Pat Riley regrets letting Dwyane Wade leave the Heat

Not really. He got out of Wade what he wanted. Sort of like trading in a bitch after you get tired of fucking her. Pimped Wade's prime years for less than what he was worth and when Wade wanted back pay Riley basically told him to go fuck himself... Now Riley is playing that CAC sympathy card and because he is a CAC all will be forgiven. :smh:
See this is not true. Wade never was asked to take a paycut

Neve happened like that. Wade wanted 25 million a year and it was Micky Arison's call to pay him. Micky Arison said no. At that point it was no need for Pat to call Wade as he was not going to attempt to persuade Wade to take less.
That is how it happened. Stop excusing the inexcusable muthafucka! He never called the guy. That alone puts this shit at his feet. Pat took the hardline stance. Pat refused to contact Wade. Pat didnt reach out. Pat gave the initial bullshit offer which poisoned the waters.. Pat didnt do his job.. Mickey flew to NY to clean his mess up. Riley is full of shit..Fuck that cac.

Pat is taking full responsibility and there are no indications from him or the organization otherwise so again... Link?
That is his job to take responsibility. That was all PR talk. The Heat had no intentions of keeping Wade or regrets that he left.

Think about it. If they wanted to keep him they would have made an effort.

You just making stuff up now. That is not how it happened

Should have paid that man. Fuck Pat. Greatest player in franchise history you don't do him like that!! :smh:

I am from Miami. This is widely known. Miami simply did not have the cap space to sign Wade.

Utter Bullshit. :hmm:
Completely incorrect. :hmm:

Pretty sure I already explained this to you in the other thread... But in case you ignored it....

Yes, Miami HAD the cap space.
They just misused it.

Because Riley signed Hassan Whiteside & Goran Dragic BEFORE he signed Wade.

There's all your 'Cap Space' right there.

Wade wanted to be treated like the number #1 franchise player who won them 3 rings... And get his deal signed BEFORE... NOT AFTER.... the 'Johnny Come-Latelys' who have never been an all-star at any point in their careers, or never led a Championship team.

If Miami signs Wade's contract FIRST...then
'Cap Space' is a problem for Goran Dragic's agent. (Or Hassan Whiteside's agent) Get it? :hmm:

Being Pat's call was coming completely false. I am not sure where he got that from. But far from the truth.

It was ENTIRELY Riley's fault.
And he knows it.

(But YOU refuse to admit it to yourself :hmm:)

Bottom line is...

You NEVER sign BJ Armstrong & Toni Kukoc.... BEFORE you sign Michael Jordan.

You NEVER sign Danny Ainge & Greg Kite... BEFORE you sign Larry Bird.

You NEVER sign Eric Snow & Drew Gooden... BEFORE you sign Lebron James.

That shit is basic 'common sense'.

If you value their contributions... you deal with your A1 Superstar first. Not the bench players. Or the 'sidekicks'. :smh:

Talk that ole... 'there wasn't enough cap space' bullshit... to folks who don't know what time it is. :hmm:

Pat Riley out here 'copping pleas' because he KNOWS he should have negotiated Wade's contract FIRST (on 'GP') out of respect for all that he did for the team, so that he could retire in a Heat jersey.

He didn't have to swim across the Atlantic, or sell one of his kidneys, or do none of that shit he talking about.

All Riley had to do (and all Wade wanted from
him) is to say some shit like.... "Wade. You are the VERY BEST player in the entire history of this franchise, and this is probably your last contract... What will it take for you to retire in a Heat jersey?".... Or some shit like that... to START OFF negotiations.

But Riley didn't think Wade was even worth it. :smh:

So Wade bounced. End of story.

In all seriousness... Pat Riley is a despicable human being. This insincere, disingenuous, passive aggressive bullshit is insulting to anyone reading it...especially DWade.... No you leather face cac, nobody needed you to swim the Nile river, and fly crop dusters and hide in trash cans and whatever other over dramatic bullshit you're selling... You were expected to do your fucking job!!! Pick up the fucking phone and make a fair market offer for the guy who brought you 3 titles and salvaged your overhyped reputation you dishonest piece of shit. How about not offering the greatest player in franchise history a $10million offer in an environment where such an offer has been relegated to fucking bums?!!

