Thank you for posting this. I can't understand why some people keep saying he hadn't accomplished anything. Historians will probably rate hims as one of the greatest presidents of all time.

-Obama has the smallest percent increase to the debt since 1982. Reagan increased the debt by 189%, Bush Sr. increased the debt by 55%, Clinton increased it by 37%, Bush Jr. increased the debt by 86%, yet Obama has only increased it by 35%.
You are looking at from personal finance. It's frightening when someone gets credit for living only 35% beyond their means.
To put this in perspective. If you make the American average of around $30k/year a 35% debt increase means that you now owe $10,500 more this year than you did last year. For every $3 you earn $1 would go have to go towards the debt and roughly $0.60 would go to taxes.
You would have to live off $1,166 a month just to break even. For most of us that wouldn't even cover our rent, especially when you throw interest and late fees into the mix.
Forget Trump, this is the scariest thing happening in our country right now. These are the same conditions that led to the French Revolution.

Change you perspective, it's bussiness... you aquire debt to continue to expand.
Lol in GM... Healthcare, 12 million created jobs, are you serious?By that standard Obama must have expanded the American empire by 35%. If so where is it?

Look, man .... Obama was far from a do-nothing president.
Its just that, as a black man, when I read that, I don't get excited. Not because Barack didn't accomplish anything, but my focus is on my community going forward, not whether Barack will be well respected as a president historically. Thats great for the Obama lineage, but what about us? What about me?
A fact of life is we're at/near the very bottom as a collective, and that hasn't changed from the moment we came here 'til the present day. The optics have improved, but the optics always pale in comparison to what is beneath them. With other racial and ethnic groups coming in in droves, and a jobs opportunities shrinking because of technological advancements rendering human labor obsolete, things only stand to get worse. On top of that, we're still not a sufficiently unified collective. We're still lacking in infrastructure.
To put it bluntly, we're still residing within the system that enslaved, oppressed and still oppresses us, with nothing on the horizon suggesting that that will change substantially at all.
Its so bad that we almost fanatically support Democrats who have zero interest in true black empowerment, but doing just enough to maintain our loyalty, which obviously doesn't take much.
I saw someone talking about missing the forest for the trees, but I think they mistook the trees for being the actual forest.
I'm thinking large picture, and our place in it as black people. It is quite possible for America to be extremely prosperous and for black people to still suffer the affects of racism and everything that comes with that.
I respect Barack as much as I can respect a president of Amerikkka, but I have no real use for a major leader or political figure that can't help the black community sort out their mess.
This isn't even so much of a critique of Barack as it is an examination of why we feel the need celebrate leaders that are incapable of facilitating - along with OUR COLLECT EFFORTS - black liberation.
I don't care about symbolism. None of that was able to prevent the justice system from allowing white police offers from getting off after murdering one black life after the next. Barack didn't cause that, but he couldn't stop it.
Now, what?
No but the taxes the 1.1 million employees pay more than make up for itIs GM going to give the money back with interest?
thats why i never got into arguments, any wise enuff grown adult male would know this, people think symbolism isnt imoprtant,BUT REPRESENTATION IS IMPORTANT!
i rooted for barack more so for the little young black kids more than anyone else, they're untainted yet by the world and they were born into a world where a blackman held the highest office in the modern world and they grew up in that!!! , seeing him on their TV and all ,not fully grasping the importance of the moment but also knowing they see someone who looks like them ,swag out on the fukkin empire stage!, even though we know as adults its all a facade , this little kids ? they dont!!! ! they believe that shit ! and with that belief they will dare to dream! not all will reach their promise land but it will spark a fire in many that will go on to burn down babylon's stranglehold and he did it without tanking the fukkin economy , without destroying healthcare or manufacturing and tho not creating not enough job but not losing jobs or ground either, specially after rescuing this nation from a nightmare recesion! i dont need barack to save me ,im good with his run!
No but the taxes the 1.1 million employees pay more than make up for it
It's paid back though, in case you were wondering

He is a personality that helps promote the system. Whites will continue to poison the water, air, soil, etc. and will continue to be programmed against real blackness and blacks. A system of staying in control of white power. The real wages of blacks is kept hid by fraud and survival teachings. All most blacks know is try to get money and life is rigged up for us to get it with out selling our souls. Obama did more killing than most presidents have done. He is a puppet for great devils like Bush, etc. And if any black think that being carbon copies of whites is going to improve life they are sadly mistaken. If Obama save babies from pittbull that was going to eat them, ppl would still complain.
It is just in ppl nature to complain any chance they get.
Lol keep trying bruhIn that case it was a sound investment that didn't contribute to the 35% increase in the debt. So what did?
Lol keep trying bruh
The nation will carry debt as long as it's a capitalist society, that's the nature. This is not to shame Obama. I'm just shaking my head at the fact that we've become such a deadbeat nation that a 35% debt increase is a comparatively good thing.
Eventually we're all going to have to answer for this debt and once we do it will create chaos, ruin and death on a scale never seen before.
You bring up business and investment. Okay, show me one business that can lose money for over 30 years and still stay in business.
The nation will carry debt as long as it's a capitalist society, that's the nature.
Obama we supposed to quadruple the deficit let republicans tell it.
There is HUGE difference is losing money and aquring debt. Trump is a billionaire right? But he has personal debt amounting to 600 plus M.
Its a shell game.I am a business owner so I completely understand how assets and liabilities work. What I doubt understand is how the country keeps piling on debt while the people's standard of living stays the same or worse. It's like balling on a credit card without paying the bill
Its a shell game.
We borrow money with a p2p.. then those p2p are bet on, traded and sold.
The cost of doing bussiness will never decrease, there are 4 ways to offset
*Produce more... won't happen
*Print more money - inflation
*Raise Taxes... good luck, political suicide
*Borrow from to there sovereign
The spending is recouped over time by taxes. But there is a tipping point when we hit that expect war to normalize the debt
