He said ..cuzzo can i hit you up at 6..i need a mans perspective..he called me at 6 and told me he just got this big promotion at his job and it is going to double his salary and he will be making damn near half a mil a year and then said yeah cuz check this out a buddy of mine sent me a text asking me was tina and i still together and I said yes..then he sends me a pic of one of his friends and their side pieces at a Halloween party and tina was right there dressed up like Nefertiti and the dude she was hugged up with dressed like King Tut is the newspaper man. Cuz she sat here and made those costumes for 3 weeks telling me they was for her boss and her husband staying up til 2-3 am finishing them both. He said cuz after all I done for her....5 fucking years cuz and she do me like that. He explained she came up with an excuse at the last minute not to attend his company halloween ball and that she had to work late and complete a project and she wont be home til really late. that is the bullshit she told me then I see her on that pic in the same shit she made in my fucking house for the mf newspaper man...this nigga wakes up early in the morning and slangs newspapers cuz...he is a goofy ass nerd dude cuz

then he said..Cuz she was right there 3 months ago when I was with the company owner having dinner with him and his wife and they was telling us I was the one they choose and I would be getting this big ass raise...he said man the fucked up part is this...I find out she been seeing this dude for the past year and half..nigga dont even have a decent job...this nigga passes out newspapers out the back of his truck...he broke man why did this bitch choose that nigga. He was one of the people we had a community food drive for and when we first moved in the neighborhood 4 years ago. she with the nigga right now at his house man...nigga live in a fucking garage apt....damn man

.....at that point I realized it wasnt about him finding out she was cheating on him...it was about the man she was cheating on him with. I told him from what im hearing from the time she started cheating on you with that dude was around the same time she seen you change to get that promotion. You have learned a lesson not many men experience in life... your woman left you on your best day...for a man you feel is below you. I said right now your dealing with having to go back in your head and delete a whole bunch of bullshit mfs have told you about women. Your woman is with the very man you talked down to her about when yall first moved in the community and and you was feeling like that i finally made it black man you could tell just by looking at him and going into Black Moses mode and tell her why that dude life is the way it is and why yours is better than his life because of the choices you made.....now you finally realize she never gave a shit about any of that shit you said about that dude.

you know a person talks about the same thing over and over but put it in a diff scenario..he did that 3 minutes after i told him that. I know what he is going through I was him at the age of 24 and that shit allows you to take a step back and be like damn...that just happened..and your scratching your head because you was told the outcome was suppose to turn out diff. I made sure i told him do not go fucking with ol boy she fucking with. I also told him he needs to take some time to be real with himself now...look back over the relationship and look and yourself....figure you out...she gone now...let her go cause she checked out over a year ago.

Dude not even 27 yet and got his heart crushed like that on his best day...

I have a colleague whose wife decided she wanted to have a open relationship after 15 years of marriage. With another woman. LOL.

Luckily, I listened and things been great ever since. Turns out the wife was about to give me an ultimatum when I changed things around.

That part of hit OP's story reminded me of the movie "Unfaithful" (2002).

There was a particular scene in the film where the wife was washing dishes. She was rubbing her hands together unconsciously while reminiscing over the man she was cheating with.

The husbands walks in ask her a question and it takes her a few seconds to realize he was talking to her. The husband got a look in his eyes and at the moment he knew that she had checked out. He starts doing PI work until he finds the truth....

That's part of the film stuck out to me. It was a little detail of routine that was all of a sudden 'different'.
