the writers need to be careful with the dark army because its an easy out to make them too all power and all knowing with agents everywhere. They need to be real careful not to use them too much.
I had the same reservations.
But after reading Bills take, I think its necessary.

Live the show, but I've noticed they treat Black people VERY greasy.
For starters, the show takes place between Manhattan and Brooklyn, but there are almost no Black extras at all.
As for the speaking characters you have,
- a Black hacker that went to jail for financial fraud (the only member of F Society to commit financial fraud)
- his mother who talks to the feds in exchange for having her weed rolled (WTF?!!)
-an FBI agent who speaks slang and broken English around white people in a professional setting while being but hurt over a white woman he was paid to like
-An online pimp played by Craig Robinson (just having him on set is usually a sign of racist fuckery)
-a Black prisoner who killed six people
The show is a crime drama full of crooked broken people so I'm not expecting positive role models of any race. Still, this is getting to be a little much. I may have to stop watching out of principle.
Correction. I forgot to mention the E-Corp executive that burned the money. It's worth mentioning that he's the only executive that's having trouble dealing with the stress of the job though

I agree that there are parrallels and everyone is a hacker to some degree..particularly when you consider that social engineering is a huge aspect of hacking then cops and feds are as much people hackers as elliot and them are computer hackers. But thats why I wrote how in real life the feds would be all over fsociety in much more aggressive ways than theyre showing in the show.
In fact they wouldn't need some agent sleeping with angela to get info from her they would just have to ask her slimy ex boyfriend..you think that guy would hold up under questioning and an offer of immunity??..
In fact after her ex spilled his guts about her initiating the disk that caused the all safe hack they would have brought angela in immediately and started putting the screws to her in order to flip her for more info on elliot or start throwing huge jail time at her for being involved period.
I'm just illustrating the MULTIPLE ways the fed would be closing in on that group..it wouldn't just be one agent who happened to find a flyer and is taking her sweet time in getting around to questioning angela.

The FBI has taken control of a whole floor in the E Corp building which means theyre looking into anything associated with e corp..that attorney had a smart home that she left because it went haywire..now she's missing..once she's reported as a missing person the feds SHOULD be contacted since she's e-corps main attorney and the second person to go AWOL after tyrell. The cops may initially be alerted but they have to turn the investigation over to the feds who'd have jurisdiction. Dom would be alerted since she's apparently heading up the case and she'd personally show up to the house to look around. And she'd open the black curtains for more daylight or something, looks down and theres the cassette on the floor under the black curtain. hows that??

its interesting you have that take on Darlene as some super ninja hacker making chess moves...my impression is of a person who is in waaay over her head with no real plan for the next move.
The plan was to destroy e corp and the financial system. They didn't do that. Fsociety is the mosquito on the ass of a bear called E-Corp..they stung it hard enough to make it stop and scratch but they have no idea what to do beyond that IF theres anything they CAN do beyond that.
Darlene is not some proactive charismatic leader with a plan C, D,E and F...she's a reactive angry person whose desperately trying to stay one step ahead of the feds and keep her crew together thru sheer force of will rather than a thought out plan.
