When they showed the spot where Ragnar was dropped into the snake pit I was like "If this motherfucker's hand comes up through the ground I'm going to be done with this show."
- Ragnar is gone but Ivar seems to have the future of this show on lock
- Athlewulf is the only one in England thinking clearly about the Northmen
- Largetha knows ruling is torture... she saw first hand with Ragnar
- Ivar is going full Dark Lord of the Sith.... crawls in with knives to challenge Largatha
- Ivar has slaves scared like he's Suge Knight in 95, called his brother a coward in public
- Rollo is the Viking that went to college and has expanded his worldview (Muslims, Allah)

I don't understand how this dude marries a chick who's fucked 3 of his brothers, then lets his brother fuck after marrying her. And I was surprised they showed that blood eagle. This show has some of the most gruesome deaths that never get shown. They usually just show blood splashing in the face of whoever is doing the killing.
S1 Ragnar wanted Athelstan to fuck Lagertha... and its implied in the past Rollo accepted an invite from Ragnar and caught feelings for Largetha
I also thought this episode moved from them leaving for England, to having the battle, to it being over, quick as hell. None of the usual conversation on the boats, setting up camp etc. I thought they would drag it out over a few episodes.
