McClain High School in Greenfield, Ohio issued an apology on its website over the weekend for the appearance of a “Trail of Tears” banner before the Tigers’ football game Friday against the Hillsboro Indians—but quietly deleted Spirit Week photos depicting students dressed as slaves, Chinese laborers, and in stereotypical Native American costumes from its online photo gallery.

That wasn’t the only change made to McClain High’s website over the weekend, though. Someone modified the school’s online photo gallery (which features images of both the historic 1915 school building and student events like Homecoming) to remove photos of this semester’s Spirit Week. Here are some photos from that now-deleted gallery page:

not so much about cac's cac'ing...

but is that a coon cooning in the pic? (slave with hands bound)

but at the same time... they were going up against a team called the indians and was clear they weren't trying to insult a nationality, just mock the other team.....

The ass whooping I would put on my boy if I ever saw a picture with him in ropes and a CAC holding the other end would be the kind of shit they make video games about.

Fallout 6: The Shadow Chronicles
Call of duty: The final defeat
Runaway: beat the muffucka like he really was a slave

I would have to redeem my family with the power I would put into destroying that boy.

If you live in the surburbs, it's implied you want your child to fit in at all costs.

Hell fucking no it's not. Don't let stereotypes skew your perception.

That boy just didn't understand why this was not a good look for him. That's on his parents.

He could have told his friend this shit wasn't cool and they could have come up with another costume idea.

You don't have to live anywhere particular to have respect for yourself.
