly basketball where you have to outscore people,” Barkley said. “I’m biased against girl basketball.”

“Did you ever watch U-Conn.?” Kenny Smith replied.

“I love [Huskies Coach] Geno Auriemma,” Barkley said. “He’s one of my favorite people. I love women’s college basketball, but I don’t want it in the NBA.”

Barkley has thrown some occasional support toward the Warriors every once in a while, like when he said Klay Thompson was the second-best player in the NBA behind LeBron James, and praised Draymond Greenfor his low blow on James in Game 4 of last June’s NBA Finals.

Barkley’s apparent issues with Golden State’s M.O. belies how dominant their style of play actually is. If playing “girly basketball” means winning 89 of their last 100 games, as the Warriors have, Barkley might want to consider rethinking his biases.

MJ told Phil to draw those plays up like that. Had that been 'Bron, he'd have lacked "killer instinct". I love Pip, but he quit on the team, because Phil drew the play up for Kukoc. I'm beginning to believe that most of the "Well, MJ wouldn't have..." people, probably never saw him play.

All them mofos played golf together, gambled, and fucked white bitches. Jordan and bout 30 other superstars at the time had the same agent (David Falk) and was all cool. A bunch of opposing stars got caught up in that Gold Club Atlanta scandal hangin out together. The myth of cats hating each other and being cutthroat is bullshit.

I can't remember if it was post game, or in a regular interview. As for "girlie ball" where you have to outscore everybody, wasn't that the Suns' style at the time?

76ers Send Barkley to Suns : Pro basketball: Controversial forward traded after acquittal in Milwaukee. Philadelphia gets Hornacek, Lang and Perry.
June 18, 1992|From Associated Press

PHILADELPHIA — Charles Barkley's stormy and stellar career with the Philadelphia 76ers ended Wednesday when he was traded to the Phoenix Suns for guard Jeff Hornacek, center Andrew Lang and forward Tim Perry.

The announcement came within hours of Barkley's acquittal on battery and disorderly conduct charges in Milwaukee. Barkley learned of the trade while at the airport.

"I just want this trade stuff to be over one way or the other so I can concentrate on basketball," Barkley said. "Phoenix is not a bad place. I could play golf every day."

Jim Lynam, who recently moved from coach of the 76ers to general manager, said the 76ers' new players will fit better with new Coach Doug Moe.

"We are extremely happy to acquire these three players. We feel they will mesh tremendously in the Doug Moe system," Lynam said.

Hornacek, 29, led the Suns in scoring (20.1 points) and steals (1.9) in 81 games last season. The 6-foot-4 guard ranked third in the NBA in three-point shooting (43%).

Perry, 27, averaged 12.3 points and 6.9 rebounds, and Lang, 25, averaged 7.7 points and 6.7 rebounds. Perry was a star at Temple University in Philadelphia.

"This team was in a position to end up with one of the top basketball players in the world," Phoenix President Jerry Colangelo said. "This adds some of the things we've needed for a long time. When you're talking physical presence on the court, leadership on the court, it is there."

Barkley's constant criticism of his teammates and the 76er front office made it a stormy eight seasons in Philadelphia, and last season was filled with controversy.

Barkley started the season by accusing the 76ers of racism in roster decisions. In December, the 6-6 forward was charged with punching a heckler in the nose in Milwaukee. He severely criticized teammates in a book, and in April he called General Manager Gene Shue a "clown" and a "caddie" for owner Harold Katz.

Barkley controversies in previous years include:

--Unhappy with the concept of the college draft after starring at Auburn, Barkley was determined not to sign a contract for the rookie minimum of $65,000, which was all the 76ers had available under the league's salary cap. To scare the 76ers away, Barkley began an eating binge that included 20 meals in two days, and fattened himself to 291 pounds. The 76ers cut a player to open a salary slot, and Barkley signed a four-year deal for $2 million.

--Reportedly slapping an Indiana fan in 1988 (denied by Barkley).

--Getting arrested on a weapons charge for having a gun in his car in 1988 (charges dropped).

--Saying he bet with New York Knick guard Mark Jackson on who would make the big play in a January 1990 game ($5,000 fine).

--Slugging Detroit's Bill Laimbeer in April of 1990 ($20,000 fine).

This spring, Barkley said the best way to help the 76ers win an NBA championship was for him to play elsewhere, and he listed Phoenix among his top five choices for a trade.

Barkley, 29, averaged 23.1 points and 11.1 rebounds last season, but the 76ers missed the playoffs with a 35-47 record.

The 76ers had found it difficult to make a trade for Barkley because of his $3.2-million annual salary.

The Suns managed to squeeze in Barkley's salary under the $14-million cap by cutting guard Steve Burtt and forward Ian Lockhart.

"I'm a little nervous. I'm not sure, I've got to sit back and see how it goes," Barkley said. "In shock? I just don't know how I feel. I don't know if I'm happy or sad. I have to pick up my family and move them across the country. It's been a great eight years in Philadelphia and now I play for Phoenix. Whatever happens, I will deal with it."

you are right...MJ just wanted to win and so does Lebron...that is why anyone who is a die-hard MJ or Lebron sycophant I disregard.

You DO NOT have to sh*t on one to big u the other...

Instead we should discuss how overrated Steve Nash is, how Dirk was protected from criticism for YEARS because he was the next "Bird" etc.

I cannot defend the Kukoc thing...sadly that ONE moment (along with the migraine) completely tarnished a near perfect career.

I can't ever sh*t on Pip cause as a Knick fan I saw that man play...he was one of the BEST ever.

And I can HONESTLY say Jordan would NOT have won ALL those rings (he would have won many) but not ALL those rings without Pip.

Remember when MJ retired the first time?

Pip lead he team in almost EVERY statistical category and they WON and quite possibly if not for ONE call he would have won a ring WITHOUT MJ and completely and utterly rewrote history.

The ONLY one that comes to mind, is that Detroit team that beat the Lakers.

4 all stars were on that team like this years Warriors.

If that team comes to mind then the 2011 Mavs got to be next.

Though that team was stacked with the right pieces

Don't tell Mark Cuban that tho

That team was stacked with role players that were former starters and all stars. Had 2 HOFers (though 1 wasnt in his prime but still solid) and 3 7 footers. Its not a team thats remembered but that year they were the best and had the highest payroll.

Are you equating that Detroit team with today's Warriors?

Nope cuz the Pistons didnt have superstars like the Warriors but they were 1 of the best defensive teams to ever win a chip and they showed it that Final in only 5 games.

The Rockets of the 90s is a better example IMO.
