I consider myself to be decent with computers. My weakness however is networking and oh yeah, shit that Windows 7 should have taken care of YEARS ago IRQ shit. I've been getting BSOD for months and reformatted and I'm just now able to start trying to tackle this problem. I built this system a while back. I've goggled but all the info I get is not helping me. If anyone can help Id greatly appreciate it.

I've had Asus boards that generated BSODs due to the chipset and Asus was good on sending me a replacement. I can't really tell anything here that would be an issue. Did you check the event viewer for the time stamp and error that caused the bsod?

Are you running the latest BIOS version for the board? I just checked their site and they have
Version 2101 is that what you are running? If you are, start with the basics. One stick of RAM and just run on board video. If you can run it at that point start adding components back (like now add the other stick of RAM) when the system is unstable again remove the part that caused it.

Thanks for your reply, sorry my phone was tripin lost all 10,000 songs starting over, Ill get that info. I'm actually having a new BSOD now.

Bet, I'll grab the latest bios once I get my damn music back. Bro I appreciate you both taking time to help.

IRQ conflicts are rarely caused by the motherboard as all irq assignments will have been done by the manufacturer. This leaves any and everything you have plugged into the computer since you built it starting with your cards. Long time ago in the late 90's early 2000's we used to have to disable onboard video when using a video card to stop the irq conflicts. In my experience 90% of all irq problems were caused by the sound card or video card. I would say start your focus their, if you have a video card take it out and use your on board video for a few days to see if you get the bsod if you really don't want to do that see if asus allow you to disable onboard video in the bios or in the os. If you have a sound card do the same, remove it and use onboard or see if you can disable onboard.

Haven't seen IRQ conflicts in over a decade. Questions I would ask are:

1. What peripherals do you have connected? Does error happen if you unplug everything but mouse and keyboard?

2. Have you installed anything lately software/hardware? If so uninstall and see if error presents.

3. Does your memory have to be installed in pairs? If not unplug one of your DIMMs test swap and test again to see if error presents.
If you only have one DIMM go buy a stick from Bestbuy test and return it.

What OS are you running and for how long? Try clean install.

Only USB mouse keyboard

Just standard drivers

Good idea. I'm starting to thing its my memory.

I know man that's why I was tripin. I just formatted the system. I think you're right I need to test my memory. Using Win 7 Ultimate. Still working on my damn phone getting those songs back. Then I have to try and get my old music back from all 3 Seagate HD that wont come up. LOL been in the crib 3 days straight trying to fix shit. Those HDs had Napster shit on them:roflmao3:

Make sure your BIOS is updated. Also check firmware and drivers for all devices. Upgrade to Win 10. I got rid of all ASUS boards, I use to catch hell with memory clock speeds. I use MSI or gigabyte boards now for desktops.

Damn kid I always though Asus was the shit. Come to think about it I had a board right b4 my divorce dog it was cold, literally, water cooled the whole 9. After my divorce it went belly up, hell I thought it was bc a nigga was just going through it lol. Bet Im about to build another system at the end of the month what you think about this set up so far?

Since you mentioned MSI

That go in cycles. One minute Asus is up and the next is someone else. You selection should be fine, before I purchase a new mobo I always check product forum of the company. I also buy a board that's a generation old or a version 2 or 3 of the newer board. That way you would buy a board relatively bug free. One of my ASUS boards couldn't use USB 3.0 expansion cards, BSOD no matter what I tried or how many different brands I tried. I will post my server specs later today, it has been rock solid running nonstop for a year.

Extremely unlikely it's an IRQ problem. Change out your memory. or at least run the windows memory check along with memtest86 or any other one you can find. Problems like that usually are because you have a bad stick that only crashes under certain conditions. IRQs litterally haven't been a problem since windows 2000.

Bet.

download NirSofts blue screen viewer and read the dump file created by each BSOD.

it's most likely a driver issue or defective hardware...

I thought I put an MSI in my server. Actually it was a
Intel Desktop Motherboard LGA1155 DDR3 1600 MicroATX - BOXDB75EN
Amazon product ASIN B007T4JJEI
The rest of the specs are as follows:
Intel Core i7 (Socket 1155)
w/ Core i7 3770 (4 x 3.9GHz CPU-8MB Cache+1150MHz Graphics)
32GB DDR3-1600 Memory (4 x 8GB Kit)
Antec Clean Design Mid Tower Case
700W Power Supply

It has been rock solid and it has been up and running since 4/2015.

we should just create a thread for people to post their specs in. it would be interesting to see how many intel vs amd builds are out there. the original format war lol.

That's some serious computing power fam! I just need something rock solid that can handle multiple users on my local network and external network. When my server use to act up, the family was ready to riot. Ingrates didn't care it was up for 3 to 6 months before a failure. I also, got a great UPS if you need one.
