Utter Bullshit.

Completely incorrect.
Pretty sure I already explained this to you in the other thread... But in case you ignored it....
Yes, Miami HAD the cap space.

They just misused it.
Because Riley signed Hassan Whiteside & Goran Dragic BEFORE he signed Wade.
There's all your 'Cap Space' right there.
Wade wanted to be treated like the number #1 franchise player who won them 3 rings... And get his deal signed BEFORE... NOT AFTER.... the 'Johnny Come-Latelys' who have never been an all-star at any point in their careers, or never led a Championship team.
If Miami signs Wade's contract FIRST...then
'Cap Space' is a problem for Goran Dragic's agent. (Or Hassan Whiteside's agent) Get it?
It was ENTIRELY Riley's fault.

And he knows it.
(But YOU refuse to admit it to yourself

)
Bottom line is...
You NEVER sign BJ Armstrong & Toni Kukoc.... BEFORE you sign Michael Jordan.
You NEVER sign Danny Ainge & Greg Kite... BEFORE you sign Larry Bird.
You NEVER sign Eric Snow & Drew Gooden... BEFORE you sign Lebron James.
That shit is basic 'common sense'.
If you value their contributions... you deal with your A1 Superstar first.

Not the bench players. Or the 'sidekicks'.
Talk that ole... 'there wasn't enough cap space' bullshit... to folks who don't know what time it is.
Pat Riley out here 'copping pleas' because he KNOWS he should have negotiated Wade's contract FIRST (on 'GP') out of respect for all that he did for the team, so that he could retire in a Heat jersey.
He didn't have to swim across the Atlantic, or sell one of his kidneys, or do none of that shit he talking about.
All Riley had to do (and all Wade wanted from
him) is to say some shit like.... "Wade. You are the VERY BEST player in the entire history of this franchise, and this is probably your last contract... What will it take for you to retire in a Heat jersey?".... Or some shit like that... to START OFF negotiations.
But Riley didn't think Wade was even worth it.
So Wade bounced.

End of story.