Wade had a 30 million cap hold and we did not have his full bird rights because if the Whiteside signing. So I am not sure what you are talking about

I am not proving a link because I don't need to dig one up. You will believe what you want to believe and I am cool with that. Yall care more about Wade than Miami fans.
Way to tap out... You cant deflect from the fact that you are talking out of your ass...

It is just not that serious. People leave for other teams in free agency all the time. Wade is not a 25 million a year player.
Its obvious that serious because you are working hard swinging that cape Bruh, then you get all defensive. If its not that serious, why get so defensive? :D

At this point in his career Wade is very difficult to coach in today's game... With his old man slow pace tempo it just kills the offensive flow your club may have and yet Wade is actually playing better than he has in years with this style..
So it became more about what best for the long term of the club vs whats best for your club now..
I really think Pat wanted Wade, but not for the money he was asking for, so at the end of the day it was a business move, so why not move on by simply wishing Wade the best with out putting his foot in his mouth...

Your read that defensively. What is there to defend in the first place? Wade took more money and the Heat said no. Nothing really to defend. I am for one glad we let him ride.

Also being from there, I concur what @BrownTurd told you guys. Its completely Mickeys call.

In fact Mickey told Pat to remove himself from the situation completely. To remove the "emotion" from the negotiation. And when he went to see Wade it wasnt to repair anything or even to convince Wade of anything. It was just as a curtosy. Mickey wasnt budging one bit and Pats hands were tied.

The truth is during the big 3 era Mickey had to pay some tax money and he doesnt want to do it anymore, and the real killer here is he feels DWade has been paid in full cause he gets a full salary despite missing alot of games in the last couple of years.

Thats the word on the street anyway.

great for mickey cause his team is going to be in the cellar forever.
but at least he don't have to pay taxes.
good luck with ticket sales though

Wait ... Dwyane Wade is the greatest player in Franchise history?

Lebron played there, ain't it?

Or are you disqualified from consideration for playing less than some completely arbitrary no. of years?

Yes, D Wade was by far more important and more identifiable to the history of the Heat than LeBron was.

Rarely do star players stay with the teams that drafted them. At some point you do have to move on. This is why no one should ever get upset when a star player leaves because for the most part it usually ends bad.
The Heat had no intentions of keeping Wade especially at that price. You could see from the negotiations. It seems it is was just a matter of formality. Wade should have been preparing after LeBron left to go to greener pastures where it could extend his career and he play in a winning situation.
I know cats wanna get paid and his ego is what has made him an all time great, but everyone gets old. No matter how you feel, the body will tell you otherwise.
The Heat has an initial bad breakup with Zo. Things will work out, but it was time to move on for both parties.

Yes, D Wade was by far more important and more identifiable to the history of the Heat than LeBron was.

There is no more significant event in Heat history than Lebron James JOINING Miami. He won two while there.

I promise you the highlight of the Heat organization is the Lebron years when people look back.

there's a significant difference between wade is the best player in franchise history vs. the best player to put on a heat uniform...wade is the best player in heat franchise history...you're being petty/disingenuous arguing otherwise

So, that suggests there is a certain no. of years that one has to play for an organization to qualify for a team's 'best ever'.

Nah i agree with that 100%. They had no intention of keeping him.

The best scenario would have been for the team to be honest with Wade as soon as the season ended so that he and his agent could get to shopping right away.

Thats where they really fucked him. Cause Wade could have gotten better from a another team. Maybe go to a contender.

Fam, you know "what on the street" means?

You can take it or leave it, and when you get info on your stank ass team I wont question you.

Yeah... it means a lot of people who don't know shit talking and gossiping...

And the fact that you got all butt hurt and defensive like a little bitch over a simple question proves my point, that your clown ass don't know shit but is on here trying to pass off bullshit rumors as fact...

Keep on with that 'word on the street' bullshit, and get some testerone in your system... You sound like a sensitive little bitch actually...

I'm a grown man not a weasel ass little boy like clowns like you, so all that stank ass team shit really doesn't get me all emotional like you lil Niggas!

Ok

You do realize that D Wade won them their first chip and carried the team on his back years before LeBron got their right? Can't say LeBron did that but hey, according to you LeBron is more important to their history than Wade so...

I think Dwayne Wade is a tremendous talent but I think Chris Bosh negotiated his contract better the year Labron James left.
