I finished this one earlier today and I fucking loved it!!!!!! Where do I begin:
As someone else already stated, I don't think there was one bad looking woman in any episode of this show. Misti Knight, Claire Temple, Candice, the detective who got canned after Scarfe's shit came to light, the inspector, the single mom who wanted to get with Luke, the baseball player's daughter, etc etc. Gotdamn, there was some serious eye candy on this show. Hell, even Alfre Woddard was looking fuckable in a few scenes.
Speaking of her, I loved how her character developed. You could tell she had a dark side bubbling underneath, but when Cottonmouth brought up the molestation, that was a wrap. The genie is out of the bottle and it ain't going back in. I want to see her get on the level of her grandmother.
So many quotable lines in this one. Diet Obama, Turk talking about how Hell's Kitchen was safer, damn near anything Cottonmouth said, the line from the song Dwyck in episode 9, etc etc. I hate that he got killed halfway through though, because Mahershala Ali was bringing it.
Back to Misty Knight. That was one sexy ass woman right there!!!!!! I think the natural hair did it for me, but those big ass titties didn't hurt either. My only regret is that they didn't show a full body shot of her in that dress in the finale when she goes back into the nightclub. I know she was killing it!
The music alone will have you hooked. I'm downloading every single track asap. Loved how every ep was named after a Gang Starr song.
I loved the scene with Luke and Claire in the police station:
"I hear Cuban coffee is particularly robust."
"That's the corniest thing you've said to me........and it happens to be true."
Just flat out told Luke she got that good stuff, and even followed up with the seductive lick of the chopsticks!!!!!
I could be here all day extolling the virtues of this show. Who do I have to murder to get them to start filming season 2 asap??????

I remember hearing about Dapper Dan when I was kid in some of the rap songs coming out of N.Y. I know he was responsible for a lot of N.Y. artist unique look/style.
I started researching the Brother when he laced Luke Cage with the fresh threads.

I saw her coming the entire time.
She was WAY too half in and out. I didn't expect Mr Stokes to get killed but I knew mariah would be the queen by the end. Mom's Mable connection let that secret go for me EARLY on in the season.
It took me a while to remember where I recognized him from. Then I remembered he was Dunn Pearnsley on Boardwalk Empire.
Every white person who given the show a bad review pretty much says this exact thing
