Some players still can believe it..DeMarcus Cousins looks at Durant on the Warriors in disbelief....

huh? Ibaka was moved to facilitate signing Horford, which would've happened had KD stayed. Harden wasn't staying in OKC that was his decision not Presti's, but are you really ignoring how inept Cleveland's front office was while Lebron was there? The same dudes who declined a trade for Amare Stoudemire because JJ Hickson was the future!?! Lebron made the Heat a championship team. Wade without Bron or Shaq is a routine first round loser. Bosh wasn't a piece like that. Lebron didn't go to the 2006 Miami Heat, he went to the team a year removed from drafting #2 in the draft.

Nah Harden's decision was presti's remove that right to trade him clause and he signs for a cheap ass deal in comparison

umm wade was in the league how long b4 shaq came to his squad?? u do kno heat had some nice talent on that squad and with a few more yrs prob would've made a lil noise without shaq..most people don't kno that cause they bandwagon hopped that squad once shaq and lebron got their..juss like lakers had eddie jones, van exel, kobe and several other players on the lakers b4 shaq got their..they to could've made a lil noise in the future if they were allowed to play longer together..wade and kobe already was showing promise b4 arrival of shaq

exactly..if harden gets paid he stays..okc franchise has a whole diff story..squad that literally had a bunch of draft picks that ended up turning out to be good..presti had 1 job and that was to keep them together..okc may have had a few rings by now and we wouldn't be having this thread

Nah Harden's decision was presti's remove that right to trade him clause and he signs for a cheap ass deal in comparison

Bills, why would Harden sign for $56M when he could force a trade, get the extra year for $20M & have his own team? Pelinka used the CBA to his advantage. $80>$56. You see Harden took the max from Houston this offseason & won't even touch the market until he's like 32. Dude wanted his own team & the most money.

And they had to all, but gut to the team to accommodate the the signings. All they had left was Wade, Chalmers, & Haslem.

i disagree a little bit. it makes logical sense sure but i feel if he would've put in the no trade clause he would've stayed. his contract would've been up by now and he could've gotten super max and have a ring.

Get your rings playa niggas wasn't crying that shit when Lebron left and went to miami for his ring shid if he the King like they say prove it beat the super team!

You have to have been in the league 8 years to get a no-trade clause fam. Harden understood the business & was shrewd. Presti gets the blame more than Harden gets credit for working the system. Harden was NEVER accepting an extension from OKC, Presti knew that & made the best move he could make. Harden was about his money & maxed out every chance he got. He will probably never be a free agent, much like Pelinka's other top SG client.

Damn u still salty from 2006?

How the fuck do u go up 2-0 in the nba finals and then proceed to lose 4 straight games in that said finals.

Wade took your entire franchise soul that finals

You're talking about Wade being a loser compared to dirk who is the ultimate fucking loser in nba history. Don't think I forgot about that warrior 1-8 series while dirk was MVP that year. And year after year being raped by rest of the west.

Wade took them along with the ride.

maybe Im wrong but I sense a little jealousy there,

and why should players be loyal to teams..

when teams are not loyal to players...

I say fuck all that, do whats best for you...

This. Being "loyal" to a PROFESSIONAL team is dumb. If they found a good deal, they would trade him or if he couldn't play as well then they would cut him. Players should always do what is best for them and maximize their playing years to their benefit.

K.D. don't need a pass for it either IMO but just call it what it is. That's all I'm saying. I don't care about a pass he don't need a pass but its hilarious that if he went to other teams that he has a fucking history with to make a super team for those other teams then it's all good lol

like i said. aldridge and leonard.. with pop and the rest of the crew? COOL
fucking clippers with cp3 blake deandre and them? COOL
nvm the history he has in beating them and losing to them in the playoffs. he's played the warriors 1 time.

I've already explained why the 1 team is different from the rest. You either understand why I, and most people see the distinction. Or you dont.

nigga Wade aint been shit without Shaq or Lebron, the ultimate Robin.

Ok. I trust your word fam.

