Donald sound like he from up north. He don't sound like he from Atlanta.Man Another thing that I have to say is damn..... the accents are on point. On point... It's rare to see a show that actually has black people that actually sound like they are from the south.
it was better and far more entertaining than I expected it to be
took me awhile to get used the N word being thrown around so casually on basic cable

Donald is from Califonia and resides in Los Angeles.Everyone doesn't sound the same as proof by him actually being from Atlanta himself.
Yeah but Donald is originally from California and he now lives in Los Angeles. He lived in Stone Mountain, Georgia for awhile but he never lived in inner city Atlanta.Cause everyone from the South doesn't always sound a like..... His character went to Princeton. Which explains alot. My accent changed after College.
Side note... The jail holding cell scene was pretty much perfect. That is exactly how shit plays out. Shit is like some weird Airport waiting area.

Stone Mountain is not the inner city of Atlanta though. Folks in the inner city of Atlanta talk different from someone from Stone Mountain. I know this cause I've experienced having properties in ATL since the 90's onto now and seeing how the people there talk so I would know.Glover was born near Lancaster, California,[2] and was raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia. His mother, Beverly (Smith),[5] is a retired daycare provider, and his father, Donald, Sr., is a retired postal worker.[6] His parents also served as DeKalb County foster parents for 14 years. He was raised a Jehovah's Witness.[2][7] He attended Stephenson High School and was voted "Most Likely to Write for The Simpsons" in his high school yearbook.[8][9]
I'm not sure what constitutes you being somewhere but just because you were born at a place doesn't mean you were raised there.
Either way, point is everyone doesn't sound the same...their's a certain dialect and accent people have but everyone doesn't get it or use it. Especially in the South. I can see if this was NY or Boston we talking about.
He just don't sound like a southerner to me though, maybe it's cause he don't live in the South anymore that's probably the case.Georgia is Georgia..... I grew up in Humboldt, Tennessee but grew sounding like I'm Memphis.
Plus he grew up in Georgia in Dekalb County. Went to High School in Stone Mountain... Dude is from the south.
DJ Paul has lived in vegas for like 12 years now, but aint no one saying he isn't from Memphis.

And you dont "sound" like a Canadian you fraudulent fat fuck.He just don't sound like a southerner to me though, maybe it's cause he don't live in the South anymore that's probably the case.
Real Atlantans don't even know this dude, he's not considered a Atlanta rapper. To be honest I had no clue who he was until I seen him on this show.It may not be Atlanta but it is the south lol. Everybody from the South doesn't have a southern accent is all i'm saying. To be honest, I didn't really even know where he was from I thought he was from Atlanta. I follow his music and he's shouted out Atlanta a lot far more than any other region or city so that's kind of what I assumed.
You never heard how I sound. I was born and raised in Toronto, but I also have properties and homes in Atlanta, Toronto, New York City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Montreal, Detroit and Ottawa. I know all about Atlanta though. I have a Southern swag. And you dont "sound" like a Canadian you fraudulent fat fuck.

Nope never watched it, never heard of the guy until now.Hold up.... Have you never watched Community? And he never said that he is an Atlanta Rapper...
Please tell me this is not a Survivor's Remorse clone, but on the music side. Now that I think about it I wouldn't mind that concept except for the fact that it seems contrived because others have come out with it before...
Exactly....
I don't know why people think everyone from the south sounds like they have a country twang. I liked how you could almost tell the parts of Atlanta where the characters stayed almost from their accent. Especially the Dude who was telling the story about wishing he stayed at home and not see his boy that he hasn't seen in 11 years. I mean that shit was almost perfect... I don't see how you could write that shit down. That had to be improvised some, because I could go to my neighbors house right now... and ask him to tell me a story and dude would exactly like that Kat in jail. Exactly...
