Police: Man beats girlfriend after she refuses to have abortion

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is behind bars for attacking his pregnant girlfriend after she refused to get an abortion.

The incident happened on August 21, the victim told authorities.

Police documents revealed the pair were sitting in a car when 24-year-old Juan Lee told the woman she needed to get rid of her baby.

The woman responded by saying whether or not she got an abortion was up to her and got out of the car.

That’s when Lee allegedly began hitting her with his fist and began choking her.

The victim frantically tried to get out of the car, but Lee pulled her back in.

He then parked the car, pulled the victim out and reportedly began kicking her in the head creating a large gash to her head.

Lee was arrested for the crime on Monday and charged with aggravated assault.

I don't like that this happened at all. Two people had sex but only one gets to make a decision on whether to bring a child into the world. It is the male who is usually financially responsible for 18-21 years.
There are women who would keep the baby as a tie to keeping the man. There should be a fuck contract. It would say something like "We enter into sex knowing that a pregnancy could result, while we will both take measures to avoid this, if it should happen the father will not be financially responsible if he does not want the child and the mother does not wish to abort it."

Sounds cruel and low level but if people knew going in that there was a legal and binding contract in place they would make different decisions. My 2 cents

you sleep with could be your potential baby moms...

sad logic, sad reaction and most of all a sad excuse for a man...

I do agree its fucked up that the woman gets to call all the shots, while 9/10 times the man is stuck with the finanical burden..

but it dont change the way I feel about this...

What makes you think you have the right to tell a woman what to do with her body? Once you nutt in a chic you have no say after that.

what makes a woman think she can make choices alone that effects another man financially..

it takes two to tango so it should take two to

make a decision...

its HER body but HIS seed...

why is the latter always left out of the equation??
 
She has the power.

He played his cards wrong.

He should've been telling her he love her and that he's so happy and excited. Tried to appear to be her friend.

If that worked then good, if not...

Some areas are proposing something where men can 'opt out' of raising a child if they do it soon enough. Don't ever think it will happen in America. Imagine if cats could opt out and women would still collect benefits. :eek: Government couldn't target men to get money back. Plus they'd probably be lawsuits because women might not reveal they were pregnant until past the deadline.

He made that choice when he decided to go raw
And no matter how much financial support a man provides unless he is actually in the home on a day to day basis, the nother usually sacrifices and gives more. That's for most people not for the rich

No, but my disappointment has been reinforced. I'm pro choice, but I think abortion should be a last resort. The fact that people see a fetus as something disposable bothers me. The idea that the girlfriend only wants to keep her child to trap the man, and not because it is life she made being foreign to some of these folks is also very telling. I know some women can be callous and some use abortion as birth control, so this isn't a male only phenomenon, but that some of these men think it's only about them and not the mother or the life they made is disturbing. Half the people here, myself included, probably wouldn't have been born if both parents had to agree to move forward.

Im just saying a man should be allowed to be part of the decision making process..

and if soley her decision to have the baby then its soley her financial responsibility to take care of it.......

since it came out of HER body and its HER choice it should be HER financial responsibilty....

its a different world we live in now... women can drive trucks and become police officers....

thats all Im saying..

if a man cant take part in the decision making process it should

relieve him of any financial responsibility...
 
If it's her body and her choice despite the man's objections, then it's her financial responsibility as well. But we all know these women are the first to go to the courthouse and lock you down for 18 years.

But I definitely don't agree with this Rae Carruth ass nigga actions. Strap the hell up and stop seeding these broads you don't want.

Man your point of view is sad. I would never in life deny my child a father. If the female decides to have the child I would step up and be a man regardless.