Ain't no explanation that makes any logical or principle sense period.
Every other team he could have went to had all nba players... max players.. and would have made a super team.
so.
im not arguing anyone should be ok with kd joining the warriors
i argue that everyone should have a problem with him on any team other than okc.

how did robin get the finals mvp that yr though with shaq..u do kno shaq sat out a few playoffs game that yr while wade took over and won rite??? shaq was lucky to play with wade that yr..how many rings shaq won after?? kobe and wade won rings after shaq he can't say he won without them

We knew he was going to leave. That shit had been evident for the last few seasons. But the way the Warriors series went, with all the antics, and the implosion that happened... Yeah... Him going to the Dubs is seen as a sucker move. Only in the sports landscape. As a man I'm good with whatever he does that makes him happy. But it's the most recent history he has with the team he most recently played that makes it different.

Avery said then & now, that he would still double Shaq & let Wade go off. Here's another thing, if Wade doesn't shoot them out of game 7...Shaq would've carried them to the Finals in 2005 too. C'mon man. The Heat add Shaq and instantly go to the ECF & Finals his last 2 years of dominance. Wade winning rings after, goes to my point: he aint won shit without Shaq or Lebron. Out in first round twice & two 2nd round losses( including last year).

Bron didnt get a pass for it and KG and Ray got traded to the team... Not an accurate comparison.

Bron ain't get shit on as much as KD has already. And did KG not waive his no trade? Decisions were made to link up a "superteam" in all cases.

Peace,

No yall stop pretending like he has a history with the warriors past this season. He doesn't this was the 1st time they played in the playoffs.
He has a history with the clippers and the spurs in beating and getting beat by them. Those 2 teams are more of a rival for him personally throughout his career than the warriors were.
Like I said, everyone is OK with him joining 2 teams he has a long history with which makes no damn sense.

People are like Oh would Bird join the celtics this shit ain't nothing like that. It's like Bird joining the Bucks.

Stop it.

He doesn't have to have some sort of long, drawn out history with GSW. The only history that matters is what just happened: he played like shit, gave up a 3-1 lead to a defending championship team, joked around and communicated with members of that team while they were losing to them, then joined that team when he had an opportunity to do so.

It ain't like Bird joining the Bucks. It's like Bird joining the Pistons, right after the Pistons knocked the Celtics out of the playoffs.

Aint nobody in here talking about loyalty.

The issue is competition.

Tell me one reason why fans should respect a player going to a team thats historically great WITHOUT him.

Just one.

Get your rings playa niggas wasn't crying that shit when Lebron left and went to miami for his ring shid if he the King like they say prove it beat the super team!

Fam... LeBron beat a superteam already... TWICE!

OKC had Westbrook, Durant and Harden on it when LeBron beat em.

Please lets not pretend that LeBron is the dude who has anything to prove here.

maybe okc owner should shit on kd life and call him everything but the word ******..than kd should return back to okc after the owner shit on his life and win him a ring..that's what gets respect on this board..let somebody spit in ur face and kick u in the ass and than in return go work for them and make their bizzness prosper better than ever b4 yeah that's what well respected people do

Shots fired..... look out lebron dickriders

Avery was and is still wrong.

The proof is that they lost after chocking away a 2-0 lead.

Oh and Wade was MVP.

Why wouldn't anyone respect him? The only difference now is that the superstar player has the opportunity to choose where he wants to play. Many of these superstar players know one another and they are friends. This is expected.

Competition... Really... You are talking about the NBA. There are usually on three teams that have an opportunity to win during any given year. Look at the NBA champions. It is the same teams over and over again. That is just the nature of the beast and honestly... Adam Silver and the owners are probably loving this.

Avery was and is still wrong.

Yes & no. The Heat went 2 deep at a position we had no answer for. Once we blew that lead in game 3, reality set in. The Heat played physical and made us a jump shooting team which is how they beat us. He was wrong as hell, but you have to be a Mavs fan to understand...Shaq owned us & he was determined to stop that. Wade did his thing in historic fashion.

I am not mad at Durant. Do you think OKC would have been loyal to him if he got hurt? Ok then, he didnt owe them nothing.

bruh...you missed the entire point....

nobody cares that he left OKC....good for him

the problem comes in that he goes to that team....the historic 73 win team...that his team blew a 3-1 lead in the conference finals to

say that shit out loud....seriously....

Bron ain't get shit on as much as KD has already. And did KG not waive his no trade? Decisions were made to link up a "superteam" in all cases.

Dude, an entire race if people hated Bron for going to MIA. Duran is getting the kiddie treatment by comparison.

Been screaming that about wade for years now. Without a top ten player he's in the same banana boat as Melo and CP3
