Chris carter was all good as long as he stuck to football commentary. The moment he strayed into personal opinions or political points of view he lost his balance. Thinking beyond football is where he lost me... Too much gray area for him to comment on.

These dudes getting canned from ESPN need to get on their grind. Fox isn't going to take every single ESPN castaway unless it wants to be viewed as ESPN-lite. These guys need to hit up Verizon and Twitter and any other media outlet that has a NFL deal if they want to get a job. Or they need to shore up their color commentary game and start doing games. Those in-studio analysts gigs are a rare commodity since they are only oh so many spots available.

The only thing with CC is that once we know his personal politics, it makes me think twice about the opinions he's offering as well.
