I remember an old Public Enemy line "I got a right to paranoid my people have been persecuted!" & White Supremacy is a racist insane system, a lot of us are trying to form a rational behavior around irrationality. So, for a Black Person to stand up for their rights in any given situation is seen as irrational including this one. She was protecting her domain & what did they do? Murder her. In cold blood.

I got family who is suffering from schizophrenia. A young black man in his mid twenties. We have to be vigilant in making sure he is on his meds and makes his psych appointments. This world don't take time to ask if your on meds or not. Especially if your black.
This young lady mentioned in her traffic stop video that her family knows that she felt she was going to die at the hands of a cop. They knew she had mental issues. Her dude probably knew it too.
I wish this could have ended better but it sounds to me as if no one was trying to get her on meds or get her any real help outside of a diagnosis.
Throw in children and guns and it ain't ending well.

Now your putting words in my mouth. She didn't die during the stop. She died because she brought a gun into the situation. You can't defend that. Not with her kids in the house and police with a warrant at the door.

Reminded me of a student of mine that got expelled from school for pulling a knife on another student. Administration was going to allow her to stay IF she would have gave up the knife. But she didn't want to. When I told her would she give me the knife because she has a kid and she came back to school for a better future, she still wouldn't give up the knife. I even told her if that knife meant so much, I would go buy her a bigger and better knife if she would just up the one she had. She still wouldn't do it. Needless to say she got expelled and the police called on her for threatening a student with a weapon.
Point is, Once people get in their head, they aren't going to think rational anymore. Korryn was the same way. She lost this shit all the way around. Nothing she did helped anything. No police officers are dead, she's dead, her kid got shot and all on some bullshit that was totally irrational. If that is how we suppose to fight for the cause, then count me out. I'm doing more good for my people alive than dead, especially if I have any control of the moment. If the chick got a mental problem, then family, friends, and society failed her. She wasn't as ready as she believed and paid the ultimate cost.

And that part was to show cause and effect. She escalated an encounter that didn't need to get escalated. That led to that warrant being served. Sometimes we set ourselves on a path that doesn't unfold in our favor. Again I'm sorry she died. I'm sorry for her kids. I'm also sorry no family or friends got her the help she needs.

Pulling a shotgun on a cop serving a warrant and saying you ain't coming out alive and they ain't getting in will tend to cause the swat to show up. Swat and negotiators and family trying to negotiate as well as a boyfriend being overheard in the background by the family member on the phone with her telling her to give up peacefully. All those things came into play. She decided that she was going to die that day.
But people who should know better are definitely going to influence mentally unstable folks to think this is the way. Comparing this to a slave scenario? Calling her a warrior? Best believe there are some unhinged people eating this shit up right now. It's only going to hurt the cause in the long-run.
Especially since social media is such a pressured filled world. Make one opinion that folks don't agree with, and your entire circle can turn on you.

Honestly man, I don't even know. We can make this about a lot of things. people going to think what they want to think and believe what they want to believe. Again I purposefully waited before I responded. Seeing her actions and statements she made on that traffic stop is what made me think she may have pointed a gun. Even if she didn't she darn sure was loading one in hey own video.

Being able to defuse a situation like that is not just on the police. The person in the house has a role to play as well. If they ain't coming out and there is a kid involved what do you do? Honestly? Talking didn't work.

She was. And people were encouraging her to keep going apparently so the cops made the request to fb. I don't believe They didn't delete those other vids because those were more incriminating to the girl than the police. I can't believe anyone supporting her chose to repost them. Those are what are swaying public opinion as evidenced even in here
ankhheru, & that's my point~~ we do not know, it's just the word of the police; the same police who shut down her FACEBOOK LIVE; the same police who deleted most of her social media; the same police who elected not to wear body cams. As for her traffic stop, yes ..she was heated, however I cannot make an assumption what she'll do in another situation.
On the real, ankhheru, I think White Supremacy is irrational, so expecting a person to act rationally in the face of the irrationality of White Supremacy is a difficult task.
They may have deleted other vids. My shit is often removed on Facebook. That's how they get down but if she was streaming live and dumb assess were encouraging her then leaving it up wouldn't help resolve the standoff.
Yeah it's also possible they deleted them but them being brought back up did not help her case.

That could be the case but common sense, past history of her actions with they police and that video of her loading her gun and prepping her son to die simply don't help me to come to the same conclusion.
